This one gets great coverage for sure. The slightly larger size gives it better performance and allows for the use of larger nozzles compared to the other 3/4" NPT models.
This summer I am gonna get a p85 Nelson head and some others I been wanting for awhile. Maybe a 707 or 808 turf bird. I need to go the pump route for those though. Don’t have enough on my house supply unless I go super small on the nozzles
@@photocontrol Online most likely, Doubt anyone around here carries irrigation equipment specifically for golf/turf use, I think a lot around here is for residential, i'd have to ask. However I have a bunch of impacts that i can just switch nozzles around on.
Hey man long time no talk. I posted some videos of some new additions I got today from habitat for humanity. 1$ each too. Great price. I have a Nelson f30 that kinda reminds me of this except just 1 nozzle
Nice. Isn’t this the pivot version of the rb 40 basically ? Also I am thinking of getting a rb 70 ( old style ) to complete my collection I have a 70b and a 70ew now I just need a 70CW and the regular 70
Thanks! Yes pretty much a pivot version of the RB 40, this one has a larger body for a wider range of nozzles and the longer nozzle barrel helps increase throw distance. That would be a great addition if you get the RB 70. I got one of the old style RB 70's last fall.
Your 14070 reminds me of my Weathertec 10-30D. Kinda looks the same too. Would this be like a cousin to the RB 30 or 40 ? I believe this was also one that RB made for pivots or large fields?
This would be more of a cousin to the RB 40, the spoon arm is a little longer and body has more flow through than the RB 30. Yes these would be suitable for pivots and large fields.
I am thinking of asking my neighbor if i could combine their water sources with mine. Tying both their hoses with mine and taking the output and running say my RB 47 just to see if it would be able to trip back and stuff, since with just 8GPM it never tries to go back. (probably not kicking the arm back far enough)
@@thesprinklerguy4875 Yes things have improved for me. I have a new video camera, the older camera seemed to have deteriorated. Thank you, I appreciate that!
Great coverage of this full circle impact sprinkler.

@@photocontrol Good to know, Thanks for the info.
Interesting dual action, that will cover a large area in little time. Nice share.👍
Yes this 3/4" model can run with a higher water volume than the others in it's size class to cover a larger area. Thank you!
The pressure you have there going thru that head reminds me of these 2 videos I made just today of that old pivot with 70CWs
Yes looks similar when in operation!
wow crazy amounts of water flying and for a good distance like a rain storm there thumbs up and shared
Yes it can water a good sized area for sure! Thanks Drew!!

Thank you!!
Great sprinkler works really well
Thank you!!
Excellent video!
Thank you!!
very nice sprinkler. thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!
Sweet. Ian murr has one of these. Reminds me of a commercial version. Of a rb 40
Yes that's true! Similar to a RB 40, a little larger.
Nice and fast.
Yes these are very good sprinklers! Thank you for watching!
Going to test my buckner rotor soon. Hopefully I can find a smaller range nozzle for it
Are there any local irrigation supply places in your area to find a smaller range nozzle? Or online?
@@photocontrol Online most likely, Doubt anyone around here carries irrigation equipment specifically for golf/turf use, I think a lot around here is for residential, i'd have to ask. However I have a bunch of impacts that i can just switch nozzles around on.
It's possible a local irrigation supply could order nozzles, otherwise online stores should be a good source.
Made a video of my Buckner rotor. Put a 7/32 nozzle in the range port but even with my 2 sources it wouldnt run unless I plugged it somewhat.

Hey, yes it's been awhile! That's great you got some good deals at Habitat! I'll check them out!!

Ian has one of these he put out in a video. This one and 2 others. Kinda like a 404 turf bird but no adjustable spreader.
True, kinda resembles a 404 Turf Bird!

Has some great coverage too
Yes it does! It can accept larger nozzles for greater distances.

That would be worth a try, if you can double the volume, the RB 47 may get enough flow to trip back.

Love the video, but the video quality is so bad... is this a 1980 vhs camcorder or something?
Thanks! Sorry about that.. things are kinda rough right now, but hope I can afford some better video equipment in the future..
