I hate to say that I called this years ago, but frankly every time that a contractor becomes a crafter inevitably they'll just start building full-sized buildings and claiming that they are "miniatures".
The new art direction in the last handful of videos is great! I love the VHS effects and retro music - what's the genre called? I'd love to listen to more of it.
That thing is a monster. Utterly impractical. Utterly awesome. I'm so looking forward to seeing how you paint it. I also love how the semi-nested design of the top implies a story -- something like the party approaching an arena, then once they beat their foe it just starts growing... and growing... and growing. Amazing work, man.
That's interesting. The party could be looking for the tower when they find the arena and the tower guardian who challenges them to a fight in exchange for access to the tower. When the fight is over, the characters inside the arena are transported to the top of the tower through a sort of translocation effect so it seems like the ground around the arena has suddenly sunk hundreds of feet leaving them on the only island of solid ground in a vast void. They now have to climb down.
It’s a vertical MEGA Dungeon!!! There are endless applications for this tower. Super happy that you created what your inner voices told you to do. Building things for no reason is the exact reason that we have awesome things. Good job as always. While you’re bricking, maybe think of some adventure ideas, or entire campaigns that could take place within. Share those ideas with us as a voiceover while your video lays bricks. Lol
This series feels like a "back in time" BMC video. Years ago I watched for the foam builds, "wash" videos, etc. This warms my heart seeing it all come full circle and back to crafting with foam on a proxxon.
So groovy, I dig the modularity of that and the insets on the spikes and Balcony are neato I don't think I've seen you do that to anything else. I think just the gladiatorial pit alone will be sick. As stated before nothing but good things will come from this.
Oh man! You have to make a glowing eye of sauron on top of that! It doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture but if you don’t it would be such a missed opportunity.
I love the unbridled freedom of expression. I'm a crafting DM, and your channel has been/is a huge source of inspiration. 😤 Thanks for all you do, appreciate ya.
Man what a tower climb adventure! Put eack level on a turn table and there could be soooo many fights. Even pinning flying creatures on the outside. I love it!
That is so massive it can be an entire RPG session in one piece of terrain. The journey to the Tower of the Dark Masters, fighting and surviving in the arena. Climbing the tower ranks to eventually challenge the Masters ruling the Dark Lands. Standing at the top choosing between becoming the new Dark Master and all the power that comes with it, or throwing down the tower driving the lands back into anarchy once again.
Black Magic Craft is going full Zorpazorp on us! Use a paint gun to do the base coat on that thing, you know the one that shoots house paint...This is the only way to do it and stay sane! Continue the great work.
I absolutely love how this is turning out. Having each of the sections be able to stand on their own sounds amazing. Being able to show the complete tower but then be able to use sections during game play is really practical.
Me and my wife have been watching these videos and we absolutely love them! I get the concerns with practicality and space and time and all - but watching you do this lets me live vicariously and dream of the oversized nonsense terrain I'd love to do if I had the space and time! I'm glad you're sticking with it and still finding fun ways to embellished and detail, imagining different uses and just chugging along.
god this thing is so cool honestly, even in this unfinished stage i immediately get so many ideas of what kind of stories could be played with it and the fact that it comes apart and can be used as colosseum and smaller tower top on its own? just 👌 chefs kiss
Sir, you are a RAD dude! Love the work you put into these videos, and your crafting! Gets me motivated! Also dig that you keep your videos at a reasonable lenght!!
Really like the top piece. Perfect choice to cap it. 👌🏼 If will look so cool painted, and pleased to hear your going to add those details 😊. That there section idea is fantastic and love the thinking of the amphitheater style gladiator base! Very clever 👍🏻
You asked why you do this. It's because you are an artist. And like all of us artists we suffer special madness that let's us see what others over look or can't even imagine. I love your work.please never stop. 💕
I LOVE THIS! There is so much potential! My brain is reeling with campaign ideas for it and the bottom arena is a wild accident! This build is incredibly fun! "Build things for no reason." I couldn't agree more!
Your latest videos are giving such a great vibe. Like I’m wondering into your 80s fueled creative mind. It’s so cool to see the creative process. Had the same experience with the videos of Trent of Miscast.
You are an inspiration man! I love to see you working on your projects from my own corner with my little but fun projects, ive found so many clever advices in your channel. Keep this good work up.
First, I want to say I loved the building montage, gave me a real '80s vibe, very cool This absolute behemoth looks freaking AWESOME with the final tower level, and it is pretty cool that is can stand alone as terrain. And as soon as you picked up the bottom section, I was like, "That looks kind of colisuem/arena-like...". And using it for mini display at a con is a really slick idea, especially because it is rather attnetion-grabbing due to its size. It is shaping up to be freaking amazing (it's pretty amazing as it is right now!), and while I know you dread the paint up, I am excited to see what that will look like, once you breath some more life into this monster. You are killing it dude, keep up the awesome work!
Amazing build! Really, it's truly impressive. on another note... I would love it if you were to do more build-a-longs. It's been a minute, and yours were always the best. Cheers to you, friend.
looks great, Jeremy! cant wait to see you add all the idols of torment marble decrepitude weve come to know and love (dodecahedron asymmetrical staircases, shattered statuery, and Cody High OST ahoy!).
Can’t wait to see this with all the details and paint on! Very inspiring stuff. Makes me want to write a tower adventure of my own and build a tower for it.
You've been such a great inspiration for me. Started watching your stuff back in 2020 and really got me into the crafting hobby for D&D and Grimdark Future. I've got shelves full of hand made crafts and 3d prints. I just finished making my vary own gaming table as well. I've pulled so many ideas from your videos and I thank you so much for that. Keep up the great work and craft on!
It is turning out so amazing. I like that it is modular and so well constructed. I am currently making a midevil castle/university and wish i would have done that. Keep it up. Love the progress.
This is one of the most epic builds ive seen. I love the aesthetic of the top section an im very tempted to attempt something similar for my own table. The use of the bottom section as a glatorial arena is genius!
Amazing. I tend to build BIG set pieces too. And often times they are for one and done scenarios so it's kind of silly. But I don't care. I have fun creating them and my players always love it when I say "you see a.... well, it's hard to describe, CLEAR THE TABLE!". That's my signal that a set piece reveal is happening. I'd love to have you and your party play this tower and y'all stream it. I know streaming your game isn't your style, but come on, that tower is epic. You gotta share.
Even though you said you didn’t have much to say, I enjoyed the editing style of this video very much. Not that I don’t value your commentary but this piece kind of speaks for itself. Keep it up!
This is crazy, impractical, massive, and wonderful! I'm inspired to start crafting myself because if you can make this, then I have no excuses not to make a market stall or some rocks.
That is insane. I applaud the effort. I also dig how you laid out how the pieces could be handy for different game scenarios. I look forward to seeing it painted and played with. Since you mentioned conventions, do any of the upper pieces nest into lower pieces to aid in packing for travel?
I simply love the build. I am a sucker for tower spikes and love the top. Gives off Dark Lord, Barad-Dur vibes from Lord of the Rings. I do also love that as you are building it see possible uses for it such as a gladiator ring. Looking forward to the next video and what details you will throw in.
For using the bottom piece as an arena what about adding some spectator stands around the outer ring, maybe some vendors. in the middle maybe add a sand based floor to make it look like an old roman style colosseum arena, maybe have some other mini-terrain to also put inside the centre area, such as columns or traps that open for the fighters to come up through? Absolutely loving this build and sorely tempted to attempt making one myself, maybe not quite so large though.
Great idea to use it as a miniature display for conventions. The ramps should be detachable then, maybe to allow this thing to rotate slowly to show off the minis to best effect?
I love the fact it’s modular and pops apart. Baradur/ Orthanc inspired look is awesome… like the gladiatorial arena idea for the base very usable and cool👍👍
I think it's a great idea to use it as a mini display thing for cons. I would totally cross over the stream of people to check out something like that up close. I'd recommend having it on a big lazy susan so people can turn it around and see all the parts and models.
Here's a possibility for greeblies on the outer walkways: something to create shade. Thought process was that those vertical spikes would make it hard to access the levels... unless they're pointed outwards. And you know someone would put something on those spikes to make it more livable below. You could bring back the paper towel "cloth" you've done in other builds. Make it sun bleached and weathered, and even have a few hanging "torn" or with burn holes. Or add wooden platforms to the upper level to make it bigger and provide shade. I'm sure you could do something with cheap wooden coffee stirrers for that, and it would give an inch or two to stick models on the part of the tower that gives more room for those bigger models. You could have a few busted, and others partially "burned" (possibly quite literally. I imagine holding a flaming wooden build would be quite the thumbnail for the weathering video)
I LOVE this series. Can't wait to see how this unfolds. Really... please don't let this one stall. I think for purposes of gladitorial use/play it would be functionally best if the overall footprint steps were kept as small as possible. Expanding the overall footprint of the piece will probably impact play and access more than the overall height does. If you can get close to the base, it's easy to reach the top, but if you have to reach over 12-18" of steps to reach the tower that will be a strain. Having doorways on the exterior with steps half way up (or more) would help this a ton. Again, can't wait to see the next few videos of how this thing grows and evolves. Bravo!.
Make some kind of seating for the lower part for spectators to watch a gladiator fight, it would slot in between the outer arches, and over the inner circle. The seating section would be in parts so the order and be changed around, and extra parts could be added to add some variety like a tunnel door where the fighters exit. The base could also be used for a circular market place, where market stalls instead of seats would be.
I personally like the un-primed, Emerald Glass Tower, look of this build. There's a Neverending Story feel to it, which is appropriate for a minis crafter, after all. That Colosseum idea is great! Fighting for the honor of attempting to ascend to the top of the tower. Wow!
She's beautiful. Always fun to see somebody decide to go all out and design a full-size building for minis I'd probably go with one big ramp or 3. Granted, with eight sides 4 makes more sense, but maybe one of the ramps was destroyed on the past?
I love this project so much though. There are so many iconic towers in fantasy, scifi, and mythology. It would be so rad to have one like this to use for tabletop RPGs or skirmish games. Well played sir.
That is going to look epic when it is painted. I like the clean look but some minor damage might add character. The locking ring around the ring might look good with some spaced out torches ( large olympic style) and the odd spike. Wouldn't be out of lining an gladiator arena. You could always put a big fire pit in the centre (good for the occasional sacrifice).
This series has been a great inspiration to get back into building things. I've been wanting to make a wizards tower for ages and I think now is the time to start planning it out and getting the materials for it.
I think it'd look great with a pair of matching ramps that curve up around the bottom wall, starting on opposite sides and maybe curving a quarter of the way around as they rise? Somehow I'm getting a Quintesson Cruiser vibe from the old transformers movie, so adding corkscrew bits fits in my head!
Looks great, Jeremy! Laying individual bricks is a beast, but it sure looks good! As an aside, I'm really digging the music and VHS look to the vids! And I really appreciate the thought you're putting into the ad reads lately. It makes them fun to watch, which is an odd thing to say when talking about the thousandth squarespace ad!
I hate to say that I called this years ago, but frankly every time that a contractor becomes a crafter inevitably they'll just start building full-sized buildings and claiming that they are "miniatures".
Crap!! I’m doomed.
They're callled bigatures. At least, that's the term Weta Workshop uses. ;)
Is that what made Knarb what he is?
like Martina from Nerdforge.
I’ll tell ye that being a crafter first yields the same net result. 😆
The new art direction in the last handful of videos is great! I love the VHS effects and retro music - what's the genre called? I'd love to listen to more of it.
Start with some “synthwave” and “vaporwave” playlists 😉
It would be fun to have a community “write a 1-shot with this tower” to see HOW many ways it can be used
That thing is a monster. Utterly impractical. Utterly awesome. I'm so looking forward to seeing how you paint it. I also love how the semi-nested design of the top implies a story -- something like the party approaching an arena, then once they beat their foe it just starts growing... and growing... and growing. Amazing work, man.
That's a fun idea...it starts as just the top bit, and then the rest emerges out of the ground!
So they can never leave the arena becaus it infinitly grows?😈
@@BlackMagicCraftOfficial or the basic arena, then the top emerge progressively from the center of the arena
That's interesting. The party could be looking for the tower when they find the arena and the tower guardian who challenges them to a fight in exchange for access to the tower. This series feels like a "back in time" BMC video. Years ago I watched for the foam builds, "wash" videos, etc. This warms my heart seeing it all come full circle and back to crafting with foam on a proxxon.
truly magnificent although enormous. Congratulations on this project 👍
Also this channel feels like Halloween in the 80s and I'm here for it!
I love how much fun you’re having with the ads. It’s a great touch and breaks up the usual feel for the commercial break!
Dude this is sick. Looking forward to seeing this completed 🤘🏼
So groovy, I dig the modularity of that and the insets on the spikes and Balcony are neato I don't think I've seen you do that to anything else. I think just the gladiatorial pit alone will be sick. As stated before nothing but good things will come from this.
Can’t wait to see this thing finished and painted, washed and dry brushed.
Love your show
Oh man! You have to make a glowing eye of sauron on top of that! It doesn’t have to be a permanent fixture but if you don’t it would be such a missed opportunity.
Dude, I love just watching the creative process.
This has been a great little series. Looking forward to the next video. On a separate note the music for this video was fantastic. Love it.
I love the unbridled freedom of expression. I'm a crafting DM, and your channel has been/is a huge source of inspiration. 😤 Thanks for all you do, appreciate ya.

just a suggestion about space... have the stairs from ground up built into the wall in a spiral around the wall, then you could have 2 or 4 entries
I absolutely love how this is turning out. Having each of the sections be able to stand on their own sounds amazing. Being able to show the complete tower but then be able to use sections during game play is really practical.
"Man, I think I made this too big..."
*Proceeds to make it bigger
Thank you for the square space idea I will be looking into it
Me and my wife have been watching these videos and we absolutely love them! I get the concerns with practicality and space and time and all - but watching you do this lets me live vicariously and dream of the oversized nonsense terrain I'd love to do if I had the space and time! This is turning out so good! I can’t wait to see it in its final form, the presence it has is so ominous and intimidating.
Love watching big projects come to life! Well done!!
Sir, you are a RAD dude! Love the work you put into these videos, and your crafting! Gets me motivated! Also dig that you keep your videos at a reasonable lenght!!

Best fondue fountain ever? Joking. Love the love and work
Looks incredible!!!! Definitely a show stopping piece 😊😊😊
Quite the layered cake you have there! Beautiful. I look forward to seeing it completed.
This is perfect for conventions!!! And splitting into 3 separate pieces of terrain is solid.
First, I want to say I loved the building montage, gave me a real '80s vibe, very cool This absolute behemoth looks freaking AWESOME with the final tower level, and it is pretty cool that is can stand alone as terrain. modular layers become their own terrain
BRILLIANT !
Love the iterative design on the top, and seeing your face say 'needs to be bigger'!! Looks great!
whoa! great job! looking forward to see it painted
Looks like a wedding cake, don't forget the bride & groom orcs on top 👍
I’ve been enjoying watching you put that massive tower together and I can’t wait to see how you going to paint it
The music was absolutely amazing in this video!
looks great, Jeremy! cant wait to see you add all the idols of torment marble decrepitude weve come to know and love (dodecahedron asymmetrical staircases, shattered statuery, and Cody High OST ahoy!).
This is looking so amazing. Keep going. Can't wait to see the finished product.
It looks really good. I’m glad you could keep it modular to some degree as the three sections all look useful individually too👍
This beyond amazing. Such a fantastic build! Very insirational!!! I love it!
Nice! Displaying minis is a great idea.
This came out so great! Incredible work!
Can’t wait to see this with all the details and paint on! Very inspiring stuff. Makes me want to write a tower adventure of my own and build a tower for it.
This looks awesome, can't wait to see more! But also, excited to see how you tackle the doorways.
4:42 you madman!
Doing this as a montage was very cool.
You've been such a great inspiration for me. Started watching your stuff back in 2020 and really got me into the crafting hobby for D&D and Grimdark Future. literally a show stopper !

This tower is really getting crazy!. Looking forward to seeing the finished project.
The painting is the part I'm looking forward to.
Amazing. I tend to build BIG set pieces too. And often times they are for one and done scenarios so it's kind of silly. But I don't care. To stay compact, rather than a straight ramp, you should do a double or triple/quadruple spiral/helix around the base!
Super happy with the amount of uploads you’re churning out!!!
I appreciate you noticing!
Great looking build man! Thanks for sharing!

Really can't wait to see it painted. Looks amazing. Keep up the work.
Again, it's great to see the progression! I'm excited to see more!
This is such a fun build! We have the crown and I am looking forward to see how the complimentary ramps/entrance ways are going to look. 😊
Great idea to use it as a miniature display for conventions. The ramps should be detachable then, maybe to allow this thing to rotate slowly to show off the minis to best effect?
I really like this series! :) For Priming/basecoating you should look into Montanas Waterbased rattlecans! they work great on foam!
If you are having fun making it, you did not make it to big. I watch your videos for the energy and joy you bring to them.
This will be EPIC when finished.
I love the fact it’s modular and pops apart. Baradur/ Orthanc inspired look is awesome… like the gladiatorial arena idea for the base very usable and cool👍👍
Love it. Looks just right!
I will admit I am waiting to see the painting of it. Getting the popcorn ready. 😂
Wow!
I absolutely love this. It's inspiring me to build something BIG, I don't know what yet but something.
Oh my gosh. Imagine this as a wedding cake for a couple of LARPers!
Love the build. I'm glad you went large. It's inspired me to get back in there
Amazing Build I got great Ideas now and no 4'4" is not to big sometimes we should stand up at the table
She's beautiful. Always fun to see somebody decide to go all out and design a full-size building for minis
I'd probably go with one big ramp or 3. Granted, with eight sides 4 makes more sense, but maybe one of the ramps was destroyed on the past?
"just build things for no reason" THANK YOU
I love this project so much though.
Totally epic, and totally awesome! I love it!
Loving this series. Please continue it’s absolutely glorious.
This is badass! I’ve been following your channel for years and really enjoy what you do. I can’t wait to see this finished piece
