Being good at sport is nice. I think the tk guy is way more athlétic. But I also think he lost the "fight" by winning the sport.

That first fight was such a crock of shit. As soon as the taekwondo dude got rocked he’d lie on the floor, then the ref would call a break. If this was under MMA rules then taekwondo guy would be drinking his meals out of a straw for the next year or so
If it was MMA, taekwondo guy would've jumped on him after the first head kick
I agree he fell waaaay too many times. In kickboxing, if you fell like that repeatedly and it wasn't from a strike, the ref would give you a warning for intentionally falling and then deduct a point if you kept doing it. If it were from a strike, it'd be an 8-count most likely. 3 knockdowns in a round is an automatic TKO so TKD guy would have lost under the majority of standup striking rule sets.

Yep. Crazy that there are so many TK babies crying that we can notice the irregularity. At 4 mina in you can see them OUT of the ring and the ref let him punch the powerlifter a 2nd time.
They protected the stick every time. Its no different than a hood fight where everyone pushes the white guy off but wont interfere when their buddy has em wrapped. Has happened to me, even.
I'm having a hard time being entertained by the first fight, clearly using every discrepancy available to favor Tai Kwon do, had that been anything goes it probably would have ended differently, c'mon dude had arms and legs as long as slender man 😂

I don't understand why ground game is off limits. I think to truly showcase their skill they should change the rules.
@@thebearcat4735 as soon as the Tae Kwon Do boy missed a good connect with that first kick , he was all "ooh look he took me down, time to stand us back up again". If they want to keep ground game out of it, then they need to adjust the rules so guys like that can't take advantage of them like that. A takedown is a takedown, but this dude was just falling so he wouldn't get hit. They should penalize him if he didn't actually get knocked down, or tackled down.
Initial observations, other than the most glaringly obvious:
The ref is none other than legendary K-1 referee, and retired fighter Nobuaki Kakuda. The kickboxer is Brazilian-Japanese Minoru Kimura. A longtime K-1 and MMA Vet himself, who famously lost to legend Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett and more recently, another legend in Buakaw. Kimura had both of his most recent wins (including the one in the highlight) overturned for steroid use, since Japan started testing for PEDs. What made it hilarious is he was so confident that he would test clean, he demanded the second test and still got popped. He married pornstar Mei Matsumoto, so I guess that's a win or loss, depending on how you view it.

When you play the rules.
In sport karate in the 80s they push the rule for diqualification if you hit the back.
So everyone start fighting sideways almost backward doing a lot of back kick.

That whole "fight" was awful. Slender Man over there could just fall to the ground, jump out of what appeared to be the arena or initiate a clinch himself once the tren guy forced hiis way inside. Ref just says he's safe like it's fking baseball and they reset to where tae kwon do can use his long ass legs at range. TRT can't clinch, can't grapple and when he finally does start throwing and landing haymakers, the tall dude can just collapse to the ground. When doing that in an actual fight would be the opposite of a good idea. I can imagine a Mortal Kombat game where you just spam collapse to ground and force a reset when in a position that isn't to your advantage.

No, this was a disgrace. The taekwondo guy is a coward. He kept intentionally going out of the ring or falling when the other guy would get the better of him. Seems like the referees were in on it too pulling the big guy away as he was getting shots in.
