    It's also helpful to identify member BE as a zero-force-member, which makes method of joints just as easy as method of sections.

    Wouldn't BF be in compression since it's actually pointing towards B?

      right i thought if it goes into the joint its in compression

    Member BF is actually in compression.

    This is in compression, not tension.

    no, as we assumed all forces in tension and the answer is in negative, therefore, it is compression isn't it?
