It's not that hard to talk for thirteen minutes straight (and much longer, really) when something you're very interested in is unfolding before your eyes. These guys love speed skating. Olympic events on the fastest rink in the world are the highlights of the season. I'm sure I could do the same - like I'm sure you and everyone else could when talking about something they like a lot.
