how the path of stars work also do the surface

Tips on the minibosses would be nice. I feel like the shadow spiller is more difficult than hecate and the sea serpent just melts my healthbar instantly.
How did you get privileged status in Hades 2, I mean the ability to apply it?
You *really* have to admire the care for details. The art, the voice acting, the writing, the characterization. This is what gaming should feel like.
If Supergiant finishes it this year, I think it's GOTY. I'm having SO much fun.
If they dont finish it this year then its GOTY next year 😁

I found the most success when I had a killer build that had 6 earth affinity and got the Demeter boon that capped incoming damage at 15 max. It appeared to work on the instadeath attacks on Chronos 2nd Phase.
what was your weapon and main source of damage boons?
@@jiggins670 Went with torches and stacked cast. So had demeter for blizzard cast and gale on cast, and frost on specias. Had zeus for ranged cast, omni cast, and I think some lightning. Had hephasteus for the attack and some other earth defense pumps, and I basically laid down omni casts, started up omni special and dashed around whike occasionally pinging when my attack was recharged.
yeah, its a really strong boon. Also by far the hardest to activate. But running Demeter plus Hephestus and going deep on them is extremely good (especially cause Hep is the single best boon to have on the attack you don't use). I haven't yet found their duo boon though... Then again, it can't be as baffingly bad as Hep and Hera - who in the world thought a duo boon that rewarded not having boons on your main attack would ever work?

Well, the spin doesnt use that much, its very easy to get away with just a small amount of magick regen with it

@@BlastOfferyeah, but depending on your type of magic Regen you can start recovering the magic while using the axe omega attack. Zeus here was nearly fully recovering the magic spent for the spin while spinning.
Fun fact: even in rooms like that one towards the end of this run where there were a lot of enemies, it runs at perfect 90 FPS on Steam Deck OLED without a single drop. So I’d assume you don’t *need* a very powerful PC for it to run well. The game’s optimized absolutely flawlessly.

I've faced Chronos 5 times and ALWAYS die to his 2nd phase. So frustrating !
The attack where the whole map pushes you towards him at the center, and he's dealing crazy damages in the middle, always gets me. Thanks for showing that we need to simply dash in the dark area to avoid it. Hopefuly my next encounter will be the right one !

Best way I've found to reliably apply P Status is to use Demeter. Her cast freezes and she has another boon that makes the cast have a swirling whirlwind. Those apply a different status ( cold?) So if you get both then your cast will always apply it
I believe Demeter has Freeze and Chill... they are Different Curses but they don't trigger Origination together. 🤔
@lookalike4805 if you have both gale force and Demeters cast for the freeze they definitely both count towards origination.

Staff with Poseidon special, zeus chain lightning and double moonshot hammer turns this game into a an AFK experience. You can off screen enemies and 1 shot half the screen, no aiming required lol...
I just killed them this morning! I almost quit the run because my build was garbo the first two biomes, but then i got the Heal Hex w/ 8 charges and a boon that restored my magic on damage. I was backstabbing kids for 1650 in Tartarus
I found success running aphro attack with the increased channel speed hammer and just spinning, if you get the other hammer that lets you attack normally you can just dash while spinning to get the extra I frames. Things like the Artemis boon that dashing powers up your omega moves and any of the boons that charge your magic passively go hard
random 'tip' that you've probably figured out by now, but the axe's secondary fires off three hits in a line... huge AOE and huge range, I didn't realize it was more than one for a while. And if at the right distance, things can be hit by two of them at once, for 280 damage without boons. It's surprisingly even better and safer than the attack in a lot of cases, especially considering it starts up with a block, and can literally clear entire rooms with one hit early on because it's such wide range
TBH considering there's a hammer boon that says it does the same thing (which I've never seen), it could be a glitch, IDK
But also... you can dodge while charging omega attack, and you'll spin *after* the dodge, which is also very cool. Axe is OP

Charon Aspect with Aprho cast. 22:47 finally did it this evening.
Buying a chaos gate then having to choose between it and visiting Hades is such a Monkey's paw moment.

Got my first win today too! Do not sleep on Scorch guys, I had a REALLY speedy build but the top damage was Hestia
I always put scorch on casts
The issue with Scorch is I don't Actually Understand what it Does. 🤔
I haven’t beaten Chronos just yet but fuck this game is a blast. The last 2 areas are SO HARD. The amount of enemies that spawn is insane, so many things to dodge. And I know it’ll probably just get harder after I best Chronos the first time 😭😭😭

I got to Chronos for the first time last night and got immediately destroyed. I blame Eris and her stupid blessing. Would she give me actual blessing if i give her nectar?
nah she just stops showing up after a while
she will give you a keepsake if you do, but its very much her style of "gift"

41:17 Unless there was a special you were looking for it does matter as there is an opportunity cost. Until you have all of your active boon slots filled the game is going keep giving you options to fill it, about ~70% of the time your going to get active special attack boons offered rather than three passive boons.
Love this game so much, been stuck on Chronos a lot now, he might be one of the hardest boss I ever fought on rogue games
The music messing up is a cute bug. I found a bug yesterday that caused my dash to stop working in the middle of a boss fight. Suffice to say I didn't love long after that... I think it might have been from the hex that transforms you, so maybe avoid that one.

I finally slayed Chronos with the umbral flames with aspect of Eos. The boon from Poseidon that diminishes the damage by priming some Magick is quite useful I'd say
My first clear I ended up getting the Zeus/Hera Duo sacrificing like 5 Hera boons and empowered my Zeus cast to lvl 10. To do over 100 damage a lightning strike.
On my end, I LOVE Lim and Oros, the sheer DPS that it can do with boons like Hestia's attack with Demeter's cast, I literally CHUNK through bosses. Tho in that case, Artemis' ability to crit when foes are in the cast was incredible peak.
Sister blades are by far my favorite weapon. The one omega attack hammer that makes it do 500% damage for 30 magic absolutely makes a joke out of the game with Apollo’s attack boon. Throw in the backstab damage hammer and you’re set for chronos without anything else really

@@jiggins670 AOE clear on mobs upto the boss fights, the % difference isn't massive between the two boons but being able to clear rooms with a couple of attacks saves so much time & worry
@@jiggins670 she might be just because of weak. I haven’t made use of the whole double curse damage thing yet, but as the person above said, the extra range is really nice for aoe clears

Cant wait for updates. I just finished beating Chronos and Eris, and now its just kinda stuck in that place until they get more in.
Also can't wait for a few rebalancings. There are some boons that just seem to have way too low numbers - specifically talking about Heras "When you use an omega attack with 100% magica, do 30-50% more damage", which sounds nice, but the opportunity cost to payoff ration is downright insulting. Very rarely are you ever on 100% magica unlesss you're like... playing Ionic gain.
Anyways, awesome game. Can't wait to see more. What im most interested in is probably stuff that hasn't even been introduced yet. Just like how aspects weren't originally in hades 1 and then it suddenly was.

Blitz is one of my favorites, it's usually ~120 damage after they take 120 damage, so effectively, x2 damage if it's on the main attack/special that you spam. Great on whichever one you're not using, too, to make it useful to periodically throw out a quick blitz then keep spamming
been trying too min max a white antler build crit(40%), HP boost arcane off (30hp) and have had so many good runs up too chronos, might be fun too try out especially with the flame wands
Yo Haelian. You should check out V rising. its combat is something you could get into and could be a good palette cleanser from Hades if you get burnt out. They released the 1.0 and its VERY good.

Does the audio turn muffled sometimes in this video or is it an issue on my end?
I've started to consistently beat the game with like 3 weapons now, so I'll just say that the arcana where
1. Enemies in cast take more damage (furies)
2. Privileged status (origination)
3. Omega cast having more power (moon)
4. Either the Huntress (when you're missing mana normal attack/special do more damage) or Death (5% crit on omega moves)
Are CRUCIAL to not feel like you're gently massaging enemies in floor 3 and beyond, like boiling blood and privileged status/olympian favor were nice bonuses in hades 1 but you could live without them (and BB didn't apply to statuses and casts) but it is almost a requirement for Hades 2. Like imo the TOP priority should be titan, eternity, the above four cards, and then everything else.
For Furies, you almost have to go for a boon that ensures your cast gets fired instead of just placed at your feet (either zeus, hestia, or a hades buff) and for Origination, the easiest way to do it is Hestia on cast and Hera on either your attack or special (whichever is important).
Seccond Hestia on cast + Hestia cast throwing, deals good damage by itself (only behind zeus' cast) and makes you so much more safe
@@humbertoseghetto5218 exactly this, but you gotta get origination going. I did experiment with a couple casts and hephaestus on primary cast and hestia/zeus on secondary casts are also insane if you don't want an origination run since hephaestus kinda breaks all rules that way (or you get his vent on the cast, then he's imo the best cast god in the game)
@@theformation3781 Try apollo cast with a few levels it can do over 1k then you get the ranged spinning axe and you can combo for like 2000- 2500
@Adeviant that was my first win yes, charon aspect and if you build around hephaestus good enough seem to be the only two things to actually work without really leaning hard on origination. You really can't make even the apollo cast work (like a fast run) on the staff, for example, if you just ignore origination
Honestly at this point, I just avoid all cast-throwing boons because the aiming is pretty broken. You see it repeatedly in this run, where the cast just locks onto an enemy (which is often even out of cast range) instead of going where you want it to go, even when auto-aim is off
Not to mention they don't fire when it charges omega, only when you let go, so you're likely to spend a lot of time accidentally holding it longer than you need to, it's just a bad time all around
The strat seems valid once they fix that, but until then it's just too awkward and annoying to use

1548 lol. I didn't even know it does that much. I just tanked it because it took so long to cast and I had the 15 dmg limit boon. Perfect opportunity to deal dmg while only taking 1 hit.

I’m noticing you’re getting a lot of stuff I didn’t. I just got to Chronos for the first time and never encountered Hades…you’ve also had quite a few encounters with Chronos that I never got…I wonder if it’s just RNG or if my save is glitched. I’m honestly tempted to restart but I’m so close to unlocking the first set of hidden aspects. Just need 2 more bronze
I missed out on a Secret Ingredient because I didn't Pay Attention to the Interface.
Next time you're in Any Menu.... Examine it Thoroughly so you don't Windup Missing out on Half of the Game like I Did. 😳
What a fight. Still haven't mastered it enough to get him to phase 2. I *think* they should tune him a bit, he hits for a metric crapton, the animations are kinda hard to read sometimes and the whole thing is kinda hectic-ish, a lot more than Hades fight. And before anyone says "hurr durr god mode", if one can do H1 heat runs without god mode, then one can assume that the end boss (or at least this incarnation of the end boss) should be beatable after 5-6 attempts. Even with bullet time, grandpa Kronos kinda sucks, literally and metaphorically.
Although it does Hurt... I care less for his Damage output more than I do that His Attacks always seem to Come out of No Where. 😤
@@lookalike4805Yeah. This is the main issue. All the other bosses indicate that something is about to happen. You got to have ridiculous split second reflexes to see where / what he is going to do.

Also, how did he restart at 18:14? I got a freeze bug in the middle of a run and when I restarted it was like the night never happened.
I think this was the 11th escape attempt or so. If the game gives you the option to Quit (NOT Give Up) from the main menu, it will save your progress.
Hi, so yesterday I finally beat Chronos with the sisters blades aspect of Pan. Guys give it a try, it is similar to the bow of Charon. 1,5k damage on each special attack.
How do you unlock aspects? Heading to my 20th run and didn’t even unlock all weapons
Honestly I don't know, it just happened. I am at my 26th run now.
Took me 40 Attempts and I wasn't Able to Beat him Again after that....
As long as you keep upgrading the Pot I think you'll eventually Unlock Aspects....

I was offered an infusion boon for 4 water, when I only had 3. Anyone know if that supposed to happen? I didnt take it because it was later in the run and I didnt know if I'd have the opportunity to get a 4th.
happened twice to me and i was able to get enough to activate it both times
I think this is supposed to happen, happened to me many times, it's essentially inviting you to take the risk of getting a useless boon if you don't get the elements you need/encouraging you to tailor your next boon choices for the required elements.

Because he had the hammer that allows you to use the normal attack while whirlwinding. He tried a few WW's without attacking and it didn't backstab

This is my 11th-ish escape attempt. I spend a lot of time just thinking and discussing things I'm unfamiliar with, plus we don't have aspects unlocked at this point for more damage.
Hades 1 Early Access was similar... The Hydra Boss was twice as long as it is now. 👀

The problem with this game is the weapons are too weak and the cast too strong meaning the weapons end up being cosmetic.
