Stripping away the flesh and being born again in Christ is rewarding and hard at the same time. When I got saved I thought life would be easier but boy oh boy did life show its tail, my first heavy spirit that I encountered was my boss.
Yes, you don't ask for suffering but when you're in the midst of suffering, go through it with prayer; standing on His Word, knowing He is right there in the midst of it with us. As we trust Him, His power ignites because us trusting Him is His desire, and he will bring us through, and all things will work out for the good because trusting Him is loving Him and believing His Word.
Thank you Jackie Hill-Perry for reminding me, as a mature woman, to not give up on the generation of young women behind me if I am not received the first, second, or umpteenth time. There was a season in my late twenties when, no matter which way I turned away from my mother's pursuit of my heart, there she was. I thank God for Cece's podcast today, where I could get what I needed from a sandwich perspective. We truly do need each other, and I'm blessed because God made us this way. All praise and glory to God!
Interesting that they're talking about trials and suffering. Cece's music has helped me through my suffering, praising God and getting encouraged by her songs. She's a real blessing to me.
Jackie said "Defaulting to the flesh to understand our suffering"....that's a whole Spiritual University Course in and of itself. My friend's husband is having brain strokes unseen, the doctor crying and stopped the MRI because she couldn't handle what she was seeing. 4 strokes in 20 minutes. We started praying and the Holy Spirit says I can't do what I want until he "forgives", Our prayers were stopped at "Forgiveness". God help us as a people.
I always say "I'm fine, I'm good, I don't need help" but I have been suffering for over 10years and have been seeking a grown up sent by God who can talk to me... so I'm still waiting because I'm empty, hungry, thirsty, drained, weak, and desperate.... all with a smile pasted on my face. My body is now fighting me because I haven't connected with the Titus women in my life.
Watching and loving these two very important Kingdom women all the way from South Africa. This is so so good. I'm so glad they know each other and had this conversation and filmed it for us. Such a blessing. Cece is gorgeous and so warm. Jackie is gorgeous and a fierce force that's timeously needed especially for this generation that has a "sexuality confusion". And she's much more than that because she's going deeper into God's word and helping us grow in our walk with Christ in different aspects of our lives. It's been my prayer for the older generation to share the word in word and deed. example: invite younger women over to share things that are relevant to them whether it be caring for their children or showing them how to bake or cook a good meal. Sometimes just being available with a listening ear
Come on Jackie!!! Speak on it!! Some of older saints need to reevaluate themselves before connecting to the younger generation. I’ve had that experience myself..some speak from their past experiences but are still stubborn,selfish and stuck in their own ways. I’m very wise and pay close attention to anything said to me.

Such a blessing you two are, I have so missed the wisdom in my grandparents and parents. I often think about the conversations that we had. My grandmother had me reading the Bible to her at 9 years old. While the other kids were out playing, I would be reading her the word. She is no longer here, and I miss her and her wisdom so much.

It's on both ends because you have older women that are jealous of the youth. And the younger women that are too haughty to even have these conversations. And then get mad at the mirror in their own face 👀. Thats its important to pray for discernment and ask the Lord to give you someone. The teaching isnt just in Word, it is also indeed. There are many "Christian celebrities" who pretty much mimic the lifestyles of carnal Christians, if you will. In other words, when Babes in Christ are focused on the optics and the boasting of outward appearance more than the inner sanctification. Timothy is encouraged to stir up the gift of God in him.
This is sooo profound!!! I literally was talking to my Husband yesterday about how I have never had a spiritual mother to take me and nurture, train and teach me. I am now in the seat of passing the baton and I’m an encourager and always sharing the word with the younger generation every opportunity I can…I believe this is a revelation that is being addressed by the body of believers and I am excited for the nurturing of women as well as our men that we are embarking upon!!!

Wow! These ladies! For a couple of weeks now, I've been thinking about this same thing. The Holy Spirit is awesome and so kind. I thank the Lord for teaching us the power that we can gain from our suffering. And the wisdom they share about the importance of the mature woman in the work of ministry is so so good.
LEANING into the suffering…YES LORD!!!! Dealing with that in my life now… 2 Corinthians 4:8-10: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”Then 16-18: 16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Hallelujah! It ALL has a purpose! To GOD be the GLORY!!!!

I agree that it is crucial to value the wisdom of the elders in our lives. My mother used to advise me about some directions I was taking in my life, and I would dismiss them. Now that I'm older, I realize that had I been listening to her or sought out her wisdom concerning some matters of life, I would have avoided a lot of heartaches that I experienced.

I am super eager to learn from you on all platforms as I find you super relatable and true to the Word!! Also love Preston and the podcast is super helpful for me to learn how to pray for and give the gospel to Certain communities that may have an unhealthy understanding of our God!! Thank you! Please put it in a book the stories that our senior saints demonstrated through miracles signs and wonders in the local church in the home not the most popular and noted saints but “regular” family members who God used. I have great memories of how God me and my mother and I know you and your family have similar experiences.
