All American 6x07 "Passin' Me By" Season 6 Episode 7 - It's New Year's Eve and Spencer (Daniel Ezra) and Olivia (Samantha Logan) are determined to ring in the new year together despite several interruptions that arise throughout the day. Elsewhere, Jordan (Michael Evans Behling) gets advice on how to navigate a sensitive topic with Layla (Greta Onieogou), and Asher (Cody Christian) comes clean to Jaymee (guest star Miya Horcher) about a secret he's been keeping (#607). I love Jaymee and Asher together they’re so underrated
Without a doubt best couple in the show
Honestly, they probably have had the healthiest relationship. Jordan/LAyla lash out at each other for not comunicating over and over again. Spencer and Liv always seem to keep secrets. Until this, Jaymee/Ash have always been a unit. Hope they get through this. Not quite sure if they made up by end of episode

As a person who kept the fact that she was getting off her medication for lupus from Asher, Jamie's kind of a hypocrite for this. because in that moment, she risked her health trying to be "herself." but as for the lie, yeah she's right to be mad at Asher for that.
Nah she got off the lupus meds to help with the pregnancy, not to try and be “herself.” the meds had risk towards her pregnancy, and baby AJ, so she decided to stop taking them so that the baby could be as healthy as possible. She did it literally for the baby and he’s saying he did it for the baby too which i’m sure deep down that’s part, But by the way he went around it, It was for him.
@@mckenziejones7623 yeah, I rewatched that clip, and she never mentioned the baby. Sounded more like her reasons for getting off the mess was about her, and not her child. And actually by allowing herself to get pregnant (not a terrible choice, don't get me wrong), with her condition that was a risk in and of itself. Quite certain she wanted this, and she knew that. So I'll have to disagree with this.
I get her being upset that Asher lied about what he was doing, but I do understand his side about being normal again. If I were in his shoes, and was given a second chance to pursue a dream, I would forsure look into it, before talking to her.

I don't think he would especially right now cause in the past he was no near showing any happiness cause all he was doing was steroids so he get his strength back into football and dealing with all the drinking and lying and having abandonment issues when he was in high school his dad too damn stupid not to recognize what his son been up to cause asher dad barely be home, asher is trying find ways and find whatever it is so he doesn't f*ck up he's struggling he just doesn't want to end up like his parents asher mom divorced asher dad and asher trying to forgive his mom and his dad and not only that his dad is a drunkie, asher just trying to figure everything out for himself and dealing with the fact his girlfriend has lupus asher is terrified what if one day he comes home and jaymee is laid out on the floor dead while they're son is screaming and crying at the top of his lungs, asher maybe a liar but he's struggling
He's happily happy for once and got his self together and got a beautiful blessing and that's having Jaymee and his son in his life
Asher if you read this just know keep up the good work and Don't f*ck up your relationship with Jaymee over something silly and fix whatever it is don't lose her Jaymee truly loves you how you truly love her, God bless y'all love y'all

My thing is asher should have told her what he was doing and not lied to her because they had the conversation about talking about the good and bad things in a relationship and plus how he reacted at first when he found out about her not taking her meds

I saw the resentment. Smh. I get that he wants to live his dreams but his family should always come first. That’s exactly what broke up Tom Brady and Gizele. They’re about to break up Asher and Jaymee, smh.💔

@apathir naw! Tom said he was going to retire to spend more time with his family! And he went right back like his family didn’t matter. That’s why they divorced. Meanwhile Gisele put her career to the side for years and held the family home and children down!

Jaymee was a little hypocrite. If I remember correctly, didn't she hid her Lupus medication from Asher last season
But there's a difference, Jaymee stopped taking her medication because of her pregnancy, she didn't tell Asher so as not to worry him... but I understand, Jaymee reacted like that because she cares and is afraid of losing Asher

Respect to Spencer
I think they are two factors at play for Jaymee being upset number one being that Asher lied to her about being at work when he was actually seeing a new cardiologist (which I think he should have absolutely told her about so that she wouldn't have felt betrayed by him) and then secondly the huge chance he was taking by getting back on the field with him still having a chance of going into cardiac arrest. But on the flip side underneath her hurt and anger I think they're is some understanding as well because number she knows what its like to want to be back in control of your own health with how she kept the fact she had stopped taking her lupus medications while she was pregnant. And she also knows what its like to have to let go of your dream because of how she had to stop swimming when she was diagnosed with Lupus when she was younger.
At the end of the day I think this argument was important for their relationship because I feel like now after both of these bumps of the roads they have weathered together that their communication will only grow stronger because for the most part they have had great communication between them.
P.S. Miya (who plays Jaymee) totally ate this scene! I hope that we get to see more of her acting range throughout the rest of season six!! 🤗

I feel like they’re about to make Jaymee cheat on Asher, the drama is already starting. They better not, smh! I love their little family. Jaymee is beautiful and perfect for Asher, he better put a ring on it! Even Jabari had to let him know how good he got it and that he better had told her about his decision.❤️
