Back then you would have 1 cars 2 laps ahead of everyone and people left at halfway mark.
@@ManMountainMetals Then the best team/driver/car won. There weren’t 36 cars finishing on the lead lap and only a few cars actually competing for the win. Who’s ever out front can’t be passed because of “aero push”? I’ll take one or two cars on the lead lap any day.
@Timster2 back then it pissed people off and they quit watching after 3/4 of a race.
@Timster2 best driver and or team no longer wins because it is entertainment now, oh, and I am not saying it is better now. I was discussing why it changed the way it did.

Hey, NASCAR, it sure would be nice to run this race on July 4th or the weekend of the 4th again. Moving this race to August was like taking the Southern 500 away from Labor Day Sunday.
