My aunt is exactly the same as those people, controlling and not at all interested in understanding you, they just look for things to be upset over and find ways to control your life. Although my dad wasted no time in literally kicking her out of the house after an hour of screaming during Christmas, we haven’t talked to her since. She stole all of our spoons though… so we all kinda lost lol

So my aunt apparently had this plastic spoon she would take everywhere with her, along with some sort of… milkshake cup or whatever. She had quite the attachment to this spoon, passed down from generation to generation, or at least that’s the only explanation that made sense to me. 😂 So one night, my mom is doing dishes, and there’s that plastic spoon along with the cup that goes with it. The spoon is PLASTIC, she wasn’t going to wash it in the dishwasher, any normal person would have just thrown it away. Which is what my mom did, Cut to the next morning, a screaming match is going on in the kitchen with my aunt LOSING HER MIND. “Where is my spoon?! Where did you put my spoon?! Why did you throw it away??? Go get it back!!” I’m talking crazy shit. So after that went down we all decided “okay, a little fluke in the morning. That’s fine. We’ve got reservations to a nice restaurant for dinner and we’re gonna make the most of it.” Cut to my aunt throwing another hissy fit about her spoon AT THE RESTAURANT, before complaining about the food and storming out, taking her husbands car and driving down to super target to get fast food instead. Real classy stuff. We get home, the food was good but our moods were sour. She comes home at midnight and then another screaming match starts in the kitchen between my parents and my aunt. My mom doesn’t take shit, but she’s a patient woman. This lady was family whether we liked it or not, let’s just try to brave through this. My dad? Completely the opposite. He got right in her face and yelled “GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!” Aunt tried to backpedal a bit, saying that was going a bit far and he should calm down. My dad then responds as follows, it was something along the lines of: “Ever since you got here, you have done nothing but try to ruin my families Christmas. I’ll be honest and say I wanted you gone from day fucking one, but I didn’t want to upset my kids. We’ve payed for your dinner and you complain, we offered our home and you complain, WE THROW AWAY A PLASTIC SPOON, and you complain. I don’t ever want to see or hear from you ever again, this is the last time you set foot in my house. Now get out, before I throw you out myself!” You can probably guess, she left in the morning. We woke up in blissful silence, my mom went to do the dishes again, and lo and behold, every single metal spoon was GONE. VANISHED. REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES. We never got those spoons back, my mom was LIVID. And our Christmas soup was drunken from their bowls, burning our tongues and turning our tastebuds to ASH. …again, sorry for the lengthy story. I hope you got some enjoyment out of it! 🤣

This is absolutely adorable. Only complaint is that the splashing is kind of loud with how quiet you are through the door. The "from me" was fantastic! Liked the foot rub bit. Appreciated having someone talk me down from my need for things to be "just so." Liked the Maury reference. Always enjoy a zoot suit sighting. This was very calming and was so nice. Also, agree with the confusion about the need for all the meats. Sir, are you playing acoustic covers of "Joy to the World" and "Oh Christmas Tree" in a Thanksgiving audio? Or is this a pre-Thanksgiving Christmas audio? (It is a Thanksgiving audio. Why so Christmassy? What were other songs?) Is this your way of appeasing the people who already need it to be Christmas. Okay, this is usually a subject of contention, but my family always treated Thanksgiving dinner as the beginning of Christmas. So, from serving the meal onward it was Christmas music on the stereo. So like the macy's day parade, it's all pilgrims and pumpkins, and at the end is Santa. After dinner the we'd pool all the toy catalogs and writing lists.
