Loved the video. We spent ten days on the Danube in 2018. Our boat was Uniworld’s newly renovated SS Beatrice. It was smaller in comparison to this boat, but more than lovely. The words “no” and “I can’t” are NOT in the crews’ vocabulary. We were some of the youngest people on board, and had no issue with the age difference. We all got along famously and met for drinks several times after dinner.
We’re going to France this November….we’ll be on the Joie d’Vivre cruising along the Seine. With a trip planned for next fall, either in Spain or the Balkans. Uniworld isn’t at all affordable, but you get every bit of what you pay for. Ocean cruises? Forget those loud, over crowded petri-dishes of Norwalk virus. Give me a river cruise any day. But if you can, let Uniworld do the sailing for you. It’s all inclusive PLUS they’ll book your airfare and all transfers once you’ve arrived at the airport. It’s a tremendous experience. Unforgettable.

We did a 28 night uniworld RC. Amsterdam to Istanbul…. Fabulous is an understatement….
Wow! That sounds INCREDIBLE!
Wow , the last part must be by coach, as the Danube does not end in Istanbul, but goes to Romania and out in the Black Sea.
Chris Williams. Yes , Uniworld flew us from Bucharest airport to Istanbul and we had a few days there at the intercontinental hotel ( with the tour director) - then flew home.
Half The people got off at Budapest, and another half got back on and did the Budapest to Bucharest. We did not realise this when we booked the river cruise. It was our first river cruise and didn’t realise it was two back to back. But probably over 50% stayed on the whole way through. And we have remained friends with a number of them to this day. This river cruise is the benchmark for all others. I think it was about five or six years ago and I’m still trying to lose the weight. However we’ve since done two on Emerald River cruises, and they also were fantastic. And to be honest not much difference in quality. In fact we’ve booked two more with Emerald. But that uni world one will stay in my heart forever. And they had a one day special only, that was a two for one deal. So even though it was quite a bit of money for us, looking at the prices now it was an absolute bargain for what you got. I cannot recommend them highly enough ( Uniworld) . I might add that out of the 110 people on the river cruise, only 30 people elected to go to the Istanbul portion, because it had been a volatile time in Istanbul at that period. There had been bombings and all sorts of problems in parts of the world. So as you can see the majority of the people decided to get a Refund from uni world for the flight and Istanbul portion. But we were happy to go and uni world sent the cruise director with us which was really good. Three weeks later the stadium ,that we looked down upon from our room in the Intercontinental,
Chris Williams. That stadium in Istanbul had a bomb out the front and many people lost their lives, so we were very lucky
@@happytraveller2122 yes we lived Uniworld, agree expensive, especially since going all inclusive a few yrs ago. Only went as I got a Travel Agent rate . We also went Emerald Waterways, agree they are excellent value for money. I am a retired TA, so no perks now. Take care .

The ship we went on was The river Duchess. Decorate d in creams and muted colours. Very nice.
When we stopped next to other Uniworld ships, we were able to look through them and as every ship is different ( decorated) in the fleet…. We were able to see a wide variety of different decors … some were startling to say the least. Looks like they’ve toned the colours down alittle 😊
I agree, the SS Bon Voyage looks slightly understated compared to some, although we're on SS Maria Theresa in December and she is anything but understated! Can't wait! 😆

No it's not. It's us appreciating a very nice ship, as we always do. :) Actually, have you considered just how many videos you watch on TH-cam that don't properly disclose what they were guests? We properly disclose everything, which in our view makes us MORE genuine and reliable, not less.
