1 - no. 2 - yes you can create your own code and name of the device. 😁

it can record in night vision on wifi but only when recording to a memory card!

What happened to the little body connector?
This is not for FPV, there is no Video out cable provided. You just put sq13 on drone and recorded.but i want live video from drone to my video display.... please help me to get fpv video out cable for sq13
Don't buy the #SQ13 !
1) It has no secure mounting facility while plugged to power outlet.
2) It doesn't have motion detection recording!
3) Its biggest problem is that it turns off when external power is switched on!!! It stays on when it loses external power but it switches off when power is back. Therefore it's not applicable even as a dash cam!!

in sq11, the night vision/IR is disabled when connected to external power or just only usb connected. is that the same as that?

Just looked up app details on my android phone .. not many good reviews :(
Bought one charged it up, put in 32 gig card and thats all it did. When power button was pressed it would flash for a few seconds and that was it. The build quality is very poor, so you have about a 50 fifty chance that it won’t work.
Whats the battery life like because the sq11 has a very bad battery life. Also can it operate on motion detection straight on the card? I prefer to operate without wifi as i need to use it away from phone or home network
I got an SQ13 off Amazon - it doesn't have the branding on it like yours, but it uses the same app on my phone. I've noticed that if you start the camera recording with the phone app but then the phone goes out of WiFi range, the camera stops recording? Is that what you've noticed? I ask because maybe my SQ13 is a clone that doesn't behave like the 'real' one.
I don't see the point in a camera like this unless you are using it for a drone. its not very good as a home security camera and you can just use your smartphone camera to record video and take pictures on the go. seems like its just a waste of money.
Is there a manual to help troubleshoot connecting to wifi. My camera shows connected in my phones wifi settings but the app keeps saying connect camera to wifi.

why all this wifi camera dont give alarm notification directly when they detect someone ??
you most always wait 5minutes or more sometimes 10minutes with other cameras,before receiving notification..
i ve been told that the only camera that send direct notification are camera that people use to watch wild life animals

Hi, I bought the SQ13 and I have set the date stamp in the APP. however I found the the video setting including the date stamp will change back to 11/3/2018 after I restart the cam. I need to connect to the APP everytime before I take the video to get correct date stamp??

Bought one, but my stand has weak magnet, slight movement will change the angle of it. Will test it more as I just got it.
my question is whether the camera will take a single picture and then return to standby to await another trigger?

hi i worked out with the sq13 the addition of a small 3 pin programmable reset ic {tiny smd} connected too the mode button to provide 5 sec after power a period of 5 seconds pull down
can provide mode switching ie wifi actuation and from usb power it goes to wifi mode auto ...!! but you must have the card in place to hold settings the only major disadvantage too this series of cams is no firmware fixes .. programming so they are pretty imature in terms of skills of the makers... its almost worth rinning a mode wire on a buffer

Not wearable anymore because of the new mount. The magnetic metal plating has increased the weight to 24g. Cheap quadcopters will not handle that. Doesn't look very promising when driving a car, it will probably wobble and fall out of position due to vibrations. Motion detection is gone. Waiting for the full review though. Does the app support video transmission through the internet?

Exactly, no motion detection for SQ13. Both SQ11 & SQ12 have motion detection.

Geeky Stuff Maybe use SQ8 to demonstrate where they started. Then SQ 11 to show how the video quality changed for the better but sound became distorted. Then the SQ12 to show how the FOV? increased, and of course the SQ13. This leaves you with 4 cameras that you can have on screen at the same time. This is just a suggestion :-)
Btw you mentioned a while ago that your SQ10 had malfunctioned, did you fix it/get another one, or is it still dead?

The change of cable is very good but you can get better cables for the old ones simply by buying a spare designed for some bridge cameras (the Minolta A200 cables fit perfectly and don't break internally)
The mount is fairly useless except for use inside a house and the wifi is only good for remote setting and camera alignment.
It's more complex which makes it "improved" but that complexity means I still actually prefer the 12.
_I'm not sure if that makes me discerning or just odd_

finally someone who noticed that small port. despite the sq10 was the best in my opinion, I always had a hard time with the speed of the cables, taking forever to load the files

Not sure this was the right purchase for my use. Bought because it said it has WIFI. But, perhaps, it only has 1-1 WIFI with my phone, when I’dike for it to connect to my network.
My actual reason for purchase was to point at the mail drop off as, a porch pirate stole my package a few weeks ago.
