    First, this was what I needed today. 2nd, I was smiling the whole time that the dogs were playing. 😊 🎨

    Love the caput one, the black green (reminds me of perlyene green), and the warm grey. Thanks for sharing.

    Hullo Miranda, I have been enjoying watching your videos on my home page for a while now, I just looked down and saw that I was not subscribed? I don’t believe that I un-subscribed, well I re-subscribed and I am hopeful that it sticks! You are an enchanting artist and I am look forward to seeing more of your art. I think having a pallet set up for optimal use is very important, I have a quirk of putting my yellows in my top left, but everyone has their own way of working. Please stay safe, keep creating and enjoy your afternoon!

      The same for me, I just saw that I was not subscribed, really strange 🤔

      Oh no, I'm glad you both noticed! I'll try and mention it in my next video. Thanks for letting me know!

    Well I'm late to this video but it was fun to watch!! Thankfully I don't have your problem of figuring out what order to put all them pans in as my only paint set up if half that size lol, so much easier :) I love ALL the muted colours in this palette, they are delicious!! :D

      It is both nice and a bit overwhelming to have this many colors, but I'm very happy with it. It will be fun to see which colors get used the most as more time goes on.

    That is a satisfyingly full palette of colours! I love the sand dunes painting, and I can commiserate with the difficulty of rearranging the colours into a “perfect” order. ❤

    • @MirandaWatsonArt
      @MirandaWatsonArt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think I'm back to only changing two of them instead of the entire palette, lol. Thanks, Becky!

    Your pups are so quiet compared to mine, lol, and mine are poms! When they play it sounds like a family of Tasmanian Devils got loose in the house and are tearing the house apart. Also, you know what you should have done, just taken the warm grey and moved it all the way to the left and just shifted everything on the bottom row over one! But in reality there are so many ways to rearrange a palette so that it makes sense that no matter what way you come up with it'll end up being fine.

      I think you're right about the palette arrangement! Lol about the dogs.

    I used to use double stick tape too but since I kept changing my mind I switched to putting a strong magnet in the pan. It also makes it easy to switch to a different pallet if I want. Sometimes it seems I spend more time playing with the pallet than actually painting, I love swatching. Nice assortment of colors. Love the soft yellow in your sky.

      Swatching is the best, you get to see your beautiful paints in action without having to think too much, and again, organizing colors is a great activity when you're looking for something menial to do while listening to a podcast, or reflecting on your thoughts.

    • @MirandaWatsonArt

      What magnets do you use? I'm having trouble finding ones strong enough that my pans actually stay where I want them.

      @@MirandaWatsonArt kkhouse 100 pcs 10x1mm thin neodymium magnets $7.48 I’d use two in your full pans. They hold a bit stronger if you double tape stick them on the bottom but it’s kind of nice to put them in the pan before filling.

    I love the Rosa paints. For me they stay tacky no matter what. I don't mind, just have one turquoise one that I bought as a pan, that prefers to run out of the pan if I don't store it flat.

      Oh no! Mine are all fairly dry except for quite a while after I use them. One of my friends down in Georgia had the same issues as you, though.

    I recently got the Royal Brown and Black Green. I love my Rosa Palette. They are not well represented in the watercolor world. Royal Brown is gorgeous and my favorite of the colors you are swatching in this episode. I feel the need to add Warm Grey now. My main Rosa palette is the Botanical one.

      The Royal Brown is an absolutely beautiful color. 😍 I enjoyed it greatly in my sand dunes painting. I'm looking forward to being able to use the Warm Grey, too.

    Hullo Miranda, I am just holding on today, I wanted to let you know that I am so appreciative of your hard work in creating a video and getting it posted! I hope you are doing well and that you are enjoying your Rosa Gallery paints! I have a custom 24 color set and I had trouble finding enough to make the final choices! I have enjoyed the warm grey, I mix so many of my greens and grays that I often don’t use convenience colors. I have slowly gotten more lazy or maybe just more accepting of custom mixes done by others! Please take care, be safe and have a lovely day!

      @MirandaWatsonArt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh no, I hope you are feeling better today. I'm glad my video helped a bit. 24 colors is a great number of paints to have and how fun that you picked all the colors. Hang in there. Hugs.

    You might like using double tape sided magnets. I bought a roll on Amazon and you can cut it to size for half or full pans.

      I'll have to complete my lightfast testing to know about each of them for sure. That'll be upcoming. It takes a while, though.

    I agree that what I have always thought of as lavender is not what is typically sold as lavender in watercolor, where it's a pastel reddish blue. What I've always thought of as lavender is more like "lilac" -- although lilac is more pink -- but I would contend there is a color in between those two! EDIT: I was thinking, "Hey didn't she use Skor tape, and isn't it going to be very hard to move those pans?" It's true, there's no perfect arrangement. Especially since I use a lot of well palettes, and those are even harder to change later, I use my palettes as an exercise in anti-perfectionism! But when I use pans this is why I always use magnet tape :)

      I'm having a hard time finding magnet tape that is strong enough to make it through my travels.

    Another pallet-order-obsessed-perfectionist here. It's becoming a movement... If I typed out the resulting acronym, youtube would ban me from commenting ever again....

    Mine are SUPER gooey/tacky to the point that I avoid using them 🫤. I'm in Upstate NY not the tropics.

      Oh no! No fun. I'm grateful I'm able to use mine without that issue so far.
