What a spiritual gift to wake up to this morning! Two true "elders" pouring out healing oil upon my head. I thank you both and praise God for our "gifts in men". I pray for God's continued blessing upon you both, and "slàinte mhath" (good health) to you and June.

I truly appreciate listening to your comments at meetings brother Mike. And like many with your experiences, you are coming from a place of knowing the hardship of false teaching and the cruelty brought about from men proclaiming to know God, and yet prove themselves false to His power. Thinking about my thinking has for many years captivated my attention. It goes with mindfullness, and being in the moment. I can actually feel your words as soothing to my soul. Thats what truthful words do. Even if they have to hurt sometimes, the truth always sets you free.
Taking my time to be in the moment, not rushing into my next moment, think about what I am thinking. Is it truthful, upbuilding, necessary, kind, fruitful? Well, here's one thought I think of quite often when I go to my meetings. And that is of the kindness in your eyes. Ever notice that? How the experienced, loving persons in the group all have very kind eyes. I see this all the time. And I think on that. I think about how a person cannot hide the passion, quietness, peacefulness, truth, loving-kindness of their eyes.
    Just a thought! 😊
Thank you all for the wisdom and constant reassurance of your love that Jesus said would be apparent in the children of God. 💕

I love this! Indeed many of us are right there at the crossroads completely stopped afraid to give the first step which leads into the right path. Afraid to be deceived again!

I really liked the conversational style in this video. It was truly a deep spiritual sermon, but with close friends, which is how we view both of you men. PS: Mamajan, My wife, had 2 aunts who were Irish Catholic nuns. Her JW grandmother tried out but was too mean to be a Nun! She used to hit my wife in the head with her Bible!

Oh how sad. I also saw a docuvideo about a foster jw mother who beat her foster son. I gaged. I did foster care for sick children for 10 years and it just broke my heart that a jw was that evil.

Brothers thank you both for your metacognition, when we reach that point of cognitive dissonance as Brother Mike so eloquently bought out from Jude .. 'make sure our most holy faith'... which we can only obtain from Christ Jesus by means of Holy Spirit.

Thank you Mike for saying the same i have said: csa dishonors Jehovah the moment it happens, not when it is reported. Omg i just heard of what your poor wife went through. I totally understsnd the mindset, she wants so badly to please God. I actually had csa done but as a child not in the religion. I am not a born in. I had several studies befor i came in in 1979, basically i was hopefull that all that was going on was the resque i and my children needed after living in abuse. I did not wake up till shortly after the pandemic. It was a broadcast that started it. Then i found the ARC. Now im thankful my two children never were babtized (always glad of that, because no problem with association with them) i do wish they had a belief in God, but they are good children, and good citizens. I hope God takes that into consideration. Thank you for all you do. I still have very bad days, trying hard. Grateful for your videos.

@joanjohnson5973 Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and concerns. Our heavenly father is greater than our hearts (1John3:18-21)and he will answer our prayers in ways that will amaze us (Psalm37:3,4). June has CPTSD as a result of decades of abuse and is only beginning to recover with specialist help. I can tell that you are a very genuine person and love your family. Our heavenly father loves you too and wants you to become part of his family again. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings.

There was a cruel nun who used her metal edged ruler to teach me the times table. My decision was the same as yours, at least she wouldn’t be in hell with me. I went home from school one day and refused to go back. Out of ten children I was the only one who went to public school. The nuns confused being humble with being humiliated. They thought they were doing us a favor.
