And I beseech you for your time today, to convince you why she should become neither of those things!

As my first gold Assassin and for a while, Stheno greatly help my earlier days of playing FGO together with some low rarity assassins. Then used the Gorgon sisters when against some male servants up until the DW made male servants with high resistances.
Indeed, an excellent anti-boss unit deep into LB3! She really is underrated - I think it's because she's a combination of two fairly low-key niches (vis-a-vis the popularity of "BUSTER!" or Arts-Crit approaches). Even now, she is highly useful for her multiple forms of support *and* even still against the many bosses that lack such mental debuff resistance
some may say her story is a SPOOKy one.

I've seen many videos of underrated servants in fgo. One servant that is literally forgotten is ANGRA MAINYU. I think he deserves some love once and a while. Just saying. Great video by the way.

Harsh! haha - but no I'd say she has a lot of value in anti-male/divine settings! Though I can definitely understand why many people thing he is, um, not so good haha
Personally I think stheno has her uses in "very specific situation" but overall I think she's okay
She's great in any anti-male situation or as a Divine Support! Admittedly, if neither are present she isn't necessary the most practical option

Oh no! I'm actually the same here - I (admittedly surprisingly!) chose her for my SR Ticket last year!
Yeah coz now u can't get her now as easy as before😒😒😒,man even in Story Banner she can't shows-up but instead Euryale was always shows-up😒😒😒
I remember trying to get her for 2 years straight, I've gotten so many 5 and 4 stars. Hoping to get spooked. I still remember my friends telling me, "don't roll, your wasting your quartz"... 5*, 4*, 5*... never getting spooked. I was so happy when she came to my Chaldea.
I'm still chasing after her, to get her to NP5.

Stheno spooked while I was pulling for Kama when Ooku released. You can imagine my disappointment when she appeared. Well at least she can serve as Divine support and Anti-Male.

It's always good to have another Elizabeth-esque servant in the roster. On her, I've heard people say that she (and to an extent, Blackbeard) are "gimmicky" since their skills primarily affect females, to which I say "So what?" Half of the roster is female. It's not hard at all to make a tangible team comp, and a 40% damage value for 3 turns with a 5 turn cooldown is not something to simply brush off.
Leading to Stheno, it's a bit more niche since some units are surprisingly divine and others are not (it comes down to you looking it up). Still, the point stands; 40% damage buff can absolutely decimate enemies, and with Stheno's anti-male build, it can lead to some interesting situations. While her cases are a bit more rare than the competitors, in the times that she CAN be used effectively, she's practically unmatched in her set.
Not gimmicky at all! It’s exactly those niche Servants - whether anti-male, female-supporting, anti-female, or divine supporting - that makes the game fun and interesting! It’s an intrinsic part of FGO! And it allows certain Servants - like Stheno - who may otherwise be underpowered, to flourish in such settings!
I am evermore gratefull to have found this channel, the background music, the way Dunes speak about the various arguments feels just rigth, and most importantly...all videos are SPOILER FREE for story related contenent.
This definitely my favourite channel when it comes to fgo material, you simply deserve more attention from the comunity

@@Ravi9A Haha I got all defensive units at first too! d'Eon was my starter and my go to offence for a while, along with Nitocris (Summer) - neither are particularly heavy hitters!
Ive seem her fight with euryale and medusa against beryl. Poor guy could not even have his turn.

I like this Documentary of stheno being a worst servant to very usable now, now people will stop dunking on her more or less.

Haha congrats! And they're honestly so fun to use together! I did so quite a bit during LB3 (when Stheno wasn't just soloing them herself)
Honestly since Camelot i've realized the potential of charm-lock teams, and developed a strong liking to the gorgon sisters. Grailed Euryale to 80 and plan to max skill all 3 sisters. At this point i'm truly happy Stheno was my starter servant.
She really is underrated! As you say, in charm lock teams especially she can be absolutely *lethal*

RN there's one Class which arguably has no bad Servant in it.... That being said, *ARJUNA IS AT THE LOWEST END OF THE ARCHER TOTEM POLE!*

Problem with arjuna is his deck. If he had a BBAAQ deck, he would have been a much better unit
Arjuna's situation really hurts me. I grew up hearing the stories of Mahabarata and he is one of my favourite from the epic
Haha literally used her until babylonia until i realised she can't kill enemies with no gender, then i used a cleopetra support. That's when i finally read her np description XD

All i get are boudicas and trust me even tho she's thick I don't see the appeal
The only times I'm happy are when I see a Medusa or 2 other than that it's silver hell i never get gold servants from single pulls

I can see her being really useful on the right situations, but most of the time I probably would still prefer to just throw Euryale at the problem (not like I have much choice, considering I don't have Stheno).

Wow, that is rare! I have never summoned Stheno (got her via ticket) but Siegfried is a repeat visitor to my Chaldea!
I more prefer if her NP is self buff than a non damaging NP that effect enemy's. Like super Orion.
Or buff a skill that effect the gorgon sister's only.
Like Jason skill with argonauts.
I do wish, admittedly, that the bonus Divine attack on Whim of the Goddess wasn't an attack buff, but rather a special form of attack bonus so it could stack multiplicatively instead

I'll be honest, Stheno is still not worth running imo. Siren Song has way too long of a cooldown for such a simple effect, Whim of the Goddess is an honestly good skill I'll admit but it is her only ally-buffing skill, making the support aspect relatively mediocre. Vampirism is decent but the crucial charge drain can miss one in five times, not counting enemy magic resistance passives and debuff resistance buffs. Finally, her NP isn't that bad on its own but it is terribly mismatched with her deck. Quick or even Arts would have been much better than that.
She needs, in my opinion, a buff to her Vampirism to make the NP gain party-wide and/or a buff to her Siren Song to reduce the cooldown by a turn and give it some team utility. Her deck is mostly quick cards so why not a critical damage buff?
Or, if we want to get really crazy we could give Vampirism the effect of changing her NP's color, just like EMIYA. This would let her NP be used either for Quick chains, granting even more critical stars, or make it Arts so that her NP gain that turn is increased, this bringing her closer to her *next* Noble Phantasm activation even faster
I actually find the combination of Whim + Smile of the Stheno (charm-locking, etc.) actually makes her an excellent support - as she works on *both* ends (both buffing allies *and* debuffing enemies). Admittedly each on their own is weaker, albeit in the right situation still very useful - but when combined, can allow for solid two-way support that can simultaneously strengthen allies, debuff enemies, and control the flow of the fight.
Though I *definitely* agree an upgrade is warranted for her skills - especially Siren Song (very rare for a skill to have but a single effect - even PHANTOM had it upgraded!). A critical damage buff would be useful in solos or if partywide most certainly!
