Was that wallpaper still around in 1925? My home as a child had old wallpaper and I never thought about it being toxic, There were never pests there. Hmmm

THEY WOULD EAT IT WILLINGLY? EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW???
They weren't eating it. It was absorbed through the skin from the green clothing they wore and inhaling it from the wallpaper and paints. Either way is deadly.
Well in the case of children, it was likely very young toddlers who didn't know any better and probably recognized the bright color as something similar to candy. The average person wasn't eating it willingly.
Maybe it's tasty.
