sometimes, especially with fairly dark base, when trying to get the lightener as close to the scalp as possible (cause people seem to REALLY expect it to look like it's growing out blonde from the follicle) I get a "line". After 8 years, it still sometimes happens. Only way to really counter that is to feather it closer to the edge of the foil, yes? I can't believe how well that Blonde Me lightened her! Very nice.
Did you break her base when toning. It looks lighter? This was another helpful video. From what I learned take back to back sections of chunky weaves that way it still blends nicely and always smaller ones around the hairline.
My hairdresser from Moldova is using a lot BlondMe. Now, since I live in US, I have to find somebody else. I cannot trust anyone. thanks for this video ❤️ I will try it at home.
You do such amazing work and your videos are super informative! Do you have a video that shows all the different ways to do babylights depending on where the client styles/parts their hair?
This so helpful. Thanks for the detailed instructions. Here is one thing I missed- with the 8p and 9a toner did you use a developer or apply it directly to the bleached hair?
This helped me so much! I plan on doing this when I have a longer root. You explained very well, also glad to see that you left the lil piece of darkness from the foil, now I know not to bleach from the very root. Definitely will use this video to refer back on when it's time for me to do mine!
I don't understand what you used for the toner. You said 8 pearl mixed in with 9 ash in equal parts but later said the toner you are using has a purple blue base. I thought toner only came in purple blue base so did you mix pearl and ash blonde hair color with a 20 volume developer and apply that? Absolutely beautiful results!
Debster toner can come with many different base colors. For an ashy blonde topically pearl shades will have a blue/violet base color. And ash will prob have blue/grey. Only being a stylist will one get the color difference.
This is amazinG!!!! What level dark brown would you say our client was at? I'm a level 4 dark brown, and we've never done highlights on my virgin roots, we always prep the roots with a permanent color, like an schwarzkof 8A with 30 volume developer and some -11 added to counter the warmth. But this color ends up looking like a warm almost coppery tone which looks tacky next to the highlights... so then we'll go in and shadow root or low light all the orange pieces that weren't highlighted, and it takes 3 or 4 sessions to do my full head of a 2 inch root touch up.... I've been wanting to start trying just foiled highlights on my virgin roots, but I'm scared i'll have a dark band... this video (at least on the video) LOOKS almost as dark as my natural root color, but I'm still scared that I'll have black and yellow black and yellow (since my hair is very dark, and very thick - as in each strand is very thick, along with I have a lot of hair, even though it's shoulder length). Please let me know if this client has level 4 or if she's one of those lucky people who have a level 5 dark brown... I know it's only a 1 level difference, but that one level makes all the difference in the world if you know what I mean!
Thank You for this video, I haven't done Hi lights in a While, I have been in the medical field. But Now I'm trying to get back in. So glad to see you starting in the back, That's how I learned in the beginning. Some people do it different ways now
NO BRASSSSS ON A BLACK HAIR!?!?!?!! HOW COME!! I've never, ever, not even ever, been able to STOP the brassy spot between my natural black hair and the bleached spot!!! I cannot conceive it is a matter of the brand or the 30, 40 or 50vol.... ! I think it's the kind of hair. Or not..? Very remarkable job! Great!
sweethartia really? O.o so wierd - I never thought you could use toner right off the bat going from black like that because if it’s not light enough then the toner won’t work, but I guess in this case it works because the hair is so thin?
Debster that’s the problem I’m having I got about an inch and a half of gray so I don’t know if I should die brown then get it highlighted and I don’t want the dark brown to turn orange from the highlights 😒😒😒
You should kick the hair thats blonde already instead of not bleaching it and folding it up cause its still getting bleach on it. Other than that amazing love!!! Keep it up!!!
Jacqueline Chang you cover the pieces that aren’t already blonde and kick the pre-lightened parts out to the left or right and then fold your foil and that’ll just keep the piece from getting lightener on it again
@@jessicastrong6006 i mean to literally apply lightener on roots or dark pieces and take your comb and kick the ends out of the foil and fold it up. This will prevent any already light enough hair from getting lightener on it or make splotchiness. Hope that answered your question! 🤍
I wish there would have been more movement on the final product. The video ended very quickly, and I hardly was able to see her hair from different angles.
What is the formula for the toner? Do I buy the colors and will it have to say toner or just buy the color and mix with low developer? I love your work, it is beautiful! :)
Hi how long did you leave the bleach in for? Will you see it go through the undertones? Like orange then finally yellow? So if you have black hair and you want a medium brown without orangey tones, would it be a good idea to first bleach it to blonde level 8 rather than bleaching only to level 6 or 7 where the orange will show up ? I mean if you see orange when bleaching should you keep it in a bit longer until your hair is more yellow as opposed to orange. And then tone. Thankyou.
If you want a medium brown, I believe the undertone should be orange. After lightening, you would use a permanent color, not just a toner to get to the desired color. Toning is for blonde hair typically. Not an expert though!
I believe your right Silvia. From what I understand the toner will fade so if you tone it at a orange level. It will fade at back to orange. Thats why you want to be a shade lighter when lightening and then tone to the shade you going for.
My issue with this on myself is that my virgin level 5 (natural base) turns immediately orange as soon as ANY least little bit of volume 5 or 10 developer hits it. The only thing I have been able to do is either leave no sections of virgin hair, or use a color over that does not use peroxide (which I assume is only non permanent/ semi perm) Is there a way to keep rinsed lifted highlight sections separate so they are separate for the toner? My hair is mid length so I'm not sure can be done with cap.
My hair is very resistant and stays brassy even with most brands of bleach I put no permanent or demi color in my hair. Tone with redken shades EQ love Schwarzkopf product
@@irisgallegos4232 I reccomend to use permanent dye for your toner since it resistance. Try wella 09/69 Illumina with 5 vol. Best take out brass. You might have to go really aggressive when you lighteb your hair. Just my thought. ;)
💜🖤AHHH I just followed you on IG, & noticed UR FROM SEATTLE!!🖤💜 YESSS!!! Finally a TH-camr I feel close with! I was there last week at the venue The Crocodile for a show! Bella start with a lower developer then work your way up. When I do thick haired clients I use 20 at the bottom and once I get to the front/top iswitch to 30 so the top processes faster. If your not sure of it I would just rinse out what you foiled first once you get to your desired level

Jennifer Jahns thanks! If you do thinner subsections you might have better luck getting closer to the root without having to feather! :)
Thin diagonal weaves make the line shattered
Blonde me ruined my hair 😒

Thanks for the tutorial, may I ask what products are you using specifically the toner please
Awesome work. You are a great teacher. Every step you have explained so well. Thanks
I really appreciate your videos! Your work always turns out beautiful 😍

Hi, How long did you leave the full head of bleach on? Twin
What color shoul i use if the roots are blonde and want dark ??
Hello question. If you don't have a scale how would you measure the amount of product's you use? I want to try doing my own highlights at home.
Ruth Gonzalez don’t try this at home if yoûre not. Hairstylist. It’s hard enough when you are and we don’t do our own hair for these things
Excellent job I want to do the same. Plz guide me exatly about the products. Which brand have u used for consumer n shade

Blu3Typh00n you know I never thought that either I thought you have to do a color remover first. I assume that’s her natural hair color so it’s fine
Blu3Typh00n I think it has to do with each individuals hair some will lift more than others
My hair was highlighted before and if my roots are long with some gray/silver, should I dye my roots brown before highlighting?

New friend 🔔♥️Good job hun lovely colour xx
Hi, amazinnng! anyone knows how long did she leave the bleach on the hair?
It’s the wearing no gloves for me!
I was interested to know if you can use regular aluminum foil from the kitchen or does it have to be special foil?
You can use regular kitchen foil i use it all the time 🤗
Did u use developer for toner, if so what strength?
Amelia Chavez I’m wondering too.
Usually they use 10 volume developer
Yassss i love your video keep posting plz ❤️
Remy Ou YASSSS! will do!
Do you think this technique would work on red/brown hair ?

New to your channel & I am in love! I am also a stylist and always get request for hair colors like these. Have you ever used Flash lift by Redken?
MIGUEL RAWR yes! I’ve used flashlight before, it works great, slower at lift, with the blonde me when mixed with the developer it’s heat activated!
