Seth is really the only late-night host who carried on a major thread of Conan's irreverent, bizarrely wonderful humor and style, along with his ability to laugh at himself and roll with mess ups.
For years I've thought Seth was Conan's true successor & throughout the pandemic he really proved that to me. We'll probably never see another Conan, especially not the way tv works nowadays, but Seth really comes close. Seth might just have a little more sanity than Conan though. Lol.
Since Covid, the “roll with the mess ups” has made Seth so much more relatable and endearing. He’s a master at his craft and a good boss to boot, but he’s also a perfectionist and I love love love that he lets us see behind the curtain sometimes. He is the story we need right now.
His style reminds me of Craig Ferguson as well. The recognition and elevation of the absurdity of late night TV.
Corrections is the best example of that.
Happy birthday, Seth. The good part about reaching 50 is you do not GAF about pretty much anything anymore. It's liberating.
Oh, he maybe got there a little early up in the attic and with the sea captain during the worst of the pandemic.
As someone who’s nearing 30 that sounds genuinely wonderful
@@abigailsalmanac
bruh, peopl in their thirties exaggerate age numbers like crazy.
This show is unhinged and I love it!!!!
Right?! I love the way that Seth just rolls with mistakes!
Seth’s format for the whole show is so ouch more refreshing and different than the other later night shows. It doesn’t follow the same cookie cutter format rather each episode is unique in its own way-these segments are a perfect example. You wouldn’t see the other hosts doing corrections or jokes Seth can’t tell
to be fair. It would be pretty weird if Jimmy Fallon did jokes SETH can't tell
😆😄@@placeholderdoe
Seth can't fool us. We know he can do push-ups. We have seen how jacked he is.
He does look mighty fine in those fancy sweaters he likes to brag about! I wasn't complaining about seeing his jeans in this segment, either.
You have to be jacked to be your own Jackal/Centaur.
*How Jackaled he is.
I’m sure he could do at least 13 one handed pushups with Wally on his back.
@@parkerevans6716 definitely what I thought of and you beat me to it
What I love about Seth compared to other late night hosts is that he has no qualms of being a clown.
Yes! Totally commits to the bit. Never takes himself too seriously.
Segments like corrections have made me very parasocial given how accessible he seems.
Qualms *about. But what does "parasocial" mean?
Me too he is my favourite host at the moment.. I think the best part about his comedy is the thought "wtf am I seeing... " 😂
@@dukeofthedance8062I’m sorry you have such crummy people working with you 😞
I enjoy them. Also, seems like Covid is to blame. Not Seth?
SETH YOU TELL BEN HE DID A GOOD JOB AND GIVE HIM A HUG RIGHT NOW!! 😂😂
"You did okay...for an orphan."
That line had me freaking rolling with laughter. 🤣🤣🤣
I had to rewind because it made me laugh so hard 😂😂
Seth is the treasure we all deserve. He gives us what we want, and what we deserve! 😅
Love the staff showcase. Might as well call them 'cast' now. 😂
I *never* thought I'd be saying this, but, "Welcome to your 50s!!" In all seriousness, as an experienced 50-something, I feel like your 50s are a less hungover, better slept version of your 30s where you have much easier time giving zero f*cks about stupid sh*t and realize that naps are pretty much the best thing ever. And I do mean *EVAR*. Much love and welcome to the club!
[Also, sunscreen and compression socks are your friends. For real.]
Hear hear. Well summed up. I hit 50 a few months ago and I love it. I'd add a telescopic back scratcher into the mix as a middle aged multi tool. I strongly suggest to others it has also scratched the front so that no one else will touch it. I'm perfectly capable of misplacing it myself.
😝🤣@@kennyn1992
Turning 50 is better than not turning 50...
Word
💯
🔥🔥🔥
I beg to differ. I have been 44 for 12 years and it's freakin' awesome.
😜
50s *are* really great & Seth ain't wrong about nuthin'.
Let the church say Amen ❤
I love when something happens at the beginning and he calls out a bit as A BIT but then just plows ahead like nothing happened... 😂
Correction: Once again, it is ‘Psych’ and not “sike”. Sike means small stream.
@ 4:20, Seth is basically saying, “Small stream! I’m rich as hell”
Sincerely,
The Same Jackal (who pointed this out last time, but who has now lost faith in your ability to improve)
P.S. This error will prompt the moon man to haunt you in a painting
Technically this is a correction for the graphics department since ultimately they're the ones who would be doing the on-screen text.
People spelling it "sike" is so infuriating. That being said, I think that's now the popularly accepted way to spell it.
Thank you. I don't care if it makes me an irritating jackal: the word is spelled p-s-y-c-h!!!!!!! Psych! I'm a people-pleaser. I really do care.
This error same was made in the LAST version of this skit @ 1:50 and then “corrected” in a following corrections.

I just hit 60 and it's the best time ever! I actually spent it at Disneyland because I have the money to do it, something I couldn't have done when I was younger working my ass off paying the mortgage putting a child through college and so on and so forth and was able to retire early.. I also get free bus travel and so many other perks. Embrace it, it's more fun than being young.
I also live in Wales, so I get free healthcare and free prescription, free eye exams and although the NHS isn't perfect, I keep myself fit and healthy so I don't need it except to get my free flu jabs.
Well done my Welsh friend!👍🏻
Sometimes i think the writters make sure there is material for corrections.. Exhibit A: the first line :)
Maybe the writers have spent too much time with the graphics team?
Someone's padding the time to ensure that they win the pool
This is why Seth Meyers is the funniest late nite show.
We can't let him know that we love the show, he might not do corrections.
Absolutely
I turned 50 this past September. I now tell people I’m pushing fifty, not pushing up daisies. You’re a role model
This was good. For Seth it seems jokes about 50 is his new forte.
UGGGG, I love it! 😂 But will Will?
I can only give you one thumb's up, but as an English major, you have my undying gratitude.
Fun fact, "forte" meaning strength is French and properly pronounced "fort." You're thinking of "forte" meaning "loudness" which is Italian and pronounced "for-tay."
@jb. I'm thinking of the forte meaning something someone excels at. I'm Scottish and we pronounce it the same as 40. I wasn't aware it was pronounced differently in the US.
Which one means "specialty"?@@jb888888888
Good catch calling it fizzy wine, way to deny the Jackals informing you that its only champagne if its from the Champagne region.
This was so hilarious!!! Hats off to the writers.👏
Here here Seth!!
The only thing missing was Amber mocking and goading him.
We are thankful got you Seth and Amber Jenny Wally Baze and Ben for his push-ups and zeal… thank you late night crew for lightening up the full on cray insanity that’s become our reality. We appreciate you! 🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏🤣
I haven't seen an AT THIS POINT IN THE BROADCAST bit in a while. I really like them because Seth says some really outrageous stuff. He did one years ago about ketchup that I thought was really funny.
5:49 Correction, Seth clearly laughed and then put a stick of cinnamon gun in his mouth. Not the other way around.
This was the funniest sketch ever! Is there no end to this man's talent. You can make us laugh even when you aren't speaking 😂
Pure insanity! I loved it! 😆😆😆
Happy Thanksgiving to Seth, his family, the entire crew, and the jackal community. Have a good one. 🦃🍁🥧
I used to think you guys were weird before but... Now I know!
Happy birthday Seth! you make all our life TREMENDOUSLY BETTER! to the next 50!!
Very cool rant...Seth made a point that he involved everyone in this skit..Happy Birthday Seth..
50 is the new 35.5...lol
This bit just keeps on giving. I love it
I'm loving Seth more and more. Happy Birthday and Happy Thanksgiving.
At this Point in the Broadcast is the best Late Night segment
I think the writers' been doing shrooms. very funny. 50 is the halfway point, enjoy each moment!
The way I love this show is ridiculous ♥
He traded in baby Addie! 🤣🐾
This was hilarious, Seth and the writers are on 🔥
This is truly hilarious!! Thanks again for all the laughs Seth!! We really missed you during the Writer's Strike. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Birthday Seth! I live for your shows! My 51st is the 18th and I will be 51. I loved this segment.
I’m used to it starting with a bit about migrating tree frogs.
The best segment ever in history of all late night shows
Like my mom always says when people complain about being old: "better old than dead"
Yes, Seth, atta boy! What a great skit🤣😂🤣
Just like us, age shamelessly, envious of youth! Oh RIP Baze🤣
It's all downhill from here on out, buddy! Happy Early 50th🤣😂
It's hilarious that Ben was the VO actor for this and an on stage actor but he was the only one that didn't hit his timed lines...
I simply love this segment.
Welcome to 50!! This was hilarious!!!
The timing of the narration to the acting was hilariously accurate.
Good news, Seth! They first 3 or four weeks feel pretty much like being 49. Expect more updates as available.
I just pulled a muscle posting that... We're in trouble.
@@NewMessage 🤣
Was cackling allowed? Because I was absolutely cackling through that whole thing! 😂
Know I'm 1 month out on this & late to the comment party but since I've now seen a coupla times, it occurs to me that Seth, to his great credit, has a kinda stealth charisma in these pieces. Make more comedy like this, please.
"Brilliant, Seth writers and cast!" said this Monty Python addict who is no different than other MP addicts yet wants to show appreciation. For, a job done is a good job.
I was dead set on being in a crappy mood all day today... You RUINED it! (Adam Sandler voice) 🔥❤️🤩
Omg I’m dying, this was one of the funniest things I’ve seen so far 😂😂😂
I was at an important charity gala dinner - this morning....
These have become my favorite segments.
1974 Baby!!! 🥳🥳🥳💞🤟😎🤩
Congratulations Sir.
50 isn't so bad.
It gets worse.
I'm 64, so I know 😂
I will be 64 next year. Make me the president. Then, it will get better... for everyone. Keep looking out for the care hens. If you see Trump, tell him "Let's go *Brand Dumb*".
@@cosmicraysshotsintothelight If I see inmate 01135809 I'll let him know.
Not very likely though.
I never consort with criminals.
0:20 - I really want to think that's written in, the digression. It's funny, the way he reads the line and drops at the end with disappointment. People that handle frustration well, it's interesting. I think that's what some people mean by "funny in real life" versus "funny on stage." It's just a matter of built in context. Great show!
Seth has such a great way of showing an exuberant performance that titters on comical genius. Keep going Seth and yes 50 is the new 20!! Happy Thanksgiving to you Seth your family and the amazing people that makes your show a success every night! In uncertain times like these, we can all appreciate a little bit of comedy and laughter .” Secret Power “
Hah, *titters*
They teeter on that brink, and go over it, all the time, yep. And you said *titters* which was no accident. 😂
It was no accident indeed! 😂
I turn 50 on Sunday... Not the new 20 in any way, but could be worse...like 60, haha
Ok now I need a corrections version of this!!!!
This is Canadian contraband now apparently lmao I guess I’m a rebel 🤣
I love Seth so much.Happy Birthday Seth😘😘
"wheezed Baez" looooool
How many times has Baze died on "At this point in the broadcast"?😂😂😂😂
I see nothing wrong with the opening line. When you host a late night show earlier this morning was dinner. Wally deserves a raise
I loved my 20s, 30s, & 50s.
I'm 65 now & ugh.
So glad the “young blood” is ethically sourced.
Absolutely absurd. Fantastically brilliant.
Good one Seth and Crew
Oh, man. Seth is turning 50? That's so sad. R.I.P. buddy. We're going to miss you.
If you can have breakfast for dinner surely you could have a gala dinner in the morning.
Great bit. Nicely executed.
In Wally’s car… are there places to park near 30 rock? Like do they have employee parking? I don’t think I’ve ever thought of that
Great show
“What about the girl?” 😂
Also: well done, Ben. This was apt, and hilarious!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻💋💋💋💋💋🇺🇸🌸
Well that was quite a trip. Loved it.
Wonderful stuff. Well done all especially ben. Kids, enjoy your new gingerbread home!!!
Happy 20th, Seth.
Ben crushed both the push ups and the narration.
That was great ! ❤
Thanks
Sad to see “sike” instead of “psych.” I you should know better! Jeez. I know I’m being a pedantic jackal, but that one pisses me off. It robs the word of its power. I gave up the normality fight against “normalcy,” and I regret it every day. I’m not quitting on you, psych!
Comedy gold.
Greatest sketch ever
CORRECTION: it should have been sons’ school with the apostrophe at the end. Sons, plural possessive.
If they go to different schools, ignore correction.
He will
Great exercise in improv, not as many laughs as I would hope for a 7 minute bit.
I love how these segments are getting more and more unhinged, keep it up! :D
🎉Happy Birthday! 🎉
I contend that the correct spelling of "sike" is "psych" because the former is a misspelling of the latter. _This is a testable hypothesis:_
The word was exclusively aural for most people prior to the internet and texting. Once people wanted to use the word over the internet or via text, it needed a spelling, and the lack of exposure to the written word combined with the quick proliferation of information across the internet meant that the makeshift spelling "sike" became the default written form once used online. But the word was used for decades prior to the internet and texting, and there are written records of its usage in, for example, television and movie scripts. An examination of these media will, I think, find that "psych" is the original and sole spelling of this word prior to the advent of "sike" online.
Are "psych" and "sike" even the same word? I argue that investigation of their use cases will find that there is no discernible difference between the two, that both versions occur only in very specific conversational circumstances (with the word almost always isolated and appended with an exclamation point), and that this is evidence that "sike" was adopted because writers, though they had heard the word spoken, did not know how to spell "psych."
(This is more of a joke than anything, because language is defined by its use: If everyone uses "sike," then "sike" is correct. While I do believe that "sike" was originally a misspelling of "psych," I don't believe it's wrong in any particularly meaningful way. But I think that this would make an interesting essay for a linguistics student or something, nonetheless. If you are such student, look at the television show _Psych_ to see how (and when) it got its name.)
Wow, that was long and boring thanks
Something tells me one of the writers on staff has been playing BG3 and really enjoys the hag subquests.
What did I just watch?😂 I love this show!!!
Somebody caught the "free range Y-chromosomes" while pouring in some white liquid?! 😂🤢
A true descent into madness
That was SO funny!! 😅😂🤣🤣😄😁😆😆
Happy Thanksgiving seth meyers
That was an adventure!
So Seth, you're handling this better than expected. Is Ellen ok? She probably should have rescued me
Correction - the witch made a preposition? What are you ON about?
More of these!!
Well, crikey, that nurse must have been on a crash course in speedy diagnostics! Checking for a pulse in the blink of an eye, are we? Last time I checked, playing a round of stethoscope hopscotch wasn't part of the medical curriculum. I reckon even Sherlock Holmes would raise an eyebrow at such lightning-fast deductions. Perhaps a tad more thorough investigation wouldn't go amiss - we're dealing with life and death, not a quick game of musical chairs!
not my favorite skit of the late show universe but you have to appreciate the timing on this act.
