Could not help but laugh at the various designs of the Maple Leaf. Live in Upstate NY and have grown u with them, and that truly was a fun project! Philip was closest! Stephanie was getting better and better. Such a sweet one . Vivienne did a spectacular job as well If we moved to France, I do think we would choose Dordogne. It is warmer and it seems charming. I am guessing as I have not been to France, and would maybe need to do more searching on this, but so far it seems closest. Nice to see all of you together and enjoying such fun in the village area. One thing that helps is that if you come from Canada you already know the French language! Happy Birthday, Simon!

Sarah I have to say that being able to stroll down the lane each day to your local Boulangerie has got to be one of the top 10 "I love...". Your narration had me LOL - especially the poinsettias into maple leaves. The Brocante? Yes, please. The two bureaus absolutely lovely. The maple syrup in the eclaire - I am sure that is already part of village legend...'mais Oui...she asked me to place the syrup in the eclaire. I said but of course et voila! we have a new tradition on July 1st at the boulangerie!'. Delightful!

you did an amazing job on the tiles, steve! it must have taken you a long time and it turned out beautifully, the fountain is great! you really did justice to derek jarvis' artwork! my only suggestion would be to try make the outlines of the characters in front of the chateau (or of all of them) double or maybe even three times the thickness they are now for better visibility from a few steps back and better white/blue - balance. also, maybe i'm completely wrong :D
