Hello Gracie Great song !! Reminds me of my youth. I'm originally from Northern Ontario in Canada. I'm bilingual. I went to french school until grade 8. This was one of the songs everyone learnt at some point in time. Smile on my face. :)) Thanks !!
Nice one! I might try it with my students. As I'm tuned in high G I can highlight the G in the final notes (CGC) with an upstroke instead of a down. Emulating the bells rocking back and forth 😄
Hi Gracie, Our travel Uke had its first trip. A cruise on the West Australian coast. Its next voyage is a cruise around the world beginning in June. Cheers Bruce F.
Love your videos. If someone was interested in learning to play ukulele do you have recommendations on what ukulele to purchase? And a book to get started learning? Thanks 😀
It really depends on what your budget is... nicer ukuleles are more expensive. If you tell me your budget I can tell you what a good ukulele would be for that price though. Regarding books... I don't have a favorite beginner's book. I'd recommend just getting a simple songbook maybe to start playing some songs and strumming some chords. I like the book "Easy Songs For Ukulele" by Lil' Rev.
Hello to you. As a adult beginner on the guitar you really have helped me, so thank you! I’m about to start learning about modes. Can you do a lesson on that? 😊
Hi Gracie. Thanks again for all you do for the world of music education! You truly are a gift to musicians. On a seperate note (pardon the pun) I have been noticing a trend that I was wondering if you had also noticed. There seems to be a new genre emerging that involves the use of primarily both ukulele and glockenspiel in advertisements and stock background music that vloggers often put in their in their videos. This new genre is annoyingly happy sounding and usually seems to repeat the same 2 boring chords over and over again and to me its kind of like the new elevator music... but much, MUCH worse. Anyway, this is nothing against ukelele in general, as I really enjoy your ukulele playing and think this new genre just reflects badly on great ukulele players like yourself. If you watch any content online this new jingle genre is impossible to miss but I don't have a name for it, just been noticing it everywhere as it is inescapable and forces me to mute the volume so I don't have to be exposed to it. You know what I'm talking about right?

Thanks! This would be helpful for playing it the "normal way" (having up to 4 play, staggered by 2 bars each).
Great video. I'm a big fan of Rameau and didn't realize he wrote the song. Keep up the great videos, you're the best!
Thanks, you too!
I just can't get over that hair. It's like being born with a magic ward that'll get anything you want

Titled "Broder Jakob" (Brother Jacob) in Sweden. A well known children's lullaby 😀🇸🇪😁
a french 🇫🇷 canon composed by Rameau in the 18th century
in German 🇩🇪 : Bruder Jakob or Meister Jakob
The Young, Dumb, Stupid song LOL
