Nice video, getting ready to watch & read.. I have for a number of years effortlessly installed and maintained VPN systems on PFS 2.2 2.3 and 2.4.
Ever since 2.5 came out everything has been broken for me. I've been unable to make a VPN work out of the box. And up till now I have not been able to take the time to figure out why.
This video and what you have published might be a first start for me to get up & running with PFSense VPNs again.

Hi! Any comments on connecting to other windows devices once you are on the VPN? It seems you might need to disable the default windows firewall rules for each service that don't allow traffic from other subnets. I don't know if there is something more obvious that I'm missing to get around tediously adjusting each firewall rules on each device or dialing windows firewall completely.

This was of great help.. though I had a static public IP so I chose the option "other" and entered the IP address manually at "Client Connection Behavior". The firewall rule wasn't created automatically so I had to do that manually... but all is fine!

I have ran into a problem, when I try to connect to the vpn from a different network it won't connnect and I get an error.
The error's are:
"TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)"
"TLS handshake failed"

Doublecheck that both the server and client have their time settings correct.

Every time my openvpn doesn't work, i end up here :)
Have you checked your system logs, keysize is used inconsistently local 256 remote 128. I get connection but this warning. Connected to Iphone.
Port 1194 is block what should I do?
How do I log users that connect and disconnect?
I do not have a static IP, will i still be able to connect remotely with OpenVPN?
Yes, not a problem as long as you use the dynamic DNS hostname instead of the IP.

I followed your all steps configuration on my PFsense server all the step u have, It's perfectly connected my openvpn using my computer and android phone in the same wifi or internet connection, but the problem is My openvpn application cannot connect the server using my mobile phone when I could use another Internet Data connections from other place. could you please help me to fix this matter! thank you and godbless..... I have this issue..., In the log screen it appears this message " WARNING: Your certificate is not yet valid!"

PFSense 2.6.0 just came out
This is only how to setup OpenVPN server.
Stefan, you obviously did a good job with this video, BUT, the latest version of PFSense has changed from what your video shows. Additionally, your video skipped Step 7 of the CA setup procedure. After that, the options in the wizard no longer match what your video shows. It was impossible to use the video to properly setup openVPN on pfSense.
Hm, it seems like it still works for others. Also I haven't heard any complaints in my course, which uses the same version. What version of pfSense do you use?
I just went through it step-by-step on v.2.6 (and with a static IP), and it - just - worked...
