…Live in Paris was recorded in the middle of one of Coltrane's busiest summers. On June 28, 1965, he recorded the groundbreaking album "Ascension", followed by “New Thing at Newport” four days later. This was followed by a two-week double bill with Thelonious Monk's quartet at the Village Gate from July 6-18.[1]
Coltrane and his quartet then embarked on a one-week tour of Europe, playing at the sixth International Jazz Festival at Juan Les Pins in Antibes, France on July 26 and 27, followed by a concert at the Salle Pleyel in Paris on July 28, and winding up with a performance at a jazz festival in Comblain-la-Tour, Belgium on August 1.[2]

Yes, it's a nice live record, like Afro Blue Impressions by Pablo Live (the record company founded by the American producer Norman Granz who, in addition to Pablo Records, created -- among others -- also Verve Records); another double album that I uploaded in 2019 and of which only LP 1 remains as the other has been blocked for copyright. In my collection there are many Japanese prints, much appreciated by collectors for their quality; unfortunately I was not able to keep all the 帯. One of those that I have uploaded is for example the interesting "Jaco", from 1974, which sees a beautiful quartet ... Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, Bruce Ditmas and Paul Bley who is responsible, with his ex-wife Carla, for the composition of all the songs on the album.
Birra Italia "la birra a misura Duomo" which is a pun between a "human scale" "a misura d'uomo" and "a Duomo size" in the sense of the famous "Duomo di Milano" (Milan Cathedral). I liked beer a lot but unfortunately I had to reduce my alcohol consumption to practically zero because of the medications I have to take. Just a glass of wine during lunches and dinners with friends and relatives which happens very rarely to me.
