Another wonderful small Ariz. town with a huge heart! Try the new rest. @ the Hotel Magma!! The rooms there are beautiful. Sort of 1890's San Francisco. Wonderful people in Superior. Scenery is awesome!!

+Marie Howato Well thank you very much! I do plan on returning to these towns. That is a good idea about talking to the residents and shop owners. Thank you for the idea. One of the Phoenix area car clubs just did a cruise out to Miami and Globe. I don't understand why they skipped Superior though. Going to these towns like this is a great reminder of the past and that there are still people here keeping the towns going.
@@kruz1975 U-Turn was one of the dumbest, most poorly presented movies EVER!!! I lived on High School Avenue and in 1962 watched part of the train robbery scene being filmed up behind my house. It was a segment of "How The West Was Won." They contracted with Magma Arizona Railroad to use their steam engines and train tracks around the mine and west of town. In "The Gauntlet", Superior was actually supposed to be Wickenburg. The scene where the he did the welding on the bus was in front of Sawaia's Grocery store down by Lobb and Main.
I live here. Almost 7 years. That old school is also in The Prophecy with Christopher Walken. Lots going on here and real estate $ here have skyrocketed.
