Panopticons - Halo

Halo is situated on Top o’ Slate, a former quarry and landfill site in the hills about Haslingden, Lancashire. It was completed in September 2007 and was the fourth in the Panopticons series. Panopticons was a unique and ambitious project, managed by Mid Pennine Arts, to erect a series of 21st century landmarks across East Lancashire as symbols of the renaissance of the area.
Halo was designed by John Kennedy, the winner of an international competition sponsored by the Royal Institute of British Architects.
