  • Today we do an in depth review of the Marttiini Arctic Circle knife including some light field work.
The Marttiini Arctic Circle is a small carbon steel fixed blade knife that is an excellent option for a lightweight EDC fixed blade! The blade comes screaming sharp with a Scandi edge, a lovely leather sheath, and it can be had for a great price if you are willing to buy from a European vendor! The birch handle is super comfortable in the hand, it has a lovely acute point at the tip, and works wood wonderfully.
On Lamnia, it can currently be had (depending on the exchange rate) for just over $25. For a Made In Finland knife with a nice carbon steel blade and a leather sheath, there's very little that you can get better at this price! We have no affiliation with Lamnia other than the fact that we have made numerous purchases from them in the past.

    Overall Length: 7.87"

can you show us your wax process for the leather sheath? (what wax do you use, how do you apply it, how often, etc.)

I can! It's nothing fancy though, just rub it in and melt it in with a hair dryer. I use a homemade mix of beeswax and mineral oil, which works quite well. I was planning on making a video of it the next time I have to replenish my batch. As to how often, usually one really good application is enough! Otherwise, just whenever the leather seems particularly dry

Doesnt mineral oil damage the leather?
I red somewhere that after sometime it will dry the leather🤔

We've got MANY Marttiini knives (we are of Finnish heritage, so that's something that we always look for), and you can expect a couple more reviews in the near future!

@@TheTulatokarev Sadly we don't have that specific model to review, but the carbon Lynx, as well as some of the vintage ones are pretty close, and we WILL be doing them!

Laura's so cute, why doesn't she make vids with you anymore? is she your little sister?

Lara is indeed my sister! She stopped doing the channel when she got a new job and moved about 6 hours away, otherwise we'd still have her do it with me!

CHECK THE WOOD JEWEL KNIFE COMPANY, AS WELL, FROM FINLAND. THE MARTIINI'S FOLDING KNIVES ARE EXCELLENT, TOO. THEIR BEST KNIFE IS THE MARTIINI TUNDRA, FULL TANG AND SS.
