Such a neat interview! And the fellow on the right is such a gracious host! Bringing them all sorts of good Vegan and raw vegan food and even sending them back with some yummy goodies. Really neat hearing all the stories.
Know Civ since 89 when GB toured Italy. I was hosted in GB HQ in summer 1990.. Civ, Walter and Alex (r.i.p.) were living in Queens, great memories. Civ is a really nice and smart dude and a great singer, sincere and inspiring.
Absolutely loved this episode! Wait who am I kidding? I love all the OG Talks! Had the pleasure of meeting Civ and his family this past summer and what a wonderful soul. Check out this episode and all the others, you'll be glad you did!
Thanks so much for your feedback Kevin. We have enjoyed meeting Civ as well. It is always a bit of a nerve wracking moment when you meet a person you look up to and admire. So many questions... Will I get disappointed after meeting him? What if he is hard to talk to ?Thanks GD everything went great . He is such a genuine soul! We are so proud he comes to the restaurant with his wife and daughter. In this particular interview we learned how big of a role straight edge and veganism play in Civ's life. So grateful we were part of this conversation. Vlad & Eddie
Well done! I’m showing up two years after this first aired (looking to watch some ‘Biscuits videos tonight), and was very happy to see this. Love the format.
Never heard Civ interviewed, he's way interesting. Great series this OG Talk. I was right by your spot last summer and didn't even know about this place.
When you are interviewing someone telling really interesting stories please let them finish, don't keep cutting them off and talking over them. There were like 3 stories we never got to hear the end of. Civ is such a cool guy and tells great stories.
Well nyc is NOW getting similar to the way it was back in the 80’s...... not like I mind either as it was definitely more exciting. I’ll never forget ditching school back in 89’ and taking a train up to nyc by myself for the day. It was scary but exciting. I was only 17 granted. Also I never quite got the vegetarian thing.... I tried it in college and I still gained some weight didn’t feel much better from when I ate meat and didn’t look much better either. To sum it up it nothing for me. I think people that eat meat on a moderate basis are easily as healthy and energetic as any vegan. To hear civ say he was ready to starve almost makes me laugh......I knew a lot of vegans in college and what I found it was being vegan was a way for those kids to have control in their life. Almost like an obsessive runner that will let NO bad weather prevent them from going for a run. But that is not the case for all vegans as some stay vegan purely for health reasons others for ethics and yet others for spiritual
So much Vegan content out there now , I watch / listen daily to vegan channels / music / films etc to educate myself more and more and also raise the Vegan algorithms on the web 🤗 we run www.patreon.com/whitecowcommunities to raise awareness and funds for a variety of causes , organisations and people bringing about positive change to our World ( that are within the Vegan ethical ideal ) a close Vegan friend and I run it 😊 Hugs from us all here in Cornwall, 🌴☀️UIK 🤗🐾♥️

A Bronx Tale is such a good movie that deserves more love. It's a modern classic.
