Emus eat the parts of plants that have the most concentrated nutrients: seeds, fruits, flowers and young shoots. They also eat insects and small vertebrates when they are easily available. They will not eat dry grasses or mature leaves.
Judging by how the legs moved, the emu didn't even tried to hurt you at all, just tried to recover the equilibrium because you moved em, the emu didn't had any intent to hurt anyone so that was an entirety accidental hit and it still was right about like half an inch from getting you a bit of a big problem, now imagine a fully grown up one actually tryna hurt a predator that attacked it, that predator not making it out of there at all, a coyote would not even know what happened
we had emus. One died and other shortly of loneliness.... creatures like that I recommend 3 so even if one dies you still have the 2 for companionship. But really 2 is good just 3 a good backup plan, because who know?! Love the videos tho! Helpful educationally and entertainingly!
