BABADAĞ TELEFERIK OLUDENIZ IN TURKEY!

- Babadağ Teleferik (cable car) Oludeniz in Turkey is officially open and can get you to the top of Babadağ mountain above Ölüdeniz which is 1969m at the summit, that's approx 6460ft.
With it's many take off slopes for paragliders, this mountain has become a mecca for flying!
It also has two lovely restaurants, one at 1700m open till 9pm and a new more stylish one at 1200m open till 10.30pm.

I am amazed how sophisticated Turkey has became. Unbelievable - when I compare it 60 yrs ago. I wish I were now 19 and moving to Turkey and not 60 yrs ago.

@@guzideerden6523 That's true. Nature and culture has deteriorated everywhere. One good thing back then was not so many people (hardly any tourist) and not so many cars. We lived in Adana. It was a Garden City neat the railway station. Beautiful villas in amazing gardens. Today on Google I can see all gone. You see only high rise buildings. Only 500,000 people lived there in 1961 and today I think it's almost 2 Miil. Greetings from Australia.

Yes definitely, is babdaq effected by the fires? This video brings back memories, was their exactly 12 years ago!! Where does the time go, I must go back but with my family and child!
@@Leonfr_2022 no babadag is not affected directly, but indirectly I believe they have banned the paragliders from jumping at the moment 🙋♀️
Was just paragliding from babadag the other day and saw the smoke in the distance towards marmaris. Hoping the people are keeping safe out there and you as well!

🙏Yes, it’s very sad, we stay awake at night watching all the news channels to catch up on what’s happening.
We were going to report on local fires near to us but we were advised against it. The news is flooded with terrible images of fires everywhere and not just in Turkey :(

Fantastic video!!! When we went paragliding in september 2012 there was not much there and the steep ride to the top was scarier than the jump. Good memories!

I was just there last week and was fortunate enough to go parasailing it was the first time I went to Fehtiye and all I can say is it is a beautiful city if it wasn’t so hot I would move from the north coast down there in a heartbeat

I visited this restaurant in 2019 some of the best views I’ve ever witnessed absolutely breathtaking I’ve always stayed in olu but next year we have decided to try Jiva beach in calis

Wow, thank you both for a great video. Just been visiting my mum in Staffordshire for few days and we have watched this video more than once! Next year, fingers crossed. Can I just ask though what the restaurant at 1200m is called? I have found the 1700m one online but struggling to find the other. It looks just gorgeous and will definitely be worth the trip from Calis on more than one occasion methinks. Keep the videos coming. We love them and I am living vicariously through them 😁👍

I (Trudie) put on our receipts for 1700 and 1200 to give an idea of prices to someone’s reply.
As you would expect, the prices are higher than normal at 1200 but there is a different menu at 1700 with cheaper options 🙋♀️
There are areas you can sit - you don’t have to eat at the restaurants :) 🙋♀️

Most of the paraglider still go up on the agency buses
i believe you should get paid by the Turkish tourism board. your vlogs are so professional you do a better job than the bbc with a much smaller budget
it wont happen until current government changes. and careful what you wish for. if they are paid by turkish governent that means you dont see alcohol and secular lifestyle anymore in their videos. only stupid mosques and dumb conservatives' boring life...

I think Trudie should get her romantic dinner at 1200 when you reach 75K subs !! Great video. I’ve seen footage of the restaurant at the top but not the lower- looks fantastic! I can’t believe the cable cars 🚠 aren’t air conditioned?? 🤷🏼♀️ no air circulation? Doesn’t seem right.

Weather often changes around mid October with some rain and a fleece or jacket at night, there isn’t a link to 1700 yet just a phone number as far as I know 🤠

That should be a great place to fly hang gliders.. we have a place here in Washington state called " Rampart ridge " which is almost about the same altitude starting from 5000 feet goes up to over 9000 feet in some areas and it's very scenery place to fly, specially the chimney Rock west and lemah mountain washington ..
They’ll take your Hanglider on the top of the minibuses you just book it with one of the agencies who do paragliding

@@mickandtrudie I am considering driving through the Bulgarian border down to Fetihye in 2023. So I would need an HGS card to use the toll roads. I read you are given 15 days to get one before severe fines are imposed.
