Smith Mountain Lake near Roanoke, Virginia is one of our favorite places to getaway for the weekend or for the holidays. We love hanging out on the deck watching boats, kayaks, and paddle boards go by. There's swimming, boating, and lots of fun places to visit nearby especially for kids! Lunch at Moosie's and then games at the arcade at Bridgewater Plaza is a must for us! A special treat is Homestead Creamery's delicious ice cream! We've made many great family memories at the lake or day trips to Roanoke, Bedford, Lynchburg, and more. One day we'll have to RV here and experience it that way!
