I didn't get into rugby league until 2017 and loved it when I found out that it existed through my sister's boyfriend at the time was a saints fan. I loved that it was in the summer and it was more working man than union. I also loved the grubber kicks and fancy tries. I watch it on sky now TV on my phone and tablet. It costs 30 pounds a month and I get to watch other sports too. Great pod lads
welcome back please dont leave it so long ! img have improved the overall experience otherwise clubs were not spending on infrastructure etc ,mick what has happened to your hair? but whatever as previously said and by other comments welcome back...
Comparing NRL and RFL isn't fair because the NRL doesn't do P&R. IMO, RFL's problem is player depth. The RFL could invest in a mid-season caltic cup 🇮🇪🏴🏴 with a yearly Baskerville Shield🏴🇳🇿 series. The winner of the Caltic Cup plays 🏴 knights during SL play-offs like a PM'S 🇦🇺🇵🇬 and origin to build depth for SL, championship & League one.
You can't compare two games a week to six games a week, clearly showing two top games instead of all will be higher average, the loop fixtures need to go
The clubs have had the power for 30 yrs and the game has been in decline. We need to trust the process of IMG that will take time. They’ve already raised the floor in my opinion. I don’t get the argument to scrap the cap when only half the teams spent it? Surely that will just drag the top further from the bottom. Yes only four teams have won it but pre salary cap for a long time it was dominated by one team with the most money. In general, more money on the pitch means better results. Wigan spending huge money on 3 players out of cap has been hard to compete with as it is. I’d introduce a scoring system in the IMG formula to be docked points for underutilisation of the cap to a certain point.
What happened to positive rugby league boys? Thought you might have discussed the fantastic internationals we’ve just had in both hemispheres, and the upcoming ashes next year. The international game certainly seems on the up but all you did was moan about league structures.
So IMG try and schmooze some rich Americans to get them to invest in RL to boost the sport. If they do due diligence they will uncover the disgusting way David Hughes was treated, having invested thirty million pound over twenty seven years without virtually and outside support. To have his team relegated before season 2024 even started. Not a good look and it will not encourage outside investment.
I would really like the guy with the hair to start providing figures (genuine rather than made up) and outline the detail of the promises made by the IMG contract... rather than the emotive buff and bluster

Amazing show! You boys keep my interest in the sport alive.

The clubs are ignoring IMG so it’s the clubs that are the issue.
But all the clubs not just the ones Mick dislikes

There cannot be relegation if loop fixtures are retained. How can teams be relegated when the fixture lists are not identical.
If this vote goes through it’s a joke. Just give something a go for a few years.

Super League + would work much better if the games were staggered and not all at the same time. Again something the clubs are standing in the way of.
