2NE1!!! The reason to love them is that they have their own style in music (and fashion), they have the i-dont-care-girl-swag attitude, so they're just awesome. SNSD is... boring. Nothing special about them, they're just like any other girl groups out there.
I don't think the video was as political as to say "Hey, let's stop using the internet". I mean, it goes deeper than that. It's about choosing an imperfect truth/reality over a perfect and comfortable lie. I thought that was obvious. I didn't think it was anti-technology at all. It was perhaps making a commentary on addiction to pleasure itself, to a hedonistic lifestyle that isolates you from reality and that makes you lose your humanity, your sensibility, your ability to deal with and perceive reality.
Totally love the way you guys analyzed this, and the analogy Simon used with the virtual paradise being S. Korea to foreigners was spot on. Really liked the way this issue was addressed. & great video as always! :)
Girls' Generation all the fucking way. Even as a hardcore and biased Sone, I did like 2NE1's Come Back Home as well and I admit the MV was a lot better than Mr.Mr's. But I think the main difference between both groups is their companies because both groups have talent and specific abilities. I can't help but think how it would be if SNSD was under YG Entertainment as well, they would be soooo much better.

I saw the whole "virtual world vs real world" concept as a commentary on how we spend all our time longing for a perfect utopian lifestyle, instead of concentrating on the here and now. People would rather choose this "virtual paradise" life rather than work on the real life right in front of them. I also personally love the whole, many songs in one thing that KPOP has going recently. I will admit that the end of that bridge was a bit sudden, but I thought it fit perfectly with the song. The ones that are just there to make money, they don't care about the music and do whatever their company says. The ones who just care about appearance. CL personally composed her own music, which means a lot cuz I LOVE it when artists write/compose their own stuff~ They always surprise people because every comeback is a SURPRISE and has wow factor. They innovate music by blending different, seemingly-incompatible genres into something very original. They have amazing stage presence and teaches girls to have confidence and that you definitely don't need to act cute/slutty to live life. I don't care for kpop at all, but I care a lot about 2NE1. They have an international charm, and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE 2NE1's comeback 2014. :D

They have amazing stage presence and teaches girls to have confidence and that you definitely don't need to act cute/slutty to live life.
I don't care for kpop at all, but I care a lot about 2NE1. They have an international charm, and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE 2NE1's comeback 2014. :D
