The Tiger, an unmistakable silhouette! This tank along with the Panther and King Tiger are awesome. It's a shane they were let down by poor mechanicals, but with hindsight a good thing to defeat the Austrian Corporal!
I salute all those involved in this mighty effort to restore and keep these vehicles running and put on show for our benefit. Any chance of a gas turbine tank like the M1 Abrams please??
I love how in an actually decent film like Fury, they thought it was a good idea to have the tiger advance from a perfectly safe position, that gave them an advantage and what not, but what is truly entertaining is everyone is pointing it out. Simply majestic, while it was beaten later in the war, I believe no tank brought more fear to the allies.
I think alot of people seem to forget that in that movie the Shermans fired a load of smoke shells at it so if it stayed where it was it couldn't see. Forcing it to advance from its starting position. Whilst I admit the movie isn't perfect, people forget the smoke 😅 Spectacular tank though, and whenever it turns up on anything it always steals the show :D
@@wilkiecort5557 Then again, no Tank commander in the German army would order advancing towards the open field, there were better option such as using the greenery as cover and change position to an equally advantageous position. But that would probably be the more boring option for a film, I would say while realistically it is the most awful decision, for entertainment it is the best. And it is fascinating, in WW2 it brought fear, nowadays, people see it and respect it and are genuine interested in something that wasn't actually that great, there were a couple examples where it seemed the Tiger was practically invulnerable but generally what we know now it wasn't actually good, it was just that everything else was awful.
@@ninetenduh Yeah that's true. Like you said though, makes for a more interesting scene :D If you have the opportunity there is a T-34 movie from Russia. That is about as realistic as a world of tanks game 😂 I'm always amazed at model kits. These were once super secret weapons of war, and now you can get an accurate scale model of one down the hobby shop. It's so weird when you think about it 😅
@@wilkiecort5557 Ah, ye, the T-34 film, while majority is plain comical, it has a lot of realism in it, the bullet travel and ricochets, all the shrapnel, is as realistic as it gets. Imagine telling a Secret Weapon designer 60 years later that his grand inventions are available as a model kit down the road XD
actually decent film fury??? hahahahahahaaaaa you are delusional ! american we are the greatest BS! in its worst form .an insult to to intelligence and bravery of troops on both sides

@2.01 - high rpm, for me unnecessary stress for the old maybach - why no shifting gears ....? It is Jonathan at the wheel, and finally , around 4.10 he changed gears.
Absolutely excellent. If I have to be critical I would ask whether it is necessary to have a person protruding from every hatch. It distracts from the lines.
@@inhocsignovinces1419 Except that the Tiger was rare as there were les than a 1000 produced through the war, and at the same time the Sherman 76 was able to penetrate the tigers frontal armor at over 1000 meters, was cheaper and was produced way more, the tiger being so superior to other tanks is a myth
@Apyr How many were produced is of no matter. Focusing on production totals is a non-sequitur. Math (combat statistics) do not lie. All toll, after NSDAP Germany was obliterated, statisticians determined the average loss of Sherman “variants” per Tiger I encounter was about five to one. Yes, but a relative combat value but read on. Using production totals and paper ballistic values… matters little on the field of battle (which is Lady Luck’s domain).

All you had to say about T-72 was that it was cheap and criticize tactics and training without knowledge of the reality on the battle field? T-72's were easier to mass manufacture when compared to T-64, that's different, and by no means implies inferiority in any way to contemporary competitors. And what's this non-sense about "attack tank"? Leopard-1 was an "attack tank", actually more like SPG, not really MBT with it's lack of armor. Why not mention how Chieftain tanks were mauled by T-72's in Iran-Iraq war? Chieftain was a total dude. May be mention how T-64 & T-72's introduced to the world the first APFSDS rounds and "spaced" armor? All in all sounds like obviously biased British point of view.
@@SuperIv7 You think the Challenger sucks? Russian Tanks are being blown apart in Ukraine by dumb RPG's. Western tanks would resist those attacks or at least the crew would likely survive.
@@hiddendragon415 umm.. first of all, do not blubber your propaganda crap to me. No, modern versions of T-72's in Ukraine are NOT being blown apart by RPG's, though no tank is invincible [obviously]. Absolutely amazing. The Tiger is my all time favorite tank and ty to the museum for maintaining this wonderful piece of history. Cheers from 🇺🇸
Well said indeed thank you tank museum

Visited The Tank Museum from Australia in 1988, managed to get a photo with Tiger 131. Happy days!
What a marvellous show. Thanks to all the old soldiers for the unforgettable quality of this show.
Greetings from Australia , well done to all involved
What a coincidence, here I am having a cup of coffee from my Tiger 131 mug I bought from the tank museum several years ago then this video pops up :)
drone-tech + tanks-parade = just great stuff
Loved the view of the driver as the Tiger was going along
Very cool. I liked how he ripped apart the Tiger tactics in the Fury movie. ;)
Is the T-72 correct most of the ones I have seen the turret is separate from the chassis and is on the ground a few metres away ?

Fantastic!
David Willey killing it!
Didn’t know the tiger had a wheel I thought it had steering tillers like every tank interior I’ve seen
That’s cool
It was the first tank to start having them too. I can't imagine it was very comfortable with the tillers.
Tiger I Tank ist the most Iconic Tank of second world war.
Tiger day always turn for me into Centurion day because I love that tank. Thanks for the wonderful display.
Thank You
Thanks David. Setting history as what actually happened.
The Tiger is a cool machine, but IMO the most impressive engine roar goes both to Leopard 1 and Leopard 2
The driver is wearing a mask 😂😜😂😂😂
I'm in armor heaven! Love them all.
I travelled 300 miles for this event. Definitely worth it
Tiger tank,One of the most notorious, feared war machine truly a beast, yet truly magnificent
Tiger sounds good for 80years old!
ABSOLUTELY GREAT TOO SEE ALL FINE AND MOBILE NICE VID THANKS 😊.
Wow that's awesome 😳 The Germans really knew how to build some really good looking tanks.👍👍👍
Knew?
I don't think the Leopard 2 looks any less pretty.
Former tank commander. This is really cool.

It was very mistakenly during ww2. Apparently the Americans used the word tiger and tank interchangeably
Hats off to the commentator 👍
nice to see Dara O Briain driving that tiger 😄

It needs normaly 9 US Sherman Tanks or 10 Soviet T-34 Tanks to destroy one German Tiger I Tank.
