Here's some trivia for the movie: Because of Wang Liu Mei's Death in S2, CB lost a LOT of funding and had to massively strip back their operations. This is also why the Gundams seen in the movie are built directly from their predecessor's frame data (Dynames and Arios > Zabanya and Harute) and why Setsuna is still using the 00 Raiser since they just needed to repair it and it's performance was already satisfactory. At the end of S2, 3/5 of the original GN drives were destroyed. 1 when the Seraphim Gundam was shot down by ribbons and 2 when Setsuna and Ribbons stabbed each other's mobile suits. Because of the aforementioned budget reasons, most of their GN based suits have to run on GN condensers, basically fuel tanks that can store GN particles. This is why the 00 raiser ran out of particles during its trans-am burst. Even the Ptolemaios was retrofitted with the ability to use pseudo GN drives in the case that it needs to refill it's particles and no Gundam with a GN drive is able to stop to fill it up. By the end of the movie, Harute was destroyed in battle as we saw Alleluiah and Marie escaping from it as an ELS beam hit it. This means that going forward, Celestial Being only has access to 1 true GN drive, Zabanya's, for whatever conflicts await them since Setsuna took off with the 2 new ones they just created for the Qan-T.

Hope you have looked at the lyrical translations of ED4 'Trust You' :) Funny enough, it was my friend who brought me to this series by showing me this movie first. I was a SEED watcher first and thought that 00 gundams looked weird, so I never touched the anime. But the quote at the end of this movie and the spirit with which this movie was made captivated me, which prompted my beginning into season 1. At this point, I think it's one of those animes that stuck the landing. Even though season 3 is seemingly in the works, I'd hate to see the series spoiled by subpar plot. I'd welcome it only if it didn't break the momentum and quality of plot established by the previous seasons and this movie. But let's see.

Tried to romance first time, Lockon senior fuckin' died, tried to do the same with his lil' bro, he clearly shows that he's not interested and then when she finally tries to go for Setsuna, he ascends into becoming Jesus and visits Marina first (and marries her in the manga before making her young again because ELS powers)

the additional material stated that between the els fight and setsunas return there was a innovator war ..there are additional suits created for it..exia repair 3 and dynames repair...also a virtue variant..and one character takes setsunas place as exia pilot...

Andrei death kinda bitter sweet because at first he blame Sergei for his mom death so he took revenge for nothing. Now he understood what his mom and dad did as a soldier to protect the people.he accept his destiny as soldier to sacrifice himself for the people just like his mom. Sad thing, only Setsuna witness his death and no one know even soma. This kind of death normally happened in any Gundam story btw and it's depressing to see because no one or only few know their sacrifice.
I'm surprised you understood the els premise on the first watch. good on you. Yea Els trying to communicate through quantum brainwaves, or you get assimilated. Unfortuately 00 has a problem of letting people go. cough graham coming back cough. But that story with els graham is pretty good. aftermath of the war. almost lost all military strength. terorrism rises again. Teaser. fricken minute long thing reviving the first lockon for some reason. There was a manga that shows an army of 00 raiser ELS and gadelazas just wrecking havac. Unfortunately we may or may not get something major since 00 didn't really make as much money as seed. Seed is a current hype rn because of the movie. Though probably want to watch more than one episode each release due to the amount of episodes you need to get through.
Ooo the aftermath does sound interesting, and 🙄 I guess having Graham back again isn't so bad. But yea some other decisions, ugh, I'll post it in a video explaining my thoughts on the whole series

In a side story manga, there is els gundams too And in the manga version of the movie setsuna and marina are kinda together? Idk (I found this in Marina's gundam fandom wiki page)
At the end, Setsuna basically became part ELS so he never aged and was all metallic.
