Everybody talking bout how the horse is so smart and how all horses find their way back but we not gonna talk bout how satisfying it is when horses walk, like its asmr
Of course she knows her way back home. She's smart and have an excellent memory. Back in the 50s when I was a child I saw everyday our milkman's horse stop precisely in the same spots along several blocks and I found it fascinating. One day I asked the milkman how he had taught her and he told me that he didn't. And he said the only thing that I know about horses. He did his rounds exactly in the same way everyday and she memorized everything including the places where she could nip some delicious vegetation. He said that she could do his whole round from home and back and if she by any chance escaped in his day off, he would find her doing his usual round of work. 🐴🐴🐴
Trouble was when customers went on holiday the horses still insisted on stopping. My friends pony never forgot where the blacksmiths he didn't like was. It was knocked down and a house built on the spot but for years after he would pause and scowl, ears laid back, up the driveway.
horses like most of us like routine & consistency. I wonder what she felt like on her days off? Content having some rest, or she thought her owner is slacking around on the job & she needed to take matters into her own legs 😂

I had four horses. They are an amazing gift from God. I miss them, especially my beautiful Lady. She didn't need a halter or lead when we walked together. She never left my side. ❤
I once woke up in a forest, after a fall of my horse, not knowing who I was or where I lived. My horse was standing next to me. I got on and she brought me home. Severe concussion. I'm still grateful.

My grandfather back in the 1907 use to to the market to sell veggies fruit and meat to the town people. It was approximately 5 miles from the farm. After the market he stopped at the saloon and get drunk. And the horse team pulling the wagon would leave and head for home if grandfather was more than a hour. And grandfather stumbled all the home or was found the next morning along the trail. What a life.
I don’t own a horse but i take riding lessons, a few weeks ago i had went to go get the horse i take lessons with out from the pasture and I literally had to chase him smh (dw, i didn’t run, just walked over whenever he stopped, and I managed to get him after a few minutes)

My Spanish tutor who grew up in Colombia told me that her and her classmates used to go out and get trashed in the middle of nowhere & then hop on their horses who would take them back home.
Where I lived you could still get a dui for riding drunk but in the small town no one really cared as long as you weren't being violent. If you were being friendly someone might tell you to be safe and go about their merry way.

All horses know the way home, unless you've driven them somewhere. Many horses are "barn crazy" meaning they'll fight you to go back to the barn, or 'home', the ENTIRE ride. 😂 I used to have a horse, Duchess, and she would run full speed to the barn as soon as I told her to go home. It was scary the first time, I had no idea she could go that fast, but after that it was like a game. 😊❤ I sure miss that beautiful girl.
Yes we called that barn sour. That gets taught from running horse back to a barn. We picked a place at different spots that we would let them canter but never back to the barn. Anytime they tried to get out of hand they were stopped and asked to calmly walk. The young horses that we were just getting under saddle were the ones that need this lesson the most.
I had a horse that would fake limp ask she could go back home. Finally I figured out what she was doing and after I made her continue to walk she would stop lol!
@@faith777t that's what I've always heard it called/ called the behavior myself. Barn sour. Doing laps around an arena, and you'd always have the corner heading towards the barn, be the fastest gait, lol!
I've had the scare run home as well on our Belgians.. Lol better duck quick on the way into the barn or grab the overhead beam for a quick dismount lol.

I remember hearing a story of someone who'd ride their horse, but as they got older she couldn't... but the horse would walk the same path on her own, and the community knew her so give her treats and make sure shes safe etc. Tis good story
Omg it reminds me of the dog Hatchi where his owner who was a professor had a heart attack while he was at work. Sitting there through all the season and weather good or bad, he was there waiting for his best friend to come home. He died waiting for him. This makes me cry 😭😭😭😭
Reminds me of something I heard of once where someone stole a horse from the stables at a local fair, two days later, the horse was spotted walking down the road, headed back in the direction of the fair lol.
@Ellie Russell This horse is rotating her ears to listen to her surroundings and for commands shes used to hearing. The horse flattening her ears back to her neck would be her getting an attitude
Where I'm from, during our grandpa/great grandparents generations many people would drink a lot (not so different from today), and those that had horses would just get onto their horses and let them take em home. They'd fall asleep on the horse, wake up at home. Great animals
@@Vexityl they did take good care of their horses. There were no cars around back then, and if you needed to go to the next town to buy supplies or even go to the hospital (which would take you easily 1+ hour on foot, carrying a sick person on a hammock, or less if you carried them in your horse), there was no better way to do so than with a horse. And great thing was that you couldn't 'crash' your horse while being drunk :P
Use to ride horses at night to the bar with family and friends on the full moon. The bars in my small western town have hitching posts for horses, we tied them up had fun in the bar then we got on the horses and they took us home we didn't need to control them. What made it so much cooler was we had reflecter bands on their ankles so cars could see them and they knew how to stop and look both ways, because it was just routine. I miss those days 💖
there was an officer that attempted to ticket an intoxicated rider, she fought the ticket in court stating the horse knew the way home and she was just a passenger, the ticket was thrown out, and the judge stated that riding a horse was probably the most responsible course of action while intoxicated, been years since i seen the video going to have to look back at it
I actually still think it’s considered a DUI legally bc technically you’re in charge of the horse and a horse can do a lot of damage. I mean that’s not my opinion but I think that’s how the law sees it most states.
Horse's are very intelligent more so than people give them credit for, actually they are super sensitive to peoples feelings. They are just like a very huge Dog in many ways.....know how to love and communicate with them.
@@songbird6414 technically, the person who said glue was actually complimenting if you really think about it. Glue actually can be REALLY useful! Like if you dont have nails, you can use glue as a temporary fix! Glue can also help create many good things yknow?
@@hutao9373 okay, but… no? Suggesting that an animal would be better melted down into an inanimate object that can be made in other ways is in no way a compliment? As someone who rides horses, they’re remarkably intelligent and incredibly emotional(I’ve seen a horse be jealous, sad, excited, happy, confused, frustrated, you name it). It was just a rude comment.
She is a beautiful horse! That is adorable! Our horse has gotten out a few times and always tries to get to the nearest arena about 1/2 a mile away and always gets lost
An actual news article: "A deputy responded to complaints about Williams riding his horse from the bar when she found him. She explained she could not arrest Williams for a DWI offense because he was on a horse, so she ticketed him. "When you get a little too much to drink, why not ride a horse?" he told reporter Brett Buffington, "It's safer that way. The horse knows the way home."

@@sparkles5789 I’ve seen a video where many people thought the horse was either being hurt to remember since I guess people don’t think that horses can remember where they live and I’ve seen that many people think the horse gets hurt because of the weight of a person on their back which I’m pretty sure is not true Edit: if you weigh too much then you can actually hurt them but by the looks of it they are not over weight (disclaimer i am not a professional horse rider or anything like that but this is just some info I’ve learned from a few people)
I grew up on the back of a horse and i couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve personally seen and heard of people getting lost, deciding to give their horse the navigation, and having the horse lead them right to the trailer.
That's nice but horses should not walk on tiles and concrete without hoof boots they should wear it if your walking on tiles or concrete with the horse
See how she sped up? Horses love to be home and know the way instinctively. If you get in a situation where you'll fall off, just fall. The horse will run home. Theyre like GPSes, so if you're ever lost with one, loosen the reins. Let them lead. I did not expect this many likes- This also means that 1.4k people watch TH-cam shorts and scrolled through this video after me. Huh. Yea I see you all in the replies 👁
I did that once as a child when my neighbors let me ride their Pony in the woods. I got mixed around because I usually didn't go alone so I just let her go the rest of the way leading. Really lucky she got the hint 😅😅😅
This is why horses ate better than cars: -you get a friend to hang out with -you cannot really die by drunk driving unless the horse is drunk too -autopilot pre-installed -they are cute
You can die if you drunk 1. Falling off 2. Being dumb while on it 3. You could fall off the back and he could kick you (ya never know) 4. Could get stepped on if fall off there is just a lot of ways not saying you can die but there is a lot of ways for you to die while your drunk but yeah and your right you have a friend and they’re cute
I love how horses just happily wander or go back to somewhere they really like, like their pasture or stable when allowed to walk free rein.
Well duh, they get shelter and everything.
My best friend had her pony roaming free on their farm for quite a while - at least until someone reported them for it and they had to put her back in her pasture.

Thats the most gorgeous horse ever
Reminds me of something I heard of once where someone stole a horse from the stables at a local fair, two days later, the horse was spotted walking down the road, headed back in the direction of the fair lol.
"What car do you have?"
"I have a tesla with auto drive feature"
"Well I have a horse"
Nothing beats a horse 💖
“Who can automatically take me home✨”
A car is a lonesome vehicle but you can talk to your horse 😁🐴
You are rich!
As we speak, they're going to be fuel shortages in the upcoming weeks.
So yeah the old transportation will remain the best which is the horse 🐎
I like how she keeps turning her ears back still just to see if you've got something to say about all this 😂
i dont think its because of that tho
😅😅😅😅
@Ellie Russell lmao, not always
@Ellie Russell This horse is rotating her ears to listen to her surroundings and for commands shes used to hearing.
The horse flattening her ears back to her neck would be her getting an attitude
I didn’t nitice
She's so pretty 😍
She's beutiful ❤
Where I'm from, during our grandpa/great grandparents generations many people would drink a lot (not so different from today), and those that had horses would just get onto their horses and let them take em home. They'd fall asleep on the horse, wake up at home.
Great animals
Tbh I feel bad for them horses. And I don’t like drunk people....
@@Vexityl I'm sure they take a very good care of their horses
Dbbsnso
@@Vexityl they did take good care of their horses.
There were no cars around back then, and if you needed to go to the next town to buy supplies or even go to the hospital (which would take you easily 1+ hour on foot, carrying a sick person on a hammock, or less if you carried them in your horse), there was no better way to do so than with a horse.
And great thing was that you couldn't 'crash' your horse while being drunk :P
Into? 💀💀 I just imagine a horse being a car that we actually get into. Sorry
I miss those days 💖
there was an officer that attempted to ticket an intoxicated rider, she fought the ticket in court stating the horse knew the way home and she was just a passenger, the ticket was thrown out, and the judge stated that riding a horse was probably the most responsible course of action while intoxicated, been years since i seen the video going to have to look back at it
@@aviator2252 that's a brilliant defense. It was technically a self driving mode of transportation
Would yall take the tack off that night? Or leave them in a pasture with it on til morning?
I actually still think it’s considered a DUI legally bc technically you’re in charge of the horse and a horse can do a lot of damage. I mean that’s not my opinion but I think that’s how the law sees it most states.
@@aviator2252 How did the drunk person get on the horse?
This horse is saving multiple lives bc they arent using cars and cars can cause cancer. This is so amazi g and good for the environment.
Ur horse is so beautiful and clever and has a wonderful memory
At the end she just sat their like “yep, I got us home 😃”
She’s so cute I can’t take it
🦄🦄🦄
Horse's are very intelligent more so than people give them credit for, actually they are super sensitive to peoples feelings. They are just like a very huge Dog in many ways.....know how to love and communicate with them.
They’re more useful as glue.
@@nucleak2884 gtfoh. Horses are great.
Horses are empaths and it's really cool too.
She is so cute and beautiful
such a beautiful horse 🐴
She is a beautiful horse! That is adorable! Our horse has gotten out a few times and always tries to get to the nearest arena about 1/2 a mile away and always gets lost

Agreed
It's also dangerous for the horse
@@rjrunyon1453 Yes it can bd dangerouse i you have them in short reins. But most can eat it without problems with long reins :)
Well, it is a horse. There is a reason many people call them Hay Burners.
They never get full it’s annoying 🤦♂️
An actual news article:
"A deputy responded to complaints about Williams riding his horse from the bar when she found him. She explained she could not arrest Williams for a DWI offense because he was on a horse, so she ticketed him.
"When you get a little too much to drink, why not ride a horse?" he told reporter Brett Buffington, "It's safer that way. The horse knows the way home."
The ultimate DD 😂
what’s he gonna do? put a boot on the horse?
I am not sure most drunk people can get on a horse without cracking their head open

@@sparkles5789 I’ve seen a video where many people thought the horse was either being hurt to remember since I guess people don’t think that horses can remember where they live and I’ve seen that many people think the horse gets hurt because of the weight of a person on their back which I’m pretty sure is not true
Edit: if you weigh too much then you can actually hurt them but by the looks of it they are not over weight (disclaimer i am not a professional horse rider or anything like that but this is just some info I’ve learned from a few people)
Imagine being that cool that you can just ride a horse home without even guiding it

I love the sound of horse walking it’s jsut so relaxing to hear❤
Shes so gorgeous
I grew up on the back of a horse and i couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve personally seen and heard of people getting lost, deciding to give their horse the navigation, and having the horse lead them right to the trailer.
That's nice but horses should not walk on tiles and concrete without hoof boots they should wear it if your walking on tiles or concrete with the horse
@@llama2063 it’s fine for a little as long as you don’t canter.

See how she sped up? Horses love to be home and know the way instinctively. If you get in a situation where you'll fall off, just fall. The horse will run home.
Theyre like GPSes, so if you're ever lost with one, loosen the reins. Let them lead.

This also means that 1.4k people watch TH-cam shorts and scrolled through this video after me. Huh. Yea I see you all in the replies 👁

Gotta love the trust he has in this horse to just let her calmly plod along all the way home.
She is very beautiful you’re welcome. I love you and your horse. I hope you blessed. Love you.❤😊
This is why horses ate better than cars:
-you get a friend to hang out with
-you cannot really die by drunk driving unless the horse is drunk too
-autopilot pre-installed
-they are cute
Don't mind me just gonna google if horses can actually get drunk
@@realcrazysnake a lot of races are given beer to help with digestion I think
You can die if you drunk 1. Falling off 2. Being dumb while on it 3. You could fall off the back and he could kick you (ya never know) 4.
