- Welcome to the day 2 of my Nagaland series. Here I start trekking from Kisama towards Dzukou Valley. I interacted with fellow travelers, made so many new friends, walked a lot, climbed weirdly high steps, but when finally I reached the Dzukou - IT WAS MAGICAL.
Watch me give my honest opinion about local people at the end.

So glad you uploaded this video in youtube, and the drunk uncomfortable situation being mentioned is a serious issue. The concern authority should take it seriously, as you mentioned Dzukou being a tourist destintion. The caretaker or the management personals should be strict in maintaining peaceful and fun atmosphere. Also, sometimes campers are the one's getting drunk and spoiling the atmosphere for others. Infact most of these situations are created by the campers and not the people living in that area. You have every right to have a peaceful and joyful trip and you are right about you concerns. Have a great life ,enjoy it to the fullest. You did good👍 keep it up.

There are a lotta female solo travelers that visit dzükou every now and then and so far there haven't been any incident where a gurl has been harassed sexually or any kind of way... Im a local from Nagaland jakhama and dzükou is my second home . Some people visit dzükou just to party qnd have fyn ,but some people they come in search of peace . For eg honrbill festival if u notice then there were people that were drunk everywhere and if u can face that then it aint a problem facing some few drunkards that are having their own time and enjoying..
I was there when you guys visited dzükou valley 🙌..

Great Video Didi! I am planning to visit Dzukou Valley Next week. I have a question.
Would it be better to bring a sleeping bag or are the mattresses and blankets provided at the dzukou dormitory enough?
I have my own sleeping bag, so I don't want to rent.
But if the blankets and mattresses are enough then I don't want to carry any extra weight (sleeping bag) throughout the whole tour.
It's normal finding people getting drunk in remote tourist spots.. I once missed an early morning trek Visiting Nameri National park because our homestay had guys getting drunk and playing loud music whole night.. 💁🏻♂️
Sis can you tell us clearly what happen to you that make you uncomfortable and unsafe here in nagaland....??

Kindly capture evidence that is keeping you insecure about.. So that action can be taken and no such act happen again to anyone again.
Or please report to the concern authorities before leaving.
Its being first time such complain has come up. Its good that you have shared it but evidence is must to correct the wrong doing culprits around.
