Im watching and loving this show, and I hadn’t heard the song in so long, I danced with my mother at my wedding to “first day of my life” and it made me burst into tears lol thanks for the memories C-Dawg
Thanks for upload... but i believe it is supposed to be "Falling out of Love at this Volume" and not "Tilt a Whirl" in your set list. Its an ancient song! lol
You don’t care if he’s drunk or not? How can you not? If he recorded all his albums while drunk like this, I’m sure you wouldn’t listen. To enjoy this, is to turn an eyes from someone who obviously needs help. All shows on the “Down in the Weeds” tour are absolute dog shit. That’s being nice.
@@mrwednesdaythursdayneeding help or not, he’s been drunk at shows for his entire career. this is nothing new. and he’s been performing great. his voice is hoarse from touring and age, and he’s always had, in his own words, a “fucked up voice.” this is pretty much bright eyes as usual. it might not sound as good on a phone video, but when you’re actually there, it’s a very different story.
@damesoumbi I'm sure the show was a blast and I think it sounds good but Conor is a different kind of drunk these days... that old man alcoholic type and it is dishearting because I think he might be the greatest of all time the greats of old couldn't keep up with his creativity, range and absolute command on poetry. It goes from edgy and cool to sad as the years roll on. If he could get sober and climb that ladder to the other side he could finish the arch in his writing. I can't imagine the stories he could write on the other side.
This was a great show. A night I'll never forget...
For real the crew dude needs a raise dude earns his keep that for sure
This was a week after I saw him in Sonoma. Man he was faded but still they delivered. Great show, thanks for this recording.
I’ll never get used to Jon Theodore on the kit playing Oberst’s genre of music lol
He's a true musician. Just vibing.
He’s only a little drunk 😅 I’m impressed he still remembered almost all of the lyrics. True professional
Pretty insane set list with a couple old bangers. Could not believe he played ILL be your friend.
1:00:41 i did see them at when we were the killers and they were incredible !!
