Very disappointing video. Washers rated on their bells and whistles, not on failure rates. How typical is that in this day and age. Most consumers want information on how often a particular manufacturer and model breaks down and why. Watch videos that are based on machine failure rates, they are out there on TH-cam.
As of this comment the video has 5.8K upvotes and 6.6K downvotes, that tells me everything I need to now. Thank you for saving people the agony of sitting trough the video.
A word of caution. The Electrolux models you mention *do not* have access to clean the pump filter. You have to disassemble the entire machine in order to access the pump filter. I'd skip on all Electrolux models until they address this.
None of these washers are as reliable as the old days. Gone are the days when all appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators or dishwashers) lasted 20 years or or more. You are lucky to get 10 years of use.
Typical miserable car mechanic saying pretty much the same about nowadays cats, they don't make em like theu used to, blah blah, and while that might be true in certain areas, there's no frigging option to go back to the stone age ppl so what the point of thinking about something that can't happen? 😂🤷🏻♂️
@ArgirisBothos idk what's the point of thinking at all? Why question things? Why vote? There's gonna be a president either way. May as well just drink mountain dew and all jerk ourselves off into oblivion?
Because manufactures now are getting comfortable taking advantage of the people, ripping us off of our hard-earned money. If our governments can do that, these manufacturers can do that too without a hassle. Back then, they’re trying to prove themselves because they not yet wealthy enough. But now they can turn us around like puppets
I have had a lg turbo wash smart ThinQ for two years and I love it was slightly above my budget but so glad I got it wouldn’t go to a different brand now. my friend had the Samsung add wash eco bubble and it died about 6 months ago something went terribly wrong while spinning and all the rubber seal around the drum was twisted and damaged and loads of smoke come out of it. So she’s gone back to hotpoint as she finds them cheaper and more reliable.
I have only ever used front loaders. They offer superior cleaning and are much gentler on clothes. When you finish your laundry, leave the door slightly ajar and you’ll never have smells. Using front loaders since the 80s.
I don't need a washing machine that does all those fandangle things! The problem with todays washing machines is that they are ALL computer programmed and NOT manually operated! I believe this is the main reason machines only are reliable for about 5 years! I'm 75 and do NOT need a computer to decided how to do my laundry. I just bought a Speed Queen front loader with a 5 yr warranty and NEVER in my life thought I would pay what I did for a washing machine! Hopefully, it will out live me!
Times are changing. Like it or not. People want appliances that can keep up with a faster lifestyle. People no longer have the time they used to for housekeeping.
Manually choosing your modes and temps etc definitely cuts down on the cost of the product itself. As a bonus, the less complicated the machine the less likely it is to break and the cheaper it is to repair. From what I hear the speed queen will outlive everyone who's commented so far. They are built to last; that's why so many laundromats have them!
Hi can anyone give me an honest review about hitachi washing machines. We are planing on buying a new washing machine and really liked the new hitachi 9kg front loader
New stuff is fantastic in ways unfathomed ... But still in ways...Prob an old school Top load King size KENMORE from the late 90's. Ha. it's kinda true if you think about it across the board. They JusT Don'T Make'm like they used too. What ever it is really.
Just had to replace a Samsung set and I haven’t owned it for very long . When we called the repair shop the first thing they asked was if it was Samsung because they don’t even touch those machines, they come with too many problems , fixing them is a nightmare, and it’ll cost the price of a new one.
can someone give an honest opinion- which gas washer dryer to buy?? i was thinking of front load new ge model, but looking at reviews i dont know which one to buy as this is an investment, please advise something that is good in US market and last for atleast 5 yrs without trouble, i had samsung in the past but not good experience as it did not dry clothes well.
I have purchased several Samsung products and won’t be buying the Samsung washer as I have been disappointed with all the other appliances in the past. My choice will be the LG washer.
Another factor to consider: are there repair/support techs who will work on them (in the area)? I have been told that techs will work on GEs but not LGs or Samsungs.
The very best washing machine is Speed Queen. They last for at least 20 years especially if you get one without electronics. All of the main manufacturers make machines without electronics, just knobs to set water temp, water level and large medium and small. It’s hard to find a machine without the electronics, but if you can find one, it will last much longer. You could try to order one. The bottom line is, nothing beats a Speed Queen.
I totally disagree. I fell this nonsense twice. My Kenmore I bought 36 yrs ago was damaged by professional movers 8-9 yrs ago. (still have the dryer) going strong at 36). I bought a SPEEDQUEEN AWNE92SP113. It died last week after only 8-9 yrs use. And when I say use it was my hubby and me. No animals,, no kids No heavy duty dirty clothes ever. No King sized anything ever. Just me. most of the time because hubby was on a job assignment for a decade out of state. It came to a full stop last week - one of the communication boards went bad, per the Dealer's TECh after doing zero diagnostics. He just turned the machine on , pressed start and WHa LA - error code CO. The cost to repair started at $500. Neither dealer or tech put anything in writing but SQ told me the cost of the bottom board was $260. The labor was $240 per the tech and owner. The tech said the bottom board was the one that went first usually. For a 8-9 yr machine? I am wondering why ours failed just after the warranty expired. Considering the amount of use I can't make it make sense. The repair charges made the repair unreasonable. We tried to buy a replacement - TR7003WD. Looked just like our old one BUT didn't work from delivery. There were at least three design flaws (per dealer, installer and tech) And the machine never washed clothes or spun clothes right. Neither came close to 20 yrs. Both of the Speed Queens never touched my old SEARS KENMORE (Whirlpool made)., didn't even reach 1/3 of its life. Right now Speed Queen and their cabal are pushing on TH-cam either the machine I bought (which was JUNK) or the TC5000 which has a huge design flaw - the start buttton IS part of an electronic board! And according to the dealer it fails often simply because of touch sensitivity. Speed Queen I believe is riding the wake of the quality machines they USED TO MAKE.
@@ponderrosie4975 couldn’t agree more. Furthermore, Speed Queen has the worst washing results of ANY washing machine on the market. Got a Samsung ecobubble 9kg front load 5 1/2 years ago. Nice looking and washed well but door clattered during spin. machine was levelled & on stable surface so it was just bad design. Next model had completely different door design so they obvs knew it was an issue. Had to put foam buffers between door & casing to stop it which worked well.
