    No, you don’t talk too much! I so appreciate your calm cool demeanor and especially you’re “not to worry” encouragement. I’m usually scared to start a project like this with so many moving parts. You’ve described the steps so well and talked about pitfalls that I feel encouraged to attempt a small project. Resin I’ve worked with a lot but the carving is another animal all together. Thanks for a great video.

    What I like to use to spread the epoxy out with, is an old expired credit card or gift card. You can even use your Dremel to cut thin notches, to evenly spread the epoxy, very similar to a trowel. Very nice work on this project!!!!!

    Shane if you use wet and dry paper like 2000 grit at the final sanding you will get a lovely shine hope this helps you

      I've gone from 120 grit to 2000 before on other projects, to much like hard work,so clear resin works for me,I wasnt to sure how the water and wood together,how it would go.😁👍

    I don't remember where I have seen this but someone used sand to measure how much resin they would need.
    Also why is this guy only having 1.7k subs?

      So basically fill the routed out area with sand to the max,then empty the sand into a cup,mark of the level,tip out and fill to the level with resin..thats the way I see it,I surpose salt could also work..cool idea.

    Hello I’ve finished my piece of art and have poured my clear resin over and dry patches have appeared when I know it was all fully covered .
    Just wondered if you knew what has caused this and how to rectify it .

      I've had this happen to me before, with me I simply hadn't put enough resin on,as resin cures it shrinks slightly so you get dry areas..or could be some oil or something on the wood,however if you had sanded it all first then I'm guessing it needs more resin you can lightly sand the top again and repour more resin over the whole piece..😁👍

    I forgot to seal the wood,

      Google the joker template, plenty to go at,sometimes I put stencil or silhouettes, depending what I'm looking for...

    Got to be my favourite, you make it look so easy! So you milling them to 3mm? been looking on eBay as you suggested for the CNC bits 15, 20 and 30 degree, which I have now ordered and the adapter. Just the milling bits, what do you recommend? There is a set for about £7.99 and has 1.1mm to 2mm milling bits, any good, are do they need to be wider?

      Cheers,I used amazing clear cast resin on this project I get it online from a company called house of resin ,you just mix the same amounts of A and B and that's it...houseofresin.co.uk/alumilite-amazing-clear-cast-epoxy-resin/

      I normally get the £20 to £30 bottles a little goes along way..for colouring I've used acrylic paints with no issues, ...Good luck

    Excellent work Sir. I've just come across your different projects, and I'm very interested in trying this. May I ask, How deep your initial router cuts are, and do you make 2 passes to get to the final depth, or do is your bit set to the final depth of the cut? (That question applies to your painted projects, and pouring in of epoxy as shown here,.....if different depths apply). Cheers for the help and Happy New Year.

      Sorry for the delay in answering Robert, each project can vary in regards to depth of the routed out sections, but 3mm,the same thickness as a dremel bit seems to be a nice average 👍

      @@ikerino59 I like to seal the wood first,with a spray varnish or you can get wood sealers that you brush on first,once dry you can apply the resin...

    Brilliant !!! I've just started doing a few small projects myself. I'm actually going to the hobby store and buying stencils but they're pretty expensive. I was wondering how you get your prints that big. I've used the printer for words because you can change the font size and used your method with the carbon paper but I'm struggling to get the images big enough to fill the whole of the paper. Is there a particular web site you use to down load the images. Thanks and I really enjoy your work !!!

      Thank you Darren for my larger projects I use an online site called rasterbator, you can go as big as you like .Once done I download it to my phone then send to my printer, it prints with margins or little marks so you can tape it all together, I do everything from my mobile phone..

It helps with the affect on some projects. I live in the U.S. now and can buy 8 ft long rustic fence pickets for $10 each. That's 8 x 1 ft signs. Love it ! Keep the tutorials coming !!

      Mine is an old black and decker dn66 they dont even make them anymore but you can still find them on Ebay , any palm router will do these projects..

      @@Toddypkc the dewalt 611 is popular, bosch are also good,but also expensive. I personally would start with a none branded palm router to see how you take to routing, I prefer something small to work with you can get plunge routers, but are a little to big for me..
