They recently found a print on the beach in Wales (I think!) that is 36” long! Even the toenails/claws are easy to see. They sat that they dinosaur making the print was probably a megalosaurus, and it’s hip joint would have been about 10’ high.
And I agree, being able to stop at interesting places along the road is one of the best parts.
Your energy and joy are contagious. For a person like me in my late fifties and pretty depressed, you help me keep going.

I recently took a 9 day drive down the west coast of the U.S. from Seattle to Pebble Beach, CA. I planned nothing..... just kind of went wherever my nose and instincts took me. Some of my best moments came from the impromptu conversations I had with people I met along the way - like your conversation with Michael at Dinosaur Tracks. You can’t have those when you fly.

When living in the moment, vs. tied to an pre planned itenery, needing to be at a specific spot at a specific time, you get more unexpected moments that make it an overall better experience. Focused on getting to the next planned destination, compared to stopping at a location unplanned, you have unforgettable moments that could never be planned.

Glad to see someone else knows how to chop a carrot. I do it the same way. I also do a lot of same ingredients in my meals with different bases. My bases include yams, sweet potatoes, avocados, coconut yogurt and nut milks. Full time Westfalia van for 4yrs now...

When I lived in Colorado in the 80’s I went to a Sniagrab sale at Gart Brothers downtown. I bought a discontinued North Face King Tut sleeping bag. It’s over length, over size diameter and the comfort zone is -35. Great for camping at 12,000’ in January in Colorado.

I have watched your channel for several years and have really enjoyed joining you in your travels. I have traveled all over the country for years and did it tent camping. This was very fun but there were many uncomfortable nights. I just purchased a 2006 Toyota Prius like you had and think this will allow me to have a better experience. I could buy a van like you have for a more comfortable experience but watching your experience with things breaking impressed me that the Prius is a less complicated way to go. Anyway I wanted to thank you for your channel and the fun I’ve had watching you and also the things I’ve learned. 😅
