I was one of those girls. At 10 I asked My Mom if I could look like you as Carolyn. She said sure if you work hard at it. I was a tomboy. And a drummer So by College at 20 was I h
I can totally relate to the interview. You should be proud of your incredible work Nancy Barrett. At ten it compelled me to change my image. I was the tomboy skateboarding drummer. I always hated bullies. If someone would disrespect people I cared about I would deck them. 13 and my parents thought girl’s boarding school in Tampa was awesome.i hated it, but learned how to a charming manipulated. In college it actually taught me how to set up my daily schedule. Classes, 2 jobs, good grades, work ing out an hour and quit smoking. 20 then. At 13 got a TV to our dorm in boarding school. The nuns never caught on to DS. They didn’t like the Doors at all. Some girl was playing Midnight confessions by the grass roots and the nun broke the record up. Very hung up about SEX!!!! Dark Shadows didn’t bother them.well Thank you Nancy. I wanted to look like Carolyn so I changed it all by 20. Glad she had the wild side. We all did except the poor nuns. I was only there a year. Meanwhile by 15, in Sarasota, Florida Dark Shadows had Kate Jackson on, but Maggie leaving for good. We were all going to see HODS💀. Loved the movie and we got to see the original Allman Brothers Many Times cause they lived in the area. I think the band Black Sabbath with OZZY released their first 2 albums before the end of DS. The witch Lara Parker was scary, but too pretty to be a witch. Shoulda been Ms Blackburn or Diana Millay. I liked the Trask story. Mean guy, but Joan Bennett got the last laugh on Satan’s best buds. Thank y’all for letting me share. Between 5th n 10th grade was awesome growing up with this show and having parents that liked it too. Dad loved all the older scary shows. Thanks Kathryn Leigh Scott for writing me an autographed picture card after I bought several of your awesome books. Yes I was fighting kidney disease then. Around 1991. Lost my left kidney in 2016.Havent given up, but not doing well. Not that old either. Thank you all. Nancy was my hero. Love to Dave Henesy n Mitch Ryan and of course yeah baby BUZZ!
Ms. Barrett is an absolutely terrific interview. She looks great.
Miss Barrett..really gives her most honest thoughts about fame & adulation. I appreciate her point of view. And..I love that Voice of Her's! 👌
