    I absolutely LOVE Kennedy Space Center and everything space related! Thanks for sharing your visit there and for also showing the Memorial area. The shuttle disasters are always devastating but the Challenger will forever be engraved in my mind and heart. As a young girl at the time, everyone was so excited about the Challenger launch. It was talked about all over the news and I even carefully tore out a page from a magazine that had their group photo and hung it on my bedroom wall. And then that tragic day happened. I will never forget it. But their memory continues on and so does space exploration. . .and what a marvelous thing it is!

      FYI - The retro NASA logo with the old font that you compared to the old EPCOT font is referred to as the worm since the letters look like a worm. This was the logo NASA adopted in the 70’s. The current logo, which was also the original, is the referred to as the meatball.

    I did not realize how many women are astronauts. That is so awesome. I remember when I was in fifth grade, about 38 years ago… I went to what was Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth Texas on a school field trip. I’m not even sure which shuttle I saw. I remember they stopped at the Air Force Base and we were allowed to go and see it in person.

    The reveal of the Atlantis after the screen goes up is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. I will say that the whole process of having to watch two videos in two theaters before you can enter the exhibit is a bit draining especially after already having to do the same thing at the Apollo Center but it's worth it.

    I LOVE going to Kennedy Space Center, I visited for the first time in 93 (I was 13), then in 2017 with my kid; and then in 2020 with my wife and kid. I get misty-eyed when seeing the original launch controls, and ABSOLUTELY lost it when seeing the Saturn. We got to meet an astronaut, but next time I want to go when there's a launch.

    Loved this video, we last visited Kennedy Space Centre nearly 20 years ago and it has changed so much. It is definitely on our list to do next March. The memorial exhibition was so nice and a great tribute to the those that have given the ultimate sacrifice.

    I got a chance to see the Atlantis exhibit when it first opened. I was full on crying by the time the screen raised to reveal the shuttle. Soooo cooool

    Wow. I so want to go there, and have since I was a kid. Without making myself sound old, I grew up with all of this and even made a scrap book from one of the Apollo missions! What a great opportunity to go there, and if I ever get over to Florida, that's where I'll be heading. Thanks for the video! It made my eyes "sweaty" with respect.

    I’ve been to Kennedy Space Center several times. Since they started to updates several years ago, it has vastly improved. It is so enjoyable for people of all ages now. Anyone asking if they should go, I strongly suggest going!

    In 1984, I went with my family to the World's Fair in New Orleans and saw Enterprise. I was impressed with how huge it was. NASA's exhibit there was one of the things I remember most about the trip.

    One thing I heard was you can be any age and still go to space camp. If you are into space travel there is a lot of great stuff. You just need to know where to look

    I’ve met space shuttle Challenger’s Commander Richard Scobee’s widow, and all the attributes of an astronaut are also found in their spouses. It is an honor to know her, and their son continues his father’s service to country as an Air Force Lt. General and Chief of the Air Force Command. Thank you so much for taking us to this very special place, especially on the Fourth of July.

    Definitely do a launch video! A SpaceX launch with a first stage landing back at the cape would be totally awesome! You'll have to plan it to see when one will do the boost back to land back at the cape. It's for some of the launches that the payload has to be in a certain orbit so they fly it back to near the launch pad and to see it would be AMAZING! Keep up your great adventures and thanks for sharing them with us.

I went to Kennedy Space center in early 2013 and have wanted to go back ever since. Atlantis is my last shuttle to see, I saw Discovery and Endeavor :)!!!!       @@SuperEnthused My dad is a Flight Nurse and he saw the space shuttle coming up, years ago he said it was such brilliant light. He said it was amazing. And, I actually remember watching the Challenger live on TV. I was very young. I've always followed the shuttle program.

    “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win.” One of my favorite quotes from President John F. Kennedy. The amount of energy, force and power to send a rocket from Earth into space is amazing technology, even back then! It blows my mind I’ll tell ya! Hopefully, in the near future, we send American astronauts back to the moon and beyond! Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸

    Brilliant, I went to Kennedy in 1997, there are of course a lot of things in your video that weren't there when I went but it's good to see that they have kept the Apollo Mission Control show and the full size Saturn V display area.
    There were a couple of things missing from when I went though. There used to be a full scale Shuttle Orbiter mock up out the front that you could walk inside and see the cockpit. There was a recreation of an area of Mars where you could drive remote control Rovers across the surface and finally the bus tour was different. When we went, the bus took us to one of the launching pads where one of the rocket engines was on display and they also took us the Apollo I memorial site.

    KSC is so kewl, Atlantis, The Rocket Garden, and Saturn V are must-sees. I want to return to see the new Delta II. Have to go to Dixie Crossroads after.

    FINALLY!!!!!
    Love the new building and all the Current vehicles there. I WILL be at the Artemis One launch! It will be thrilling, and I can compare it to the Space Shuttle and Saturn 5 launches I have witnessed. I highly suggest you be there because even 5-7 miles away the roar will go through your body you WILL feel it. BTW, did you see the Jumpsuits you can buy there!
    Finally, thank you for showing us the Astronaut Memorial. We need to remember the cost as well as the sacrifice those that dared had done for us all!

Their bravery, steadfastness, heart and all those wonderful qualities from the astronauts hall of fame, are examples of the best of the human spirit. Now I'm getting misty eyed again!

    SO showing my age here....but my one and only visit to the KSC was when the space shuttle was when I was a kid and the space shuttle was an artists rendering on the back of a keepsake tourist booklet. So amazing to see how things have evolved!

    I love this vlog of your trip to KSC, Jackie! I still remember going there back in March 1989 immediately after me and my family disembarked the Big Red Boat, and we ACTUALLY saw Space Shuttle Discovery arriving back on its transport from Vandenberg AFB!

    I enjoy all your videos but I’m especially grateful for this one. I love KSC but haven’t been there in years. If I ever get to go to Orlando again I’ll pay another visit. Thank you for allowing me to see how much it’s improved 😊

    I was 11 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon and I remember watching on our black and white TV just like the scene in spaceship earth. I remember the moment when we lost the Challenger, it's crew and Christa who had the whole country and school rooms full of children watching this famous launch. I switched planes in Dallas on my way from Seattle to Pensacola shortly after Columbia tore apart on re-entry over texas. Ty for taking us to see this awesome place. I haven't made it over there and as always your video captured so many details of what there is to see. It was perfect to end with the Memorial.💗 I would love to see you take us to a launch 😊🇺🇲

    The metal arrows outside gateway point magnetically to the different planets in the solar system. its currently used by scientists in Kennedy to get a good bearing on telescopes and what direction to launch. kinda neat.

    Great vlog Jackie, thanks for showing us so many things at the Kennedy Space Center! Andrea and I went back in 2016 and loved it but we needed more time as we had just disembarked a cruise and had a flight later that day so we had to rush through. I took my kids in 2008 and they loved it so much! Anyway great video!

    We were at Kennedy Space Center in July 1992. The Columbia was diverted to land there early that morning because of weather. Late that afternoon we were on one of the tour busses when the driver told everyone to get their cameras ready because as the bus went across the railroad tracks we could see the Columbia being moved on the back of a rail car about 30 feet away. Security was yelling at the bus driver to move along but he rolled as slow as he could so that we got pictures . It was amazing!
