I found This video maybe 3 years ago and I always watch it for a smile and especially on Mother’s Day to put me in the mood. Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad are dynamic and elegant women that I’ve always been a fan of so you can imagine my shock hearing their rendition of this poem on Solanges new album! Music to my ears I had to come back and watch this video again. So Inspiring!

So Weird for me to get here. My Mom passed this summer and I've been crying and crying. Just today, I turned her pic to look at her. Moms are SO SPECIAL!! If you STILL have Yours Hug Her so Tight...Call Her...just Let her Hear How Much You Love Her! Rip Mommy!! You are Forever Loved and Missed! I hear the tears never stop...but maybe they will slow down.
Marie Ryder sorry to hear about your mom. I'm going through the same thing I lost my mom at 15 that was 19 years ago and I'm 34 now with a 14 year old. There was so much I had to learn on my own I still can't get over it no matter how long it's been you never forget I still cry myself. I just want to say God bless you and stay strong.

Oh my gosh this gas got me cryin ! I love my mamma big time and she is my friend too and I so admire her so much for her courage and grace ! My Mother raised 7 of us and some of us even went to college and successful but one and work and we were respectful and courteous kids and morals but with bumps along the way ! She did it all from raising kids to installing toilets n floors and artistic n beautiful voice and she when young loved to write poetry a bit along the way I'm sure with her dreams and hopes as we all do! and all while doing it she was so pretty and I mean pretty on outside and inside with class but strict and morals and fun along the way our Mother with loive and grace ! I dedicate this to u Mom Joee and all the Mothers out there !!!!! Thank u
