I forgot how much I love this score. I actually got goosebumps listening to this. I'm reading the book again and it reignited my interest in the movie.
@@karlneith3817 it's funny you say that because when I first read Needful Things I LOVED it. Upon my second reading, I was like, why do I love this so much? But my love for the movie has stayed consistent all these years.
Goldsmith didn't use the Requiem Mass in his score for "The Omen"...it was an original composition in Latin, and I don't see how someone using the Requiem Mass could be charged with plagiarism, unless you think that a choir singing Latin is copycat. Doyle is very skilled with blending voices with instruments.
In fact, this if from the Requiem Mass Lyrics, which ahs been used by many composer's before. Goldsmith's Ave Satani doesn't use 'sactus dominus' on its verses.
Pfffff. He wouldn't need to be in NYC to cause chaos. That city can make it's own mess. Still better than his plan in End of Days, where all he wants is to have sex with a 20 year old woman despite having unholy powers to destroy the world all this time.

To be honest a unlikely case of a movie better than the book.

Sanctus dominus!
Deus sabaoth!
Now why would the Devil want to open an antiques shop in Maine? You'd think someone like him would've chosen an Apple store in New York City.
yanno I thank Rick and Morty beat you to that one.

Devil Ex Baggy
Sanctus Dominus? Sounds like an attempted Omen ripoff
