    I have the x line trim and I love it. I just wish I had a few more features added to it like heated steering and ventilated seats. Great car very comfortable and luxurious feel.

    I just bought a 2024 X-Line Sportage. I really like it so far.. From what I was told there is a reason why it has wired Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The reason is the the infotainment system on this car has full Navigation. On the base LX model without Navigation the Android Auto and Apple Car Play is wireless.

      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว

      It makes sense. However I personally prefer the CarPlay system as a nav, and the industry seems to place their built-in nav systems first. I don’t blame them… but come on!!!

      Absolute pleasure to have a Raitis Rides fan in the comment section…love it. I would say about 4 Twinkie’s and maybe a bottle of Mountain Dew to wash it down.

    Wow sick car. I would buy cross bars just for looks. I have a 2022 K5 and hands down the best car I owned. Its fun to drive, aggressively priced and styling the best in the segment. Kia did a great job with this Sportage though. Enjoy the car.

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally haven’t done any off-roading yet. If anything it would only be suitable for the light stuff, since the Sportage X-Pro’s only real advantage would be its tires. It’s nothing compared to the true off-readers like the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, etc. Hope you make the right decision and if you do get the chance to off-road this, let me know how it goes!

    Would you say it has enough power for short highway driving and to also keep up in the fast lane?

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s on the slower side (0-60mph in 9 seconds), but it can get up to speed pretty easily in sport mode from 50-75mph with no issue.

    Hi would you know the exact measurement (length) of the Kia Sportage wireless charging pad?

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was able to do a quick Google search and found that it’s 6.5in long and 3.25in wide. I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max and with a pretty beefy case and it fits and charges just fine!
      I usually use CarPlay, so I’m charging through the USB the majority of the time, but it’s there when needed.
      Hope this helps!

      @@austingilbert Many thanks for responding! The reason I asked is because I'm choosing between the Samsung S23 plus & ultra, but I like the ultra more because of its S pen and it measures a little less than 16.5 cm, so I really need to know if it'll fit before purchasing it. Thanks again!

    How many mpg on highway and how long you had this suv and had you drove to NY or other states lately

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@JrH-y8g Hey there! I’ve had it for about 2 years now. My commute to work is 40 min, 99% highway, so I’m fortunate to get pretty good mpg. I average in the 26-29mpgs, depending on which lane I’m in. I’ve driven quite a bit, including Rhode Island, Maine, and CT.

    I've really been considering this as my first car as well.
    What made you choose this model trim vs the hybrid model, I'm stuck between this model and the hybrid?🤷🏿‍♀️
    Thanks for the detailed review. Enjoy the car. 😊

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you’re considering it, been about 3 months with it and no sign of regret whatsoever!
      When I saw this car when it first released, my mind was blown away by its value and appearance. I was looking to get the most value for my money with the budget I had, looking at the top of the line trim levels. That said, I was also considering the hybrid, simply for the fuel economy. If you have a 20+ min. daily commute, or drive often in general, this option is worth the price if it’s within your means.
      Personally, the SX Prestige Hybrid was just outside of my budget. The reason I chose the X-Pro Prestige model was because of those extra features (ventilated seats, exterior styling, 360 camera, etc.) The hybrid also has all of those if you go the prestige route, but if your main focus is fuel economy, and not so much features/styling, any of the hybrid models will make you a happy camper!
      Also, when you’re at the dealer, just focus on the OTD (out-the-door price), don’t let the salesmen get you to spill the beans of monthly payment.
      I hope this helps, and that you make the choice that’s best for you. Best of luck!

    • @jessahblanchard6515
      @jessahblanchard6515 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@austingilbert does that mean you should not give the salesman a budget for monthly payment you can afford? I'm planning to get this after I pay off my car in 3yrs. It's still a long time but I wanna be smart this time.

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jessahblanchard6515 Hi there! Once you provide an “ideal” monthly payment, they’re going to steer you away from the one you like, and into different trim, model, etc. Try to get the sales person down to an out the door price, or final price, on the one you love, then you’ll be in a better position to discuss monthly payments along with your potential trade-in value. Wishing you the best of luck!!!

    What differences does the x pro have from the x pro prestige? I don't know which one to choose

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very similar trims, so you won’t see too many differences in terms of overall appearance. The more notable differences are two standard features in particular, cooled seats and power passenger seat. You will enjoy either one, just comes down to personal preference. Best of luck with your decision, and hope you enjoy as much as I do!

    What made you choose the Kia Sportage off-road over a the other midsize brands like Subaru, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, GM off road vehicles? Do you have a favorite area to go off-roading? If you decided to live in a vehicle 24/7 would this be your first choice for the price? Have you ever considered pulling a camping trailer?

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hi there! I wasn’t necessarily looking for an off-roader, more so for the style. It was between this and the SX Prestige Hybrid for me, and this one with the design and lower market price at the time won me over! This being a total redesign for this model made me like it over a RAV 4 or Honda CRV with the CVT transmission. This is an all around great choice for having 24/7 for my current needs, ideally I would have some sort of muscle car on the side for some fun driving. Haven’t yet considered towing, but it’s a definite possibility. Looking forward to what this thing is capable of, hope this helps, and thank you for tuning in!

    How does it feel on the road with all terrain wheels? And how’s the acceleration ?

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว

      Much smoother ride than expected. Acceleration…it’s no sports car, but in sport mode you get up to speed smoothly and relatively quick for a compact SUV. I believe 0-60 is somewhere in the 8-9 second range, average for this segment.

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      MSRP for the X-Pro Prestige is hovering around $38,000 - $40,000. If you’re able to one for MSRP that is a great purchase. I was able to get mine at MSRP, but I was lucky to get the last one on the lot!

      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not sure about how long the engine will last. Personally I haven’t had any issues whatsoever (knock on wood). Any malfunctions is by chance with any and all vehicles, difficult to say given this is a 2023 model year. So far, so good!

  • @danrussell3509

    I love the looks of this car but I have to be honest , from many ,and I mean many reviews that I watched of a vehicle that I was 99% sure that I was going to purchase this is the only one that I ended up saying no to. And it was several factors that led me to my decision and not just one . But I will tell you the main one . This vehicle as pretty as it may be was made 7 inches longer which gave it more room and with that room came more weight . But KIA dropped the ball by not making the cars horsepower match its size and weight of the car .IMO it is simply under powered . I know everyone will cry about the loss of gas milage with more horsepower but remember that you do not have to have the pedal to the metal all the time . And zero to 60 mph in just under 10 seconds is a disappointment to the name " SPORTage"

    • @austingilbert
      @austingilbert  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment! Power is not this vehicle’s strong suit. I am hoping they play with the idea of having a more powerful version of this in the future, something similar to Hyundai’s “N” Line. Until that day comes, definitely seek an alternative! Wishing you best of luck in your car buying experience, and hope you fall in love with your final choice.
