    Wow, this has changed greatly from the original video. Does any of the new settings move over to the original spring kit with the different rear spring perches? Plus the spring dividers are installed upside down, please advise. Thanks!

    I couldn't get my OEM crossovers off! Can i leave them under the new crossovers?

      You will leave them over or above our cross overs and they will work. 👍🏼

    Is anything different for the Live Valve ES model? Does the divider get flipped as well?

  • @franknaaf4876
    @franknaaf4876 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This says to install the dividers upside down from how the factory installs them. What is the reason for that. I am sure there is one, i just want to know.

      In order to run the proper spring lengths for the dual rate system the divider is a little low on the shock body. The factory body is not threaded down all the way so you can’t adjust the cross over rings low enough to work. Flipping the divider contacts the cross overs higher where they are adjustable. Supper common practice in racing. 👍🏼

    What about with 35 inch tires. Should the ride height be set at 15 or 17?

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every inch taller than a stock tire should add 1/2” to your ride height 👍

    Just tighten the shock mounting bolts with no regard to the torque specifications for the shock mounting bolts given by the manufacture of the machine. Just wondering if that is how bolts are tightened on Justin's race car.

      @@wesleydonovan3097 Here are the starting points for preload and crossover for the ES model.
      Front preload 4 1/2", front crossover 7 1/2". Rear preload 4 3/4", rear crossover 9 1/2".
      Factory crossovers can be pretty noisy when the spring divider engages. Upgrading to our silent crossovers will take care of that.

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4 things
      One better jump selection
      Two more front compression
      Three less rear compression
      Four more throttle off the jump
      Hope that helps 👍

      @@ShockTherapyllc thanks for the reply. From the advice you've given I should soften the dampers in the front and stiffen the dampers in the rear? I'm already full throttle right before the ramp up over the jump, and I definitely notice the jump selection makes a huge difference. Any recommendations on the exact number of "clicks" on the dampers?
      PS. I watch all of your videos, and I appreciate the attention to detail in what you guys do. Thanks again

    Glad you remade the video. The numbers are different than those I got in the e-mail, this explains some issues I'm having. But why can't I have my shocks valved at Glamis, I was told I had to have both the DRS and the RIS done at the same time, BUT you already sold me the spring kit.

    None of us have the special spring compressor tool like you do. Why don’t you do the video how your customers would actually have to install the springs. Disappointed with this oversight on your part.
