Hi, Mohamad. What is the difference between automated guide vehicle and autonomous mobile vehicle? By the way, nice material.

Hi, John. The main difference between automatic and autonomous guided vehicles is the use of artificial intelligence. Similar example is like cars with automatic gears and human driven by comparison to autonomous driverless cars.
In the future, I think AGVs in hospitals or other facilities should have an organizational structure similar to human institutions (i.e. departments with heads, general manger and so on). Thus, separating AGVs into groups with different monitoring and control authority is essential to have a safe secure environment with incidents free (e.g. AGV hardware failure, cyber attack...).

Hi, can you please tell me that how AGV use elevators like how they know that which floor is come and how they use buttons there and also if i need to place the charging station then what is the most prominent space to do so.

Hi. Thanks for asking. The AGVs control system interacts and communicates automatically with the building management system (BMS) of the hospital, which controls the elevators.

Hi Engr. Mohamad Abou Ali good day. I am pleased to introduce myself, Mr. Sam Flores of the Philippines. I saw your TH-cam Channel about the Hospital you have engaged with at Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. Im planning to do a Feasibility Proposal and do the same thing here in Philippines. I hope we can start a pleasant business aquaintance. Thank you.

Hi, may you have a nice. Firstly, I would like to thank you for your interest to share me in such project. However, I wasn't among the hospital planning and designing team of new Royal Adelaide Hospital (nRAH). I presented the nRAH only as a case study for the students, since the nRAH has been built based on the AusHFG guidelines. Similarly, I presented other hospitals as case studies to introduce other guidelines such as the British HBN/HTM and the Canadian Z8000. Again, thanks for your interest and question.

@@mohamadabouali9922 Hi Mohamad thank you for your reply. Well appreciated. May I ask of you can provide me a conceptual design, case study for my proposed project hospital here in the Philippines? I'll send you the overview of my plans if it is possible to you. I would be very glad if you could help me. My email address is softmeg2000@gmail.com. Thank you.

Are AGVs the only form of robots existed in hospitals? Thanks.

There are many types of robots currently used in the hospital. This includes the use of surgical robots in the operating theaters. The use of full automation in the laboratory, the pharmacy, chemotherapy...etc.

Robots have replaced humans in many industries. Unfortunately, it's now in service in hospitals too.

You're right. This trend is aimed to minimize the expenses in the hospital operating budget translated into more profit. Not only robots, but also the use of artificial intelligence is aimed to make more profits. For example, AIRad software, developed by the Siemens Healthcare, is a step towards the use of artificial intelligence to replace diagnosis by radiologists. Also, smart intelligent medical devices mean less dependence and less tasks for the healthcare staff.

    It's robotic revolution.

Yes, that's right. I'm a believer in commonwealth and not capitalism. Robotic revolution will increase the percentage of unemployment of workforce as well as poverty. The solution is creating university major with only genius candidates aiming to create new fields or majors in demand. There are currently many new majors needed without qualified personnel. By this way, we turn the robotic revolution into a bless for humanity.
