Thanks friend! Imovie is such a nightmare... I had 150 GB available on my computer when I started my project... all of the raw videos combined are only 20 GB so I figured I'd have plenty of space... guess not...
you forgot to change the location when uploading so when i did it it didnt work... kept seeing prompts/notcies about disk space so i cleared my imovie library thinking i really had no space, so thats great.... I figured that out on my own...
SefaDrums I think you’re better off just dragging the clips from your external drive into the other computer. I don’t think it’s possible to open a library you created in your computer into another computer. Or perhaps if you’ve started the editing process on one computer save it and upload/download as movie drag it to your external hard drive and then with the saved file open it into the other computer.

The iMovie app is on my laptop’s hard drive. I believe you can save the editing software on the external hard drive.
