Let's say you have this computer. You can get some work done on Windows 11, then reboot into Windows XP to play the nostalgic games. And if one operating system, for example 11, breaks down, you could boot into 7 or 8 to transfer your files before reinstalling, and then transfer them back once Windows 11 is done reinstalling.
I'd love to see doing this on a server of some sort that has a lot of drive space. Having a separate partition for all important Windows installations would be super cool
On a real system with the minimum requirements for windows 11, you can go all the way back to windows 95 if you A. use a high memory patcher, and B. (on SATA hard drives and SSDs) use rloews AHCI drivers. Maybe this configuration can go all the way to windows 3.1, but I havent found a way to make it work yet.
If you are wondering on why vmware running so slow this is because of vmware side channel which if you don't is a bug on windows 11 that causes VMware to function so slow that even if you go into the vmware settings for that particular vm and go to options tab advanced disable side channel it will still run slow in order to fix this you have to try on disabling virtual machine platform and hyper v and windows sandbox or update windows or upgrade your vmware version
@@the_windev I also figred it out a year ago but yesterday when I saw your video I thought to help you with that vmware hypervisor problem and also it was also fixed by vmware in Feb of 2023
I have an old Windows Vista computer from 2009 and I managed to install and boot up to 10 different Windows operating systems at the same time, and those operating systems include: Windows XP 32-bit Windows XP 64-bit (I used a special tool called Easy2Boot to install both Windows XPs on a hard drive with the bootmgr MBR) Windows Vista Home Premium (the computer came with this one) Windows Vista Ultimate Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate Windows 8.1 Windows 10 Windows 11 (Yes, I know it usually only installs on UEFI GPT so I installed the OS by creating a custom Windows 10 ISO where I replace the Windows 10 install.wim file with a Windows 11 install.wim file so that it can install on Legacy BIOS MBR)

Yeah i've already done this once, about 4-5 systems. The only constraint is how big your disk space is! Oh and you need AOMEI partition assistant for more than 3.

@@the_windev if you compress drives and dont make so large partitions for oses and use patches for dos oses and use small versions of oses, then you can use every os
I don't think so as it can depend on hardware like Windows 1, 2 and 3 may not work since the hardware may be too new for Windows to make a dual boot and Windows 95 can only run on 512MB of RAM without modifications so i don't think so
@@the_windev these old versions might not work, but there's nothing that would theoretically stop you from making infinite copies of Windows 11, for example. Why would you do that? Not sure. But it is theoretically possible
