Great question! 🙌 Goals in ClickUp are high-level objectives that consist of smaller, measurable targets. There are 4 different target types that can be added to your goals: numbers, true/false, currency, and tasks. If you would like to use the Goals features to create and measure a corresponding goal for each of your OKRs, we recommend using tasks as targets! You can choose individual tasks that you would like to attach to a target, or you can select an entire List and all tasks included in that List will be attached to the goal target. ✨
@@ClickUpProductivity Yeah this doesent really explain anything. What the problem is most people think goals are okr's and most videos including zenpilot video uses goals for OKR's. What it looks like though is that the goal section is not as feature rich as using a list, so you pick your poison, use goals for OKR's and get a limited but much prettier system or use a folder and list area like this guide and get much more functionality.
Sorry for any confusion, friend! Essentially, the OKR framework is a business management tool used for planning goals and the actions that will work toward them. In this video, OKR management is set up using ClickUp tasks and Lists, while utilizing some other features helpful such as Docs and various task views as well! When Elliot refers to goals in this video, he is referring to the general concept of a goal as a measurable result of your company's efforts. However, Goals are also a feature in ClickUp and many users utilize the Goals feature to track their OKRs rather than Lists and tasks.
