Great comment! I really don't consider UGH a diss track, though, for the reason you stated - as hard as it goes, it really feels like it belongs with Baepsae as a commentary/critique kind of song. Also I'm amused at how we (I'm so guilty of this) forget their Intros, too - technically, Nevermind is a rapline track, and Skool Luv Affair definitely is (dorky and adorable as it might be).

“Bae” works in English like sarcastically saying “sorry, boo” but in Korean it likely refers more specifically to their industry “seniors”, like idols who debuted before them and music/media executives (sunbae). cypher pt. 4 is their last one because they're basically saying that they don't care anymore about all those hating on them. there is no point anymore, they've said all they had to say, so they're saying goodbye now, they're moving on, and so should you (haters). "i don't hate you anymore" basically, "i'm all the way up here now while you're still miserable, so keep on living your life like that if you want, stay healthy though" lol
There is nothing in the world like being in a stadium full of 60,000 people all screaming “I love, I love, I love myself.” One of the best feelings ever. Love your reactions! Would love to see reactions to Haegeum by Agust D (Suga’s alter ego) and his song Polar Night.
Cypher pt 4 was in 2016 which was almost 8 years back. Note that they ask haters to love themselves in the last cypher. And their next full album was 'love yourself' which was an album trilogy. The reason they stopped making cyphers is that they don't really need to prove anything anymore, because they went above any other artist in Korea/Asia after 2016, it was just world domination. They still released diss-like tracks like Ddaeng, Mic Drop later though.
The first 3 Cyphers were early BTS, when they were struggling for respect amidst significant ridicule and commercial disadvantages. Cypher 4 lyrics reflects that BTS had turned the corner and did not have to simply issue disses at their antis while flexing their skills. They were comfortable that a basis for respect was indisputable. It was earned. I think J Hope's line "you wanna be my life?" shows this security they had in their own skills and prestige. The two other rappers quickly blurt out ad libbing this statement "want a be, want a be". making clear to their detractors that for all their talk they could only dream about what BTS has.
Mi cypher preferido! Tear es una maravilla, sobre todo en directo, transmite tanto... Y Ugh! os recomiendo la actuación en la que están en un ring de boxeo
At this point in their career BTS were already so successful that their achievements spoke for themselves - they didn’t have anything more to prove, hence why this Cypher is more laid back. They have risen above the petty competitions. J-Hope says “Open your eyes and see my ambition; Bring your ear closer and listen; This will be the first and final words”. They’re so above everyone in Korea that they don’t even care about what the haters have to say anymore; they’re turning towards themselves now and “loving themselves” and they advice the same to the haters instead of wasting their time to hate on them. RM says that no matter how negatively they react the end result is that BTS are only earning more from the engagement. (“Even though you hate me, You know me, I like hate comments better than no comments, I don’t know you, But you know my name.”) Suga’s final words are very straightforward and sarcastic “I’m sorry but I’ll earn more going forward, so watch me. And stay healthy, please.” In conclusion, BTS are done proving themselves and playing in small waters. In the year they released this song (2016) they ended up winning their first Grand Award in Asia. Only a year after, in 2017, were invited to the AMAs where their whole international success began. The bottom line - they were right to say everything they’ve been saying. Not one act from Korea comes close to their success now, and even in American Market they’re one of the most successful artists of all time. So yeah, this Cypher was the last farewell before they really started to take off!
Please react to Outro: Tear by rapline. This song was written by them when BTS were going through a very hard time in their career especially when they even thought of disbanding. To know more of BTS members equally, you can watch "A guide to BTS members: the bangtan 7" Or to the hardships faced by BTS. Just know that BTS music goes beyond just music and that is the reason why they are the biggest boy band in the world with the most loyal fan base. We also love long reaction videos so you don't have to worry about that. Thank you for reacting. Lots of love.
*******OUTRO TEAR LIVE AND HIP HOP PHILE NEXT PLEASE. HIP HOP PHILE WILL SHOW YOU JUST HOW MUCH RESPECT AND ADMIRATION BTS (RAPLINE) HAS FOR OG RAPPERS!! PLEASE!! YOU WILL BR AMAZED AT WHO THEY SHOUT OUT!******
This cypher was released in 2016 and the first in 2013. They released them as slap downs to their haters. This one is more of a ‘we don’t actually care anymore, we’re happy, you do you’ than a full on cypher. Korean language order is subject, object then verb, whereas in English it’s subject, verb then object.✌️💜
Thank you guys for the reaction. Can't wait to see when you will do their live performances of all cyphers cause this is when you will realize how GOOD they are . RM , SUGA and J-HOPE already on that level that they don't need anymore to prove anything to anyone..this talented guys ( and I'm talking about all 7 of them) already legends! P.S. one note BTS debuted 2013 they are already 11 years in industry... anyways love your reaction. It's really heartwarming to see musicians doing reaction to the musicians 💜!

Idk if anyone else has mentioned it, but aside from the cyphers there are also rapline subunit tracks too. Tear, Ugh!, Respect, Ddaeng for example. They all also have solo tracks within the group discography (Intro: Persona, Interlude: Shadow, Seesaw, Outro: Ego) that are also great. And of course now they all also have solo albums out, all of them a very different flavour
Hey guys, been enjoying these Cypher reactions from yall! BTS did Cyphers from their first EP - there's a track called "Circle Room Cypher" that features all seven of them just messing around as the Outro - and they were the rap line focus tracks for the EPs and album that followed into 2014. 1-3 were definitely meant as clapbacks for the criticism they - especially RM and Suga - received from the rap scene. Cypher 4 doesn't show up until their next full album, WINGS, in 2016, and I think it's meant to tie off the Cypher series by saying, "Yeah, we heard you, but we also don't give a shit anymore." They haven't gone back to the Cypher well since, though there's a sort of unofficial one called "Ddaeng" that they did in 2018. Like Cypher 4, it's more of a track, though it also features RM flexing his skills both in verse and delivery. It's a fan favorite, though it really does need extra explanation to get the full meaning of it in English. Rap line's other unit tracks after this are Outro: Her, Outro: Tear, and UGH!, though RM and Suga have duo'd for two songs, "Respect" for BTS and "Strange" for Agust D, and Suga and j-hope just collabed on "HUH" for Agust D. They are fantastic at performing their tracks live; the Cypher stage mixes, Tear and UGH! are all worth a watch, whether you react to them or not :D And thanks again for these reactions, it's a lot of fun to get your opinions on bars and flows, given y'all's experience.
@@g100-w6j I was thinking about including MIC DROP, but since I was just talking about rap line songs I left it out. I believe he goes over it in the LY: Her Album behind? 'Cause he talks about the bits everyone wrote, which is super interesting
Its like speaking like Yoda. The end half of the sentence moves to the beginning. Alot of non english languages are structured like that and its funny as hell when english speakers try to learn
Just so u know there is an OT7 Cypher that is more like a skit on BTS' 1st mini album called Outro: Circle Room Cypher which happens to be my fave Cypher just cuz it's so sadly slept on. There are some great bars in but also they are so unserious in it but also cuz poor Jin & Jimin be struggling fr in it. 🤣
I hope this means y’all will watch them perform the medley live to bring it all together. A lot of these cyphers are better live and it’s more satisfying when they’re performing them all in one show.
On a geeky language note: Korean and Japanese are both verb-final languages, so everything else comes before the action or state of it. English and Spanish are verb-in-the-middle kinds of languages, so all the other stuff goes around the action or state. (There are verb initial languages, too, but they're not common.) Spanish, Japanese and Korean are all much, much less strict about verbs having a subject in every sentence than English is, too, which can make translating between the languages a lot of fun.

I'm thinking they closed out the trash talking with this Cypher. They are now starting to let go of caring so much about the haters. They will now be moving on to better things and the haters can continue to do the usual if they chose to. Bangtan will just no longer care too much about it. You can tell by how RM and Suga have released their solo albums. BTS will now move on to their next stage.
you should totally check born singer, hip-hop phile, ddaeng, outro tear and some more of their solo stuff!! jhope's album goes craaazyyyyy as well as rm's and suga's too

Hello. Thank you for reacting to BTS Cyphers. My favorite is Cypher Pt 2. Please react to them performing these Cyphers live jn concert...BTS Cypher Medley live performance. It's awesome! The crowd goes wild, too. Thank you!
Gracias! I love your reaction and that you’re open minded to listen to music from other countries and languages. You should definitely listen to the performance because they are always better, I also believe you would like Ddaeng and Ugh from the BTS rappers. Thanks again y cuídense mucho 💜💜💜
Although it’d be great to see more reactions on the whole group or all the members, I definitely have to recommend listening to the rap line’s last solo projects (J-hope’s Jack in the box, RM’s Indigo and Suga’s D-day). Because as you clearly realised with the cyphers, their styles are so different and somehow unique to a degree and with every cypher or rap line song that came out they’ve accomplished a new level every time (level of understanding, rhyming, flowing, everything), almost like they found themselves in the process and these albums showcase that really well, just-hope linking his roots of dancing to old school hip hop tracks with his music, rm taking a more r&b approach and incorporating what he enjoys, art and nature into the lyrics, and suga channeling the anger from his agust d persona into acceptance and overcoming the flaws of life. Also you’re right about the sentence structure in Korean (I don’t know Japanese, but sounds like you’ve explained it) when in English would be “I’m sorry for that” in Korean is more of “for that, I’m sorry”. Anyways, enjoyed the reactions, there’s a lot of time to catch up until the boys are all back. Have a great week!
Cypher medley live is fire. Hope mentions 1verse which is fire he put that out on SoundCloud back in the day it’s the best from el chapo. His lyricism was crazy on that one
The whole point of this particular cypher is the "I'm unbothered, Happy with myself and will not entertain your negativity/hate any longer." To continue making cyphers would be cruel considering the inability for haters to make a dent on their shield. BTS have evolved passed that pettiness and we Army respect them more than ever..Love your haters, they won't know how to act 😂💜
All 4 is my favorites but outro Tear, ddaeng,Ugh is my all day to go sound. let us watch your reactions to this 3 Faves of mine outro Tea,Ddaeng,Ugh from the BTS rapline.
Their rap tracks like Ugh and Ddaeng are great. The lyrics are different than the cyphers because there are more references and word play, so I definitely recommend checking them out but would suggest also reacting to the DKDKTV explanation videos for those songs to understand how much they’re playing with language and the cultural references.

bts have been training since 2010...they debuted at 2013. cypher pt. 4 came out 2016. the lyrics vid especially of their old stuff might not be the best reference for the track release. ☺️ also, you already know bae is a slang for babe/baby in english. but it's actually a double entendre. in korea, people who have seniority over you in a particular industry or even in school will be called "sunBAE" which is a term of respect. rm here is mocking supposedly sunbae or seniors in the hip hop industry who's fuming with jealousy and hating on bts. lol lil trivia. many wordplays are lost in translation. for strictly cypher, my fave is pt. 2. for a song, i love pt. 3. but pt.4 is an anthem and a good wrap up. :)
No, they started in 2013. They were doing cyber for fun or to respond to haters of the songs. They did not publish it 5 years ago. They published it much earlier. And please react to more bts live performances they are sooo good live and thank you
AGUST D BY AGUST D is a masterpiece with the sick ass boom bass beats ,the agression, the lyrics you're looking for ....check it out as soon as possible. I can't wait for your reactions
Personally, I think The main thing in rap is the lyrics and the delivery, BTS’s rap line always perfectly does both, each one of them writes their own verse, the unique thing about these three rappers is the adlibs, they make you tremble to catch every small detail, and just people who have a real understanding for music and rap can catch these amazing details, they change the flow and the beat every second and they don't stuck in just one flow, they do it in a way no other rappers can do, they are legends
agreed, i don't view this as cypher and see it more as another song on the album. still has one of my favorite verses from all of them though, especially jhope's rap
The Cyphers were part of their albums. Cypher 4 is like ok I do not hate you any more cause I love myself, I am healthy, I am happy and I am at the top so good luck
Watch the intro to BTS: the seven members of Bangtan. It's an interesting video that will give you some background into some of the crap they went through.
As a new fan myself love to these bts reactions! Have you guys thought of reacting to Mexican rappers like cartel de santa, c-kan, la santa grifa, santa fe klan, ect?
You should react to daeng..UGH..outro tear too...that's also so good..expecialy the live perfm.....becouse every songs of BTS..s the most best things is the live version....all bts song is more and more good if you watch the live performance..their song..their stage..theur kharisma..their voice is just too good❤❤
It’s fun watching you explore BTS 💜 and I love the attention you’re giving to the rap line. I enjoy a lot of KPop artists, and a lot of groups have members who rap.. members who rap, not rappers who are members. BTS has rappers who are members. Jackson Wang of GOT 7 is the first to say, he’s not a rapper, but a member who raps. I think that’s another thing that sets BTS apart.. 💜💜💜 You need to check out Ddaenng (and watch the explanation video) and check out RM’s Persona.
These cyphers were throughout the first half of their career with 2023 being their 10th year. Bc like u said they’ve become kpop idols which back then was looked down on for many reasons and one being u don’t get taken seriously ur not real artist if ur doing Korean pop music. The under ground scene looked down on them too bc they became kpop. But bts were real artists writing their own music. So both the kpop and rap scene had their backs turned to them. So bts are angry. Sad and angry in the beginning. They are the true underdog story. Small company, verge of bankrupt, truthful exposing lyrics, true hip hop warriors with passion and pen and nobody wanted anything to do with them but they kept rising. I strongly recommend the TH-camr xCeleste videos bts nobody’s to legends, bts hardships, this is bts. Bc you’ll get more of a break down of what they went through what they’ve done what they’ve achieved who they are. Even if u don’t record it just watch them so u can understand better. There’s another one on their musical achievements but i don’t remember who by or the title. But it was really good
Ugh! next. Also do the explanation video. I didn’t get it at first and then I really loved it after understanding more. Now it’s my fave! DKDK has a popular explanation video
6:31 y’all should also check out Jhope - 1verse It was his first solo track rapping alone and he did it all himself, it’s also sampled 50cent but just checking it out it’s a vibe And BTS - Baepsae (they have a choreography video if you want to hear and watch how they dance to it , when I first heard it that’s the video I watched when it was posted but I didn’t know if the lyrics so it’s fun and then when you get into the lyrics it’s very deep so yea)
In this chyper:
suga will tell you that you are trash,
RM will explain why you are trash,
Then Jhope will explain it's okay to be trash

Seeing them perform live also kicks it up a few notches 💜💜
now you guys NEED to watch the cypher medley
My most favorite Cypher ( so far if tgey will not make C- 5) . Suga's deliivery rap of " Click clack to the bang bang" my most fave verse!!💜💜💜
I love Cypher pt4, wow, I've got another dimension, the line of BTS rap is magnified, and even though it's loud, it's an army of love
Hearing a stadium of 70,000+ people yelling “I love myself!” is so awesome back when they used to do it live 😅
The cypher mix of all 4 in concert. Gets the whole stadium going!! The 2017 melody is on repeat in my house.
this is truly one of my favourite rapline songs ever. i love it and i'm so glad that you guys enjoyed it!
💜🇧🇷💜their live performance for this song is amazing!!! They get all the crowded crazy!!! I love it!! Thanks
Thank you for your wonderful reaction.

Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I believe they kill it in this cypher, but the third one bro it hits differently every time, I'm in love with these masterpieces they are making
A slice of Cypher 4 is performed in the beginning before Mic Drop at MAMA 2017 is awesome.
Totally agree Cypher Medley Live!!!! It definitely hits different 🔥🎤 🎶
Mic drop is also the quote unquote end of the cypher series. Namjoon talked about it in a livestream back in 2017, it was something along those lines
@@g100-w6j I was thinking about including MIC DROP, but since I was just talking about rap line songs I left it out. I believe he goes over it in the LY: Her Album behind? 'Cause he talks about the bits everyone wrote, which is super interesting
korean sentence structure has the verb at the end so you always have to listen all the way through to get the meaning.
You guys should check out Tear live performance by them. One of my favorites. DDaeng and Ugh too.
Its like speaking like Yoda. The end half of the sentence moves to the beginning. Alot of non english languages are structured like that and its funny as hell when english speakers try to learn
Now you guys should react to the cypher medley live!!!💜
Next , is to watch the Cypher medley with them wearing the silver jackets.
You have to watch their Cypher live medley performance , it's 🔥!
Now you need to watch them rap live - their stage presence and interplay with the audience is off the chart…enjoy!
You really really got to see them LIVE. All links below have good Eng subs

Ddaeng: th-cam.com/video/e76cjiENpGU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lt-GGmFQo4kMDCAz
I'm thinking they closed out the trash talking with this Cypher. They are now starting to let go of caring so much about the haters. They will now be moving on to better things and the haters can continue to do the usual if they chose to. Bangtan will just no longer care too much about it. You can tell by how RM and Suga have released their solo albums. BTS will now move on to their next stage.
you should totally check born singer, hip-hop phile, ddaeng, outro tear and some more of their solo stuff!! jhope's album goes craaazyyyyy as well as rm's and suga's too
this is definitely a crowd pleaser, but cypher 2 will always be my favorite

Thanks for reacting to the cyphers
you guys should watch the live cypher medley watch the guys in real time, their stage presence on top of their rap is awesome
Bae means something different in korea. There is a video that explains the lyrics and the meaning of Bae. There is multiple meanings.
Cypher medley live is fire. Hope mentions 1verse which is fire he put that out on SoundCloud back in the day it’s the best from el chapo. His lyricism was crazy on that one
Check out "Hip Hop Phile(Lover)" and "Born Singer" remake of J Cole Born Sinner! 🙋🏽♀️🤗💜✌️🙏🇺🇸 #BTSxArmyGlobalDomination
up
The whole point of this particular cypher is the "I'm unbothered, Happy with myself and will not entertain your negativity/hate any longer." To continue making cyphers would be cruel considering the inability for haters to make a dent on their shield.
You need to se this in live performance, there's a medley, also they do a concert in busan and they performed cypher 3 and ugh
Cypher 4, minha preferida....
Ojalá pudieran escuchar estos cypher en vivo❤

The Cyphers were a clap back to their haters 💜💟♾️💜
bts have been training since 2010...they debuted at 2013. cypher pt. 4 came out 2016. the lyrics vid especially of their old stuff might not be the best reference for the track release. ☺️
also, you already know bae is a slang for babe/baby in english. but it's actually a double entendre. in korea, people who have seniority over you in a particular industry or even in school will be called "sunBAE" which is a term of respect. rm here is mocking supposedly sunbae or seniors in the hip hop industry who's fuming with jealousy and hating on bts. lol lil trivia. many wordplays are lost in translation.
for strictly cypher, my fave is pt.
2. for a song, i love pt. 3. but pt.4 is an anthem and a good wrap up. :)
Thank you for this! 👏 I'm almost 6 yrs in & haven't seen or made the 'bae' connection before. Luv learning new things 💜
@@LM-0309 oh wow! we're the same! i'm a feb 2018 army! 💜🤗
As you finished the BTS Cypher series you should definitely watch/react to the Cypher medley live !!
As always BTS is better live !!
You gotta watch the Taylor Guide to BTS members… a short documentary.. it’ll give you a bit of history as to why the cyphers.
The Cyphers were part of their albums. Cypher 4 is like ok I do not hate you any more cause I love myself, I am healthy, I am happy and I am at the top so good luck
Please round this out by reacting to the cypher medley live! And TEAR live! I saw it in person twice and I'm still not over it.
CYPHER MEDLEY LIVE SHOULD BE DONE NOW!!!
U guys must check out their live performance of the cyphers
You should react to daeng..UGH..outro tear too...that's also so good..expecialy the live perfm.....becouse every songs of BTS..s the most best things is the live version....all bts song is more and more good if you watch the live performance..their song..their stage..theur kharisma..their voice is just too good❤❤
P.S. Super proud of you listening and appreciating! Game represents game!
You must see the live of all the cyphers.
This might be the last Cypher they released, but its not the last rap line track. Try: Outro: Tear, Ugh, and Ddaeng
Hope you enjoy!
6:31 y’all should also check out Jhope - 1verse
It was his first solo track rapping alone and he did it all himself, it’s also sampled 50cent but just checking it out it’s a vibe
And BTS - Baepsae (they have a choreography video if you want to hear and watch how they dance to it , when I first heard it that’s the video I watched when it was posted but I didn’t know if the lyrics so it’s fun and then when you get into the lyrics it’s very deep so yea)
If you can find the cypher medley when they sing it loud with an audience, that would be nice.
Y’all need to react to the higher music cypher you would ready enjoy it
